  • Quick installation instructions for hooking up a Bluetooth Receiver to any Home Stereo.
Audioengine B1 Bluetooth receiver is a great way to add High Fidelity Bluetooth steaming music to ANY Home Stereo.
Note.... Modern Receivers do not have the power outlet on the rear of unit, so you will have to find 110v somewhere else. Like a power strip or wall outlet.

Oh and thank you I used your method for connecting a car stereo Bluetooth module a while back, it was very helpful. I feel I need an upgrade now!🇺🇲

Great video! Question, what if you recieve a phone call? Does the music stop and the phone call gets transmitted to the speakers? Im just thinking what if I host a party and someone calls me 😂

I have an old 70s pioneer sx 780 with a record player hooked up to it and recently got some nice new bluetooth active speakers (airpulse a300pro) But I'm not sure what I need make it all work together?

most of the new receivers don't have the power switch and unstitch on the back anymore, only the vintage ones have it
    thanks for showing this

When did you start seeing these outlets go away. A new or modern Receiver to me is like mid 2000s.
It's funny because you are the first person to call me on this
      Hahaha.
      Thanks

@@breakerbroke23 anything with HDMI does not have it, I guess late 00's and up.
Most of the newer stuff comes with bluetooth anyways so the power switch won't be needed :)

@@AudioElectronicsChicago I figured you would know about this "newer stuff" I am still stuck in the 70s. BTW... I love those Advent Speakers in your newest video.

@@breakerbroke23 Thanks, I am using mainly vintage stuff from the 70's in my household but I work with electronics and I get the new stuff all the time!

You didn't use the optical out ? Also when saying you can use tape in on your very old receiver might say what that is record in or play out. Since those connections are not labeled in the terms you used

Very helpful video thanks. I would be hooking this up to two active studio monitors which both are set to max volume (10 out of 0 - 10 switch at the back). I assume the bluetooth receiver outputs are line output or barely amplified? Is that correct? Cause I can't drive an amplified signal into the monitors. Or at least, I think so based on what I read? I'm still learning a lot about adio :')

      What Monitors are you using?

@@breakerbroke23 JBL LSR305. Currently connected to a Focusrite 2i2 with balanced cables, but no bluetooth functionality. Do you think switching to RCA will decrease the quality of my sound (not that my setup is real HiFi, but still..)? I live in city apartment, so probably do get a lot of interference.

Can you switch over to FM/AM, CD or cassette player and play music even if the B1 device is connected to the aux input? Thanks!
