We try out three amazing Vietnamese MUST TRY dishes in the suburb of Marrickville in Sydney. In Marrickville Vietnamese restaurants, you tend to see a fair bit more of Northern Vietnamese dishes. We tried Bún Chả (vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and meatballs in a fish dipping sauce dressing), Bánh Cuốn (fresh rice rolls with pork filling) and Xôi (sticky rice). This food adventure will make you feel like you're eating overseas for sure!

Vietnamese cuisine is probably my favourite cuisine of all time! (Maybe because I grew up in Cabramatta haha!) Let me know what other Vietnamese dishes you'd like for me to try 😊

Currently, 9 Yummy in Cabramatta. +1 for slightly rude service there, just like in Hong Kong lol. But the food's really good. Let me know what you think!

Bánh Cuốn was my favourite of the 3 reviewed dishes. I also love Bánh Xeo, Gỏi cuốn, Cha Gio, and Bánh Mì Xiu Mai.

Kingtom has some great Croatian restyrant .there was a Balkans restaurant in the city but I don’t think it’s there now .I think most of us eat our mums and grandmas cooking or just go to a local Croatian club lol🥰🥰

Haven't tried VN Street Foods in a while!! I love their bún chả hà nội. But I think my favourite would be at Mam Mam restaurant in Bankstown. I usually order nem rán to eat with it as well hahaha.

All look delicious. In North Sydney next to my work, there are a couple of Vietnamese places where I often have lunch, the Banh Mi place always has a queue at lunchtime. I usually go for the Bun Cha, they are really delicious, especially the vegetarian ones. Next time I will try the Bánh Cuốn

Marrickville has a malaysian muslim restaurant near the station. Try it ,its fantastic.

you must try bo la lot, grilled beef in lolot/betel leaf, amazing flavours of marinated beef which you wrap in leaves, herbs, green papaya and pickled veg, mmm, mmm, mmm 😋
I can’t forget the bo la lot I had in Danang 3 yrs ago. Where can I get a decent version here in Sydney?
Best one I've tried so far is from Hai au lang nuong in Canley Vale! But I'm sure there are other good spots too

Been to Marriville & ate the banh mi & the rice paper’s with tofu and fermented fish sauce. That was hands down yummy, I think from the same restaurant. The banh mi is ok. Best ever are in Hoi An - Vietnam. You guys are lucky in Sydney to have those restaurants cook those Northern dishes, and so value for money too. They need to open up in Melbourne. Are you Vietnamese?

They're trying to make it like what they have in the streets of Vietnam!
