Yeah, that freaked me out too. And I watched this video after my mom helped me kill 2 spiders. (I'm a bit arachnophobic but I can kill them with the vacuum. Unfortunately for me the spider in my bedroom was in a very difficult spot so I had to get my mom to help me out.)

Why has no else questioned the fact that the Front Door Key was as big as Luigi when E. Gadd gave it to us, only for it to shrink down when Luigi puts it in the keyhole? How in the heck does that make any sense!?

That's the case with all keys (except the key for the wooden door). They're giant when Luigi first gets it but become regular size when being used. I think Luigi's pants have the power to shrink things.

I have to admit, when I first played through the game that jumpscare when Luigi opens the front door got me even with the fact that it was obvious King Boo was behind it all from the very beginning.
That's mainly because you still don't expect to suddenly see his face right there... and his face is honestly kinda scary...
Still I love how King Boo is a foreboding villain who doesn't even try to properly hide his presence. He's up in your face, hanging with his minions making sure the work is being done and all in a creepy manner.

The fact that the two toads for this mission were green and purple is really adorable if you think about it.
This represents Luigi and the Dark Moon he is so close to completing as well as a certain purple-clad individual.
Also Green is in the East area, while purple is in the complete opposite direction, West, which starts with a "W".
Even E. Gadd forgetting them could've referenced their secondary roles to "Red" and "Yellow" which is why they get along.

Blue Sparx It was definitely a stretch, but mostly my intent was to make a fun comparison. There wasn't really any example of color theory within what I said. I took the other route by examining something simple and connecting it symbolically to another thing whether it was the intent of the creators or not. Teachers do that too, and it can get annoying if overdone, so feel free to interpret any art/media however you prefer.

First time I saw that cutscene, I got super-scared because it wasn't what I had expected in the cutscene. Also, I had max on sound with headphones so..., but luckily, I was laying in the bed and the 3DS survived just fine when I suddenly threw it forward while dragging the headphones along with it.

In the kitchen from the Treacherous Mansion, There’s a gold bone hidden in that dish cart!
I love how the Mansions in this game are all based on different types of big buildings or structures.
Gloomy Manor is an actual mansion
Haunted Towers is a Hotel
Old Clockworks is a factory
Secret Mine is a... Well a mine
To round it out Treacherous Mansion is a museum.
They easily could have just went "they're all mansions but different because ghosts changed them and/or where they are located. Instead they gave them little histories that tie into the way they are designed. The vertical design of the Haunted Towers the gear motif of the Old Clockworks the ski slope and subterranean locations in the Secret mine ect.
And what a better way to end this game then with a giant building that is not only ornate like a mansion would be but is also a clever way to remix and reintroduce the different areas you've found yourself in while at the same time giving the area it's own unique feel and style.
The art direction and care that went into this game really shows a lot of love.

I always thought each area had a major theme. The gloomy manor was just a normal mansion, the haunted towers I always thought was a gaint green house or garden care area, the old clockworks was a factory, the secret mine was both a mine and an ski lounge of some kind, and we finally come to the treacherous mansion which is a museum. It is just so much variety and I love it.

Oh my gosh! I love the scene at the beginning of this level, with the whole King Boo being behind his back. King Boo, Luigi's coming for you!
Also, this mission has some fun puzzles, but that is the second to last mission that has forced boos. there is one more, and it is not the final boss that I am talking about. But, no more said for those who have not played this game. It is a really good game, and has some cool puzzles. Secret mine and Old Clockworks were my two favorite.
