Jeff - anything special about the hose material, say polyethylene glycol resistant? Are they simply hydraulic hoses made at like NAPA? I noticed the red stripe? Is that indicating anything in particular?
Its standard hydraulic hose, they are rated for multiple types of fluid. From the manufacturer: SAE 100R2 -S is a high-pressure hose that is used for petroleum or fluids having a water base. The reinforcement layer has two high tensile steel wire braids and the outer cover is abrasion, ozone, and weather resistant synthetic rubber, which is MSHA approved. Thanks Jeff. I believe that is equivalent (212F) to what I used from NAPA for mine. I replaced them about 5 years ago.
