That's true, so am I, and I'm in my late 20's _with_ a family💍👶🏻, trying to connect the RiiConnect24 on the modded wiis. Have one for the kids _and_ us. PS. I also recommend buying two NES adapter and the Gamecube microphone, first for the NES DuckHunt game, and the second for Mario Party 6 and 8 for the GC.
If anyone was trying but it did not function, the reason is because they are no longer using the the 164 DNS they now use 167.86.108.126 and the secondary is 1.1.1.1 as of June 2022.

I'm 31 years old and never owned a Wii, my only experience with it was when my friend lent me his console to play Xenoblade Chronicles (game series that I absolutely adore to this day) but never messed with it beyond that one game. As someone that actually has modded PS2 FAT and OG Xbox consoles I love how easy is to mod the Wii, barely anything can go wrong and if it does the fixes are quite easy.
Very informative video, this will help many people who might want to join the modding scene. I noticed my check mii out channel user mii in the background at 7:15 ,I barely won that contest for biggest virtual boy fan mii. There's a lot of user's on that channel that are really creative and artistic at making miis and from what I've seen they are far better at it than me. Anyway great video, keep up the good work!

Hey i got a problem, when i connect the wii to my wifi then go to wiiconnect24 in order to get to the agreement it says connection failed, am i doing something wrong?
Also experienced this issue, but I found out that Riiconnect recently changed the primary DNS server to 167.86.108.126. The secondary DNS is still 1.1.1.1.
the only issue I have is that the RiiConnect24 patcher keeps asking me about the VC redist, and despite already having it installed, If I choose to let it install again, the patching just resets back to 0% and asks me again when it reaches like 70% or something

Confirmed! The DNS at this point is now 167.87.108.126, DNS in Video will expire June 2023 as stated on Wii news channel on old DNS, after DNS update confirmed channels are working.
Pretty much self explanatory, optional at time of video, expired at the June date, so for it to work needs to change to updated DNS, the benifet is most of the inop channels will work since nintendo has discontinued and RiiConnect24 has work around@@fuckenps3

yes and technically there is a way to download homebrew without an SD card but it's recommended to prevent bricking the system. There are tons of videos on how to do so but the safest and easiest way is to have an SD card

I tried managing the data and deleted some stuff but it still says it was full. I did try turning the wii on and off but the message showed up. Sorry if this sounded stupid as I am new to modding. i got my wii shipped to me today and the only issue i’m having is connecting to wifi like it’s showing everybody wifi that’s near and im connected to other devices on my wifi but not excessive i tried to type in manually but ain’t work 🤦🏾♂️
You need to have separate channels for 5ghz and 2.4ghz. You also need to make sure you select the correct WPA setting and Password when setting it up manually. I had the same issue. I had to buy a new router for it to work

You need an SD card or USB to install RiiConnect24, this should have been clear from the opening of the video...

Don't worry! It'll just overwrite the old ones, the working channels will be in the same spot as the blank ones
