Thanks for the video! I'm on the fence about getting an oversized hood scoop for my WRX and your car looks similar to mine. So now I know what it would look like and I like it. Have you had any trouble with water getting in it or any rattling?
Thank you 😁. No rattling. The 3M tape is pretty good. I've had a roof vortex generator on the car with the same tape that has been rock solid for 4 years. You'll have to reapply pressure to the tape seal the first few days to make sure it is sealed all the way around. Keep in mind that you are already getting a certain amount of water in through the factory hood scoop anyways, not a big deal in my opinion.

A lot of people feel the same and would prefer a color match. I can't argue with that. I like the contrast look of the carbon and it goes with my carbon fiber wing. Personal preference, do what makes you happy 💪

I think these scoops look bitchin'!...I'm getting a brand new 2021 WRX. Right after Christmas it will arrive at the dealership so I can take delivery...And Im almost positive this scoop will be on my list of first mods..
Those pop tabs are a nightmare to pull out.. I completely snapped one in half while trying to pull them out and broke 2 more while trying to get them back in. Consumers paying the price for big corporations profit margin.

Needs some eyes, and teeth, to make it a monster... In fact, these cars need more (evil) eye and fangs/teeth options to really bring out the inner monster. Or, just need some ww2 tiger shark overlays for the fenders.
Curious if you ever had it lift up at high speeds? I have tried different tapes and every time I hit over 100 it pops up and unsticks itself. I also don't think it actually helps with funneling the airflow because it just goes to the back the scoop because internally it doesn't funnel down to the actual size of the opening.
How is the Hood scoop holding? I had one for like 2 years and then the 3m gave up and half of the scoop raised in the air every time I driven the car. I also got so annoyed of how the 3m taped looked around the scoop. For me it looked so ugly. So I just took it off.
Only thing keeping me from this is I hear it leaks water if you don’t silicone, not trying have visible silicone on a brand new sti, have you noticed this at all?

@@brightsydebill8410 So I emailed Subispeed about this part a couple days ago and got a reply today. They said they aren't sure when it will be back in stock as there has been issues with this part but didn't specify what exactly the issues were. Either way, best to avoid one for the time being by the sounds of it.

I just searched ebay, 2015 wrx carbon fiber hood scoop, and they are on there. That's where I got mine. I heard Subispeed stopped selling them.

Get a roll of genuine 3M tape from Amazon. It'll stick for years.

My sti is the dark charcoal one, do u think its better to color match it or just like that itll blend in since my cars already dark
