      I stream mostly from my Android to my Marantz 2275. I hear so much about how loosing sound. Streaming from phone and bluetooth together is a sound killer. Would this B1 make a big difference or is it a good idea to use USB-c to outboard dac to receiver.

    Bluetooth on steroids is right. Makes cheap and compact speakers sound great when streaming to it from a turntable with aptX. The Audio Technica LP60XBT is ideal for this. And you're quite right about the 2 volts RMS volume level which the RCA connections deliver from the B1. I actually find the volume level more than enough at about halfway on the Logitech Z120 powered speakers. It may sound a little wasted on inexpensive speakers like these, but I can tell you, it makes the B1's capabilites very obvious.

    Hello. I currently use a Logitech Bluetooth receiver and Chromecast Audio on my vintage receivers. I prefer the Chromecast Audio sound over the Logitech however, I find pairing my phone is better with the Bluetooth receiver. Any idea how this would compare to Chromecast, Logitech, or even the old RCA to 3.5mm cables sound wise?Thank you.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no experience with Chromecast so I could not comment on that, (I have a lot experience whit the Logitech) I will say that the B1 has a better Pre out level and is great for ease of pairing.
      I sill do wish these guys (manufactures) would step up the out put levels of their Bluetooth chipset. :)

    • @31cify
      @31cify 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@breakerbroke23 I know what you mean. The B1 solves the problem that other inferior BT receivers have with low output level. Even very inexpensive powered speakers really benefit from the B1. I have lots of proof of that, and aptX helps too.

    • @31cify
      @31cify 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wouldn't really be able to tell. But when you've got brands like Audioengine, BluDento and Ifi making their beautiful sounding premium receivers, those cheap plastic square shaped boxes pale by comparison. That's not to say they're absolute garbage, but the top dogs with proper DACs and codecs like aptX HD really are the ones you should be connecting to good sound systems.

    • @breakerbroke23
      @breakerbroke23  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The new Bluetooth 5.0 has better sound, range, easier to pair and the pre amp level is 2volts RMS and that means it will drive your receiver better than the older units did, the output level will compare to the out put level of a CD player or tape deck.
      Cheers.

    • @breakerbroke23

      The B1 sounds good on its own, your outboard DAC may or may NOT improve the sound. I use the Schitt modi and I have my B1 hooked via RCA to input 1 of my receiver and the B1 optical runs through the Schitt and goes out to the receiver input 2 via RCA.
      So I can compare A&B and I must say its a 50/50 result and it all depends on what recording iam streaming.
      Overall I very much like the B1.
