- In this video I go over a few counter-play options to Sonic's spin dash, homing attack, and other key options so you can improve a bit at the matchup, if you feel lost. I'll most likely be making some Chrom specific content next, but this was a fun detour. Please let me know if you have questions or are curious about anything!

Great guide! The video editing is good for the plays, but the text was a bit small and hard to tell when it changed. I missed it a few times cause I was watching the examples and didn't notice the text had refreshed
Agreed. Since it's based off the Awakening dialogue boxes, you could incorporate the little clicking noise that happens in Awakening when advancing dialogue to make it more obvious.
Here are some as a sonic main:
-A thing about spin dash too,the hitbox doesn't fully cover sonic,so use that and space some moves to hit him,aireal spin dash will beat most non-transended projectiles so be wary of that.And sonic mains some times will mix it up with down B to win the interaction when your expecting side B since it has higher priority.
-You'll need to worry about sonic's other moves,f-smash is so spammable so when your at 100sh perecnt expect it and it is a bit unsafe on shield.
-Try forcing sonic to double jump to recover since while he can use homing attack it is predictable.
When in the air most sonic mains will up B d-air,however in ultimate sonic's up B gives him extra 10 frames landing lag.
-avoid grabs espicially on platform stages,sonic gets so much of it it hurts.
-Sonic's moves won't reqaly work like up air and down B so know that.
And sonics homing attack is mostly used in advantage so don't really sweat it until sonic hits you.
As a Sonic main, this is more applicable for if Sonic does not have a lead already. It’s an amazing and highly vital guide to the matchup, but he can easily mix up his approach timing and angle. He can interact with you whenever he wants to. So nothing would stop him from running or causing the knowledge of this fight to be less than half the battle essentially

You shouldn't have an option that is so good that the character isn't able to do anything whitout it

Spin charge and Spindash are different. Also Spindash is when fully charged is positive on parry

Ok as a sonic mane for me I don’t do this but! I’ve seen so many other people do this I struggle beating sonic as sonic man it’s just annoying and that’s coming from a sonic player!! And also, do you know how many times I’ve tried using the homing attack and I just get heeled off the stage my god…

Spin dash, homing attack either as a get off me tool or spin dash combo. Up b to escape everything. Run back and forward smash. Grabs a lot if in shield

This was really annoying to watch because I didn’t know whether to look at the text waiting for it to change to a new text or watch the action and see visually what the text is talking about. Was very distracting to have to watch the two. Maybe either talk instead of text boxes, or show the text on screen first then follow up with the video demonstration.
The guide above this one has UR2SLOW where he says that Sonic is bottom tier (lies)
