Not sure if he mentioned, but connecting by optical bypasses the b1 dac and used the receiver/process dac etc, using the rca uses the b1 dac. It sounds great, ten times better than my old bluetooth receiver, i'm using the dac in my audio processor. Yes, it's worth the 189 bucks if you have decent speakers, etc.

I was looking at the Audioengine A5+ Bluetooth but you have to manually pair every time you swap between devices. Does this do the same or once you pair multiple devices to it will you be able to swap at will or how does that work? Can it send audio from multiple sources to a single output (i.e. if I connect the B1 to my phone and my PC will it send audio from both to my speakers)?

have to say, this is a piece of poop. i've constantly had problems with it - have to disconnect, forget device, reconnect, it drops off. there's latency. everything. such a shitty piece of equipment. not worth the headache. unresponsive customer service (just like the device). never buying an audioengine product again.

What a poor review. It is like doing a review of a technology you do not understand. What a solid fail.
