Waiting for the Sun

  • On my journey to where I planned to record, I passed Knockhill before sunrise. The clouds felt close enough to touch, so I had to stop and set up the camera to try and capture the Sunrise.
For a while I thought it would be clouded out but there was always a slim sliver of light breaking through on the horizon. As quick as it took to clear the trees, it was hidden again by the clouds.
The footage was captured over 55mins then edited together and most clips are at 10x speed (250fps). I didn't capture the audio at the same time, as I was at the side of the road and it was raining.
I was happy with the footage but had no sound! So I captured it separately this morning in a spot that I knew would give me something worth using. I hope you enjoy it.
Field recordings made with my Clippy EM 272's and the Zoom F8n.

    Great recording and video!
I think your recordings are among the most beautiful to be found on youtube.
I thought about buying a Audio Technica bp4025 , but I keep coming back for the lovely detail and fantastic stereo image of the Clippys in your recordings. So I might purchase a matched pair with a Rode mount.
    Thank you!

Awesome recording of the wind! I find it a difficult subject to get good recordings of. Beautiful video as well!

Thank you very much! I just wanted it capture the wind so it clipped a bit to show the strength, but not to much to destroy the listening.
