Hi Tim- Yes, my hamstrings and hips are definitely more open. And, I feel more flexible in my lower spine as a result! Your instructions to loosen the trapezius skin for the arm stretch was super-helpful. Thank you for the practice. And, I promise not to show up too stoned tomorrow. ha ha ha. I love your comments.

It's good to be reminded that one side of your body may (will) be different from the other, and yoga is different each time you come onto the mat. It's also good to be reminded that anticipating that your "bad" hip/shoulder/whatever is going to act up each time is not particularly helpful. I know I have arthritis in my right foot, but maybe the crescent lunge will be difficult today, or maybe it won't. Paying attention is paramount; learning the difference between backing off and avoidance has helped me.

Beautiful class today, thank you Tim. I have enough openness in the hamstrings to lift the legs to 90º without a strap, but I thought I'd try it today. The gentle pressure of the strap pushing the leg down into the hip socket made a huge difference. Similarly with forward fold, I can touch my toes without aid, but decided to rest on a chair instead, and the experience was much more relaxing on the lumbar region. Today was a good reminder that props aren't just for less flexible people. Props to the props.

I normally do yoga in shorts wearing socks. I can usually stick tree pose. Today, I happened to have on leggings (also with socks.) It was a struggle. I had to move my foot further down my leg and really hug both legs to center. Ironically, I felt it more than ever.

Hi Tim- we are loving the 2022 challenge. I appreciate your demonstration of straps and appreciate the additional time you give in each stretch. It takes me a moment to get my strap situated so that I can begin the stretch. On a separate note, it would be very helpful if the banner image included the title and day of the challenge. We are persuing the challenge every other day and find it difficult to find the day we are looking for.

@@yogawithtim Hi Tim, I am signed up for the challenge and get your emails daily (and appreciate the message and the content). We have created our own challenge by doing them every other day, because the video that pops up when we log in is the most recent one, not the one we are doing. I have tried adding them to a watch later list with each email, but they do not appear in the list when we log in on the TV. You Tube does not list them (on our TV) in the order in which they are posted, so to find our next video, we have to select one, begin it to reveal the title or wait for you to welcome us to Day XX.
We started with you with the 2019 Challenge and it has given my husband and me the opportunity to practice yoga together multiple times a week, no matter where we are. We look forward to starting each year with the 30 day challenge and see a difference in our posture, core strength and flexibility. As avid cyclists, it is become an essential part of our weekly habits. Thank you so much.

Hi Tim, I just discovered your channel recently and am doing the 2022 30 day challenge. I played Pickleball yesterday (or I tried), and I'm old, so today my hips are sore and today's video was perfect (oh, guess I'm not keeping up as I'm only on Day 4 :D ). Your explanation of flexibility was informative too. I often find that when doing the seated arm stretch with one arm behind back and other behind head, my hands touch when my left arm is bent up behind my back, but not the other way (right arm bent up behind back). Hopefully with enough of these flexibility stretches I'll eventually get there! Thank You.

Yes. Keep working at it. No worries on the schedule. I post the videos daily but prefer for you to take this at your own pace. Great job👍

Hey there Tim! Just wanted to say I'm still in (I'm repeating the first 15 days of the challenge) and now only have 10 more days until I join the CMC! (I'm afraid that if I join today I won't be patient enough to continue to do the remainder of the 30 Day Challenge, heh). Wanted also to say that your jokes age well! I laughed harder today at "If you still don't feel a stretch when you do Pigeon -- maybe don't smoke so much pot before class" than I did the first time! Etc. And there is no doubt I am stronger and feeling different (in a good way) in the poses than the first time around. Thanks so much, and I'm stoked to finish the last 10 days and then join the CMC!

Great hangover session. Shoulders and upper back is SORE after yesterday's class, and the leg stretches were very yummy. My right shoulder is very stiff and rigid, while I can comfortably shake my own hand behind my back when my left arm is underneath. Strange skill but I like to think it adds to my charm. Looking forward to continuing these daily practices!

This was really good 👍 I walk and run and have an issue with tight hamstrings. I think I will come back to this time over as I learnt something new today which is about holding the stretch for 1-2 minutes. Years of martial arts with aggressive stretching of 10 seconds on each ligament and now you tell me this! Brilliant thanks again for a great class, seems you can teach a 50 year old dog new tricks😃👍🤷🏼‍♂️Graham Hampshire. U.K.

When you proposed to set the leg straight toward the ceiling, I immediately thought "Oh nice, I'm gonna talk about my short hamstrings in the comments!". I just can't keep my leg straight in that position. I have learned over the years that I just can't do that which is very frustrating when you take ballet classes and you start on the ground trying to find your 'en dehors'" with your leg in the air. It's so funny how flexible some parts of my body can be and how tight my hamstrings are. It was really nice to have time to stay in the stretch. That's clearly something I do not do enough just because I lack time and always want to do as much as possible when I practice yoga. The long stretch at the beginning clearly made it easier to bend over the straight leg in the standing pose. We've already worked on so many things in just five days. I'm rediscovering some poses and some sensations. Can't wait to go deeper into the practice. Day 5 completed. The first day of fasting in 2022 completed too. Thanks Tim, for being super inspiring.
