  • The Audioengine B1 universal Bluetooth receiver lets you turn existing gear into a wireless music system so you can stream music easily from your phone or tablet. And unlike most Bluetooth devices, it offers up to 100 feet of wireless range.
    Audioengine B1: www.crutchfield.com/i-rYTVc2M...
    Got an amp, receiver, or a pair of powered speakers you love, but wish you could listen to them using Bluetooth? The Audioengine B1 Bluetooth receiver connects to anything that has an analog input. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 and its little antenna to give you up to 100 feet of Bluetooth range, so you can move about more freely as you listen.
    Audioengine ups the sound quality, too, thanks to its internal AKM4396 24-bit DAC. Android users can take advantage of aptX HD for even better streaming quality. The B1 is built to last, too, and features both analog RCA and digital TOSLINK outputs so you can connect to just about any gear.

    Best BT unit ever built. Pricey, but premium quality more than makes up for it.

      Glad you like it! What sources are you listening to via the Audioengine B1 most often?

    This is perhaps one of the best bluetooth receivers produced. It pairs great with the Audio Technica LP60XBT. Both being equipped with aptX, this kind of connection would bring out the best in any kind of speaker setup. It actually makes the Logitech Z130's sound incredible.

    Great and clear presentation. I will check the product. Can I connect more that one vintage system at the same time? or I must buy one B1 per system? Thank you.

      Thank you! You will have to use one B1 per system as it can only send signal to one system at a time.

      Yes, as I think both the RCA and optical outputs are alive at the same time.

    Thank you. My question is, which connection should i use for better audio quality, rca or optical ? And should i upgrade a better quality cable, any cable suggestions?

      @crutchfield  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! Typically, we recommend allowing the component with the stronger DAC to perform the conversion. If the bluetooth receiver has the stronger DAC, you can use RCAs and allow the conversion to take place within that unit. If the stereo receiver you are connecting it to has the stronger DAC, you can use the optical connection and allow that unit to handle the conversion. Both options can provide excellent quality with the right equipment. :-)

      @@crutchfield Thanks very much. My God, it makes my Logitech Z130's sound more like high end when connected to the B1 and pairing it to my Audio Technica LP60XBT.

    Really great product! My question is: in order to turn it on or off. Do you need to press the power button or hold it for a longer time? Can’t figure that out yet.

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is no power button on the Audioengine B1 Bluetooth adapter, it powers up and goes automatically into pairing mode when the included AC power adapter is connected. When you press and hold the pair button you can set the unit into pairing mode, indicated by the flashing light.

      @@crutchfield Thanks! So when I turn my speakers on, I just have to wait for it to turn on again? Or should i unplug it from the socket when im not using my speakers?
      Also: when I touch my B1 it sometimes gives me a small electric shock. Is there something you can do about that?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you do not want it to consume any AC power when you are not using it, then you will want to unplug it. Otherwise, it is ok to leave it plugged in, ready and waiting.
      As for the small shock when touching it, it should not be doing that. We do not have any parts that you can connect to it to fix that issue. We recommend contacting technical support to check what can be done to prevent it. If you purchased it from us, we recommend contacting our technical support for help. Their phone number can be found on the shipping label and on the order confirmation.

    Hello :) I just purchased a B1 to connect on my cambridge audio axr100 receiver (monitor audio bronze 2 speakers). My main purpose is to send Tidal Master recordings via bluetooth. In your opinion should i use the rca connection (own dac) with my OEHLBACH NF 1 Master rca cable or should i use the optical connection ? (cambridge audio dac then...). Thanks !!

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  ปีที่แล้ว

      We recommend connecting the B1 to your Cambridge Audio receiver using the RCA audio cable to use the DAC in the B1. It should have the better DAC between the two units for helping to reduce the noise and get a higher level signal-to-noise ratio.

    So these will connect to my non wireless Audioengine A5+ directly? Does it come with the required cables or will i need to source these separately?

    • @crutchfield

      The audio cable needed to connect this to the aux input on the A5+ speakers is included in the box!

      This is simply a Bluetooth receiver! What you are looking for is the B-Fi : www.crutchfield.com/I-rYTBc174/p_772BFI/Audioengine-B-Fi.html

      Nice choice on the Audioengine B1. It's still one of our best sounding options. We don't have any info on a BLT-2 for comparison at this time.

      Yes! You pair the phone's bluetooth to the B1 and then you can play music files and apps like Spotify through this to the amp and speakers connected to the amp.

    B 1 vs D 1 ?

    • @crutchfield
      @crutchfield  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Audioengine B1 is a Bluetooth receiver. The Audioengine D1 is a headphone amp with a built-in DAC.
