This video means more to me than it should. It was because of GameXplain's guides on this game that I was able to find all the gems, and I subscribed to thank them for that! Now here he is, 3 years later, playing that same game with the very first TH-camr I ever subscribed to!

Every time Chugga references something Fire Emblem related, a part of me still waits for the day he LPs Awakening or Fates (or both preferably!).
He should LP FE7 before either of those.

I'd personally like to see him do Path of Radiance or Sacred Stones.
Chugga often likes to do games that sometimes go under people's radar, and people don't respect the older Fire Emblem games enough. Everyone already knows about Awakening and Fates, so I'd love to see Chugga show all the newer fans some old-school Fire Emblem.
And also, Path of Radiance is my personal favorite, so bias. :D

I did Worldwide Rush Mode. I don't have enough friends to make a full team. so I figured that would be the only way to enjoy Rush mode. Well, this was around the time that game first came out, and everyone was spamming "Help Help" for no reason because it was so amusing. Well, one floor 1, I got trapped, but since everyone else was doing it literally constantly (I muted my game, that's how constant people were spamming it), no one took my Help Help seriously, and we failed on the first floor because I was on a team full of idiots.
Okay, not really, but I can see that happening easily.

One of the things I really miss from the first luigis mansion were the portrait ghosts, I really like them and was disappointed when I learned they didn't return to the sequel

I played both games, but I did my LP of Luigi's Mansion after I did Dark Moon, i found myself struggling with the controls. DM had much more polished controls... where you could charge up and flash, for the original you had to point your light, and then vacuum.
I use GameXplain for my Nintendo news all the time and Derrick is my favorite between everyone in the GameXplain crew.
I think the original Luigi's Mansion is just scarier. The haunted place, the ghosts, it all feels more impactful than it does in Dark Moon - in the first game, the ghosts weren't playful, they only laughed while they tried to murder you, but in this game, the ghosts kind of have their own lives and personalities, you can see them goofing off with each other and such. Dark Moon is not good as a game with ghosts in it, they might as well be Leprechauns for all the difference it would make; the ghosts in the first game, on the other hand, really felt like ghosts, like things to be afraid of. So it depends on what you want out of a Luigi's Mansion game. That's my stance on the matter. :)

***** I'm sorry but it's extremely boring playing solo and the timed modes are rather too much for just one person. Also, when playing alone, you can still get stuck in traps, meaning you automatically lose because of shenanigans.

Haha, talk about percentages screwing you, let's talk XCOM. I was playing a battle against my buddy, and he had a 95% chance to hit my guy- Which missed. He then had a NINETY NINE percent chance to hit... Which also missed! I then beat him just from that.
Other than that, I have a term I call "XCOM RNG" Where even if the percentages seem good, they'll still fail you.

On Dark Moon over the original;
I enjoyed DM as a whole more than the original but I feel like it lost the spooky atmosphere, and the lack of portrait ghosts was a real shame. I loved how every portrait ghost was a puzzle in of itself and figuring them all out was a blast. Here, the puzzle solving is all environmental, and while i love me some environmental puzzles, ditching the portrait ghosts entirely was a bad idea IMO. And it's not like they couldn't have done them! You could've had a pianist in the gloomy manor, a botanist and little girl in the haunted towers, a miner in the mines, and so on. I don't know, it just... bugs me.
Also, unrelated, but the original mansion should have totally been an unlockable bonus mansion.
Oh man, that idea for an unlockable bonus mansion is super cool! Would have been neat to have some kind of speed running mission there or something. I know in interviews, the developers of Dark Moon said the Portrait Ghosts weren't interesting and samey, but I don't really agree. I do too wish this game had more boss fights.
Can you imagine the boss for the Treacherous Mansion being a king and a queen? Or most likely members of a very rich family? That would be awesome!

I also prefer Dark Moon to the original. I really like the multiple missions per mansion structure here because it gives you more to do in these areas while also changing things up depending on which mission you choose.

So for Chugga and anyone else who wants to know (and doesn't want to look it up). There are 5 base types of boss ghosts, one based on almost each of the basic types of enemy, a Greenie, a Slammer, a Gobber, a Sneaker, and a Creeper (Sorry Hiders, no love for you). And each of those 5 types has 9 costumes associated with them, the first is just default, then you have one where they're dressed in some fancy clothes, one covered in flowers, one made to look like food, one with a Halloween costume, one based on insects, one based on sports equipment, one based on land animals, and one based on marine animals. All with their own punny names, and descriptions in the Vault. Combine that all with The Brain (who doesn't have any variations), means that you've got 46 bosses unique to the Scarescraper (And the Polterpup and Big Polterpup also unique to Scarescraper), even if they are just 5 actual original ones and a bunch of reskins can we still have some of those for the main game?

Honestly, I'd love to see a Luigi's Mansion game made by Retro Studios. They nailed the exploration vibes from the Metroid Prime games, while giving the levels a bit of backstories to them.
I'd love for them to return the variety of places you go to like in Dark Moon, but be more exploration-based like in the original game, rather than having level-based structures.
The mansions would be something like the Prime games where you can have this item to scan and tell you about the deep lore and backstories about them and the ghosts that live there to bring back the darker feel of the original LM, while providing the slapstick comedy with expressional characters from DM. Of course the gameplay would still be the same with some new things added to it.
I'd love to see a Luigi's Mansion 3 game like that, but of course the Metroid fandom would probably disagree with me.

Hell to the yes, in birthright I had a 9% chance of missing and well it missed
In Fates if you don't have a 100% chance of hitting then it is extremely likely you'll miss and it is so annoying >~

Btw yes I analyzed a 2 year old video and found the biggest mistakes they made, these kind of mistakes bother me a ton, because they are totally avoidable with proper communication and planning...

The game series were everything you say about it is an innuendo.
TRG and these Scarescraper videos encourage me that if I ever do any LPs they WILL be multi-player. Just that playing off each other is so hilarious and sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately any posting on my FB page about video games gets NO response from my family there. Oh well. They also can't identify with the UFO/military/alien thing either so I should be used to that. ;-)

Chugga if you see this then PLEASE go back to the mission "Hit rock bottom", you missed something awesome in the deep hall, look through both peepholes right when you enter the room, you will NOT be disappointed! make sure you are recording!
I know no one will read this, but if you play rush mode, in almost all of the furniture items there will be clocks. I've played rush yesterday with 2 minutes left to spare when we escaped, because everyone was collecting so many clocks.
So the only time Chugga has been able to clear the ScareScraper is with Proton Jon as his only guest. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
One time I was with my brother playing scarescraper, we were looking for a key, but we couldn't find it! We checked everything and we ran out of time!

Happened to me on floor 19 of a 25 floor scraper. It seems to be some kind of glitch. It really sucks when it happens, cause it's not even your fault if it ends.
