I know Subispeed usually carries this hood scoop but at the moment is sold out. I hope you find one soon.

What was the situation you had with the backside (opposite side of the screws)? I'm trying to do the install now, but the back side keeps popping up leaving a huge gap.

Just ordered the same scoop! Quick question though. The product description on Subispeed says they recommend using 3M double sided tape to secure the scoop along with the screws. I would rather use weather stripping like you and not use 3m tape since I wanna be able to remove it later. Have you had any issues with vibrations or the scoop coming loose with just the screws?

Nice! IMO, I think using double sided tape to secure the scoop is no no for me. They recommend using double sided tape for secure reasons but just using the screws is plenty enough. Currently, no issues so far and no vibrations.

@@SceneFifty awesome, I feel the same way. Cool I will do the same with weather stripping then!

Just curious. I received this hood scoop the other day and haven’t installed it yet. I see the five screws that hold in the front of the scoop, but unlike the original, there’s nothing to hold the back down. Have you found this to be a problem with lifting or rattling. Btw, mine came with a grill on the back of the scoop. I guess they’re doing that now for some reason. Thanks for the video btw … it’s the only one showing the install of this scoop.

We’ve thought about that too but we’ve had no issues so far. Pretty much when you screws, it’ll become tight enough to where there should be no play. There’s no rattling ever since we installed it too. That grill part is something new I guess lol! Thanks for watching as well! I hope it helped and I hope your install works out.
