That means no man-made noise. Compared to my hometown, that's almost heavenly. In this place you are about 1500 meters away from any road. No wind, 5° Celsius, foggy, mid-February, Sorbian region, time for the service...
Enjoying the stillness is very soothing. My stomach is growling - but I'm standing 20 meters away from the microphones. The birds nearby are relatively quiet for the first few minutes - but then dare to eat and bleat again in the surrounding trees.
In the pond area one begins to let in water. Large air bubbles come up at regular intervals at the inlet point.
DIESE STILLE
Das heißt, kein von Menschen gemachter Lärm. Gegenüber meiner Heimatstadt ist das fast schon himmlisch. An diesem Ort ist man ca. 1500 Meter von jeglicher Straße entfernt. Kein Wind, 5° Celsius, Neblig, Mitte Februar, sorbische Gegend, Zeit für den Gottesdienst …
Die Stille zu genießen, ist sehr beruhigend. Mein Magen knurrt - ich stehe aber 20 Meter von den Mikrofonen entfernt. Die Vögel in der Nähe sind die ersten Minuten relativ still - trauen sich dann aber in den umliegenden Bäumen wieder zu fressen und zu meckern.
Im Teichgebiet fängt man an, Wasser einzulassen. An der Einlassstelle kommen in regelmäßigen Abständen große Luftblasen hoch.

The backpack is a Lowepro Flipside Trek BP 450 AW. In my last video I show an advantage for field recording towards the end. I have the backpack because a camera with a telephoto lens has to fit in it and a tripod can also be attached to the outside. If you only do field recording, a smaller backpack is sufficient.
