Mourinho literally won the league, Europa League, and Champions League with Porto
Ended the invincible team's dominance in the midst of Ferguson's United and European champions Liverpool. Twice on the spin. He got 95 points, 15 goals conceded, 72 scored, only 1 loss in his FIRST season. The very same ‘invincible’ team was trying to retain their title. He made the 433 more popular in England & both Wenger and Fergie switched from their famous 442’s to a 433 in the following years.
Continued to win with Inter, won the only treble in the history of Italian football in his second season, on the way he stopped arguably the best team in history in Pep’s Barcelona.
Then went to Real Madrid and stopped Barcelona again, which felt like the impossible job, and wonLa Liga with the most goals scored in a season ever.
Not mentioning bringing the prestige back in Europe forReal Madrid. They haven't progressed past the R16 in the last several seasons before he came. He reached 3consecutive CL Semi Finals and in 11-12 narrowly loston pens when Ronaldo, Kaka, and Ramos missed. It wasn't to be. Laid down the foundations for Madrid's dominance in the following years
Returned to Chelsea and won the league, then went to United and finished second, and won 3 trophies with a United backline of Young, Jones, Smalling, Darmian/Valencia. We all know the internal problems he faced and it’s clear to everyone now that he wasn’t backed.
Reached a final with Spurs that he didn’t play and at Roma he won a European trophy for the first time since 30 years for the club, and reached another Euro final a year later that he lost on pens when the referee decided Roma wouldn’t win that day.
    LEGEND of the sport

Media loves to peddle the anti-Mourinho narrative but any rational person with brain cells can see that he's been one of the best managers that's ever lived and while not at his peak, is STILL very good. Had he got the United job in 2013, the club would be very different from what it is now today.

haha you are clueless. Admit it, you never watched his Roma team did you? Yet you chat absolute wank about how he is "STILL very good". No he isn't. His Roma side were appalling to watch. He yet again took the team backwards with negative, outdated football (throwing in Matic whilst selling more dynamic midfielders as per usual). He averaged a point per game. Fell out with the creative players - again, as per usual.
You need to wake up, it isn't 2004 any more. He is a dinosaur, wouldn't get in the top 50 coaches of modern day football. He had his time at the top. Considering him a top coach in todays game just because of past achievements has about as much validity as the dopes that still think Ronaldo is a world class striker.

The biggest lesson at Roma Mourinho has learned is how to man manage this new younger generation. He needs to understand guys who grew up in the late 70s, 80s and 90s have now retired or are almost completely retired from the highest level... These kids are a different breed and it's a sink or swim culture, he has to adapt his management style to suit how this generation is.

Um, I don't know about that, especially statistics data compared to other managers, and it could be my jealousy because he was responsible for ending Arsenal's long undefeated season record, but that is my opinion (or just my silly feeling :D).

He has won so many trophies with different teams, he has proved to be one of the very top football managers ever.
People keep trying to dismiss him saying that he has been sacked so many times, but how many teams have fully supported him? Only Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real Madrid have fully supported him and he has won the lot with these teams while the other teams that have failed him have ended up sacking him!
United would have been back to its glory days had they not decided to back the players rather than Jose!

How on earth were gonna win a CL with Bayern, Madrid and Barcelona at their absolute peaks with an aging squad and mediocre players. Mou could've won you some leaves and without a doubt hone far in Europe if he got the right players. 2013 Bayern were too strong, 2014 - 2020 was the Madrid, Atletico, MSN, Juve, Bayern era.... I think we like to think Mourinho in 2013 would have been perfect...BUT we lost Gill & with Woodward he was an absolute clueless clown. We could have had SAF under Woodward & it would have been a mess.
No one could work under Woodward...he was too arrogant...prioritised commercial over the team (he even stated as much), so unfortunately Mourinho would have still struggled.
He performed a miracle to get 2nd place & win the europa with what he had to deal with.
I love Mourinho...& maybe IF in 3 years we have a settled structure aligned & a strong squad in terms of talent & character...then id give him another crack at Utd....but at this time the club is in no shape for him to work how he needs.
The other thing of critical importance if he was to someday return is whether his philosophy fits the clubs ideas & playing style - Mourinho likes to play with grit & control with strong characters who can take criticism but also strong enough to see their weaknesses & develop....if any of those ingredients are missing then his philosophy will be misaligned.
Ultimately I wish we had all the necessary structures & players to have Mourinho return....but we don't & im still not convinced we will within the next 10 years. The damage Woodward, Judge, Arnold & the Glazers have caused is almost embedded now & it will take ineos, Berrada etc years to change it to what we once had under SAF.
I also support ETH but he is in a similar position to Mourinho...he has no structures behind him & certainly not a strong enough squad...so he is having to go game by game & we can never achieve anything if we don't have competence, character & talent at every level.
Sadly as much as i like ETH he like Mourinho is at Utd at the wrong time...& i very much doubt Ineos will start their reign with him leading us for the next 3-5 years....sadly i believe ineos will replace ETH with a new manager in the summer particularly if we dont make top 4.
IF we make top 4 they may give him 1 more season max.
