"The trackpad just stopped working. That's not a good sign" and then the lad proceeds as usual. I tell you... he is so used to things breaking down during the filming of these videos.
One thing ANYONE should know when dealing with Optical Drives is that If you run a disc at full speed for 30 minutes to an hour, you'll run into an issue where the heat buildup inside the drive will cause condensation on the lens unit. This can cause a good working drive to 'act' as If It's faulty, but If you turn it off and leave it for a few hours, It'll return to good working order. Not sure If that was the cause of your drive specifically Druaga but I just thought it would be wise to mention. Not just that, discs can introduce dust into the unit and that can also cause it to fail. They're fickle things.
@@AngelaTheSephira I think he's talking about is 1: the drive when closed is semi-sealed. 2: the temperature rising _could_ cause the dew-point inside the drive to rise, and if it rises fast enough, then the dew point could rise above the temperature of the lens, thus condensate forms on the lens, and even if a tiny amount forms, it could cause the light to refract oddly. Though in my adventures burning full-to-the-brim DVD+RWs, I've never had a problem with my drive suddenly failing.
@@loganiushere the odds of this are like 1% unless you live right next to the ocean like literally within one 1 mile/1.6 kilometres and i live 5 miles from Lake Erie and never had this problem though i had the laser die due to cheap build quality or they just used crap lasers or just old age.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a way to get back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I would love any tips you can offer me
@Jaxen Karter thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I don't get tired of you installing SSD's in computers. You have lots of variety in your SSD installs. I had a laptop just like this one in this video and I always wanted to put a SSD in it to speed it up as it was very low performance. But I could not expect a lot from my laptop like the one in this video as the laptop was a budget low end model.
Druaga you are literally my favorite computer channel ever, idk how anyone could say anything you do is getting old, I could watch you eat a ham sandwich and still be entertained :3
Drauga1, There is a reason why I continue to tune in to your channel. It's not to watch you complete your quest to put an Ssd into every electronic component on earth, no. It's because I genuinely like your videos. You can do whatever the hell you want :D -James
That's actually pretty cheap for an SSD. Only $240 for a 1TB Samsung 840 Evo on Amazon. The price will continue to drop. But it's pretty low as it is already.
But still, the only downside with them is that they have a limited read and write cycle, and data recovery will be extremely difficult. Yet they are much faster than the HDD, and don't have mechanical parts.
Raul You're correct, but an SSD will still last you at least a few or more years while an HDD will have slowed down quite a bit in that time. Data recovery is extremely difficult if not impossible as you said.
Vuzin yeah, that's in the USA. Computer parts are the cheapest there. In the UK, you're looking at $244 but it includes tax. Also, hard drives don't really slow down over time, if you maintain them properly and defrag them, they can maintain the same performance throughout their lifespan.
Heh, that could actually work. You just get a ever drive or some other flash loader, get a microSD to Sata if it exists. Then you can sellotape a SSD to the back.

Hello there Druaga1 and greetings from Germany. I love your videos! They are very creative and entertaining. Really liked the long Windows 2 series. Maybe Try something even older? Some C64 oder Spectrum maybe? Would also love some more Mac 512k or similar. Keep the awsome coming
I've been watching Druaga1's vids for quite a while. Seems he A) likes to put an SSD into anything, and B) has awesome reactions when things don't quite work out as planned. :P Thumbs up Druaga1 :)
I got a steak ad while I wasn't watching my screen, and for the first couple seconds it was just sizzling and crackling so I was like "OH SHIT! WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY NEW HEADPHONES??!!!!!". I believe it was Apple bees. I shall not go to Apple bees now.
Once upon a time there was an angel who is still alive as of today, the man with SSD wings and it's best known as Druaga1 the absolute angel and king of SSD's :3
I have a variant of this model laptop and noticed yours is having the fan revving up a lot. I believe you need to take it apart and clean out the fan. It's fairly easy to do.
Why do you always want to copy the source disk to an image to then write the image to the target disk? Just clone directly the source to the destination directly godmnit.
Darameekha Handsome Good luck with that, you need a Fatty PS2 with FMCB software on MC0, and have the SSD act like a PATA HDD with a SSD converter to PATA essentially.
Darameekha Handsome Already ahead of ya, I got a ps2 sata hard drive connector from China that has no network capabilities but built in support for it and let me tell ya, the only difference it makes over a mechanical is it makes no noise or heat
Install a SSD into a VHS recording camera!!!! It's actually possible! You can take out the VHS writing components, and then you get lots of empty space to work with. Then you can feed the AV output into a the place where the VHS writing stuff was, and get a AV video recorder, which will record to an attached USB storage device, which you can attach a sata to USB thing into, and put a SSD into that.
Nothing boring about your videos! You're a funny dude, and that is what makes the videos. SSD the crap out of whatever you can think of and they will come.

man that scene at the start tho.

How do I install SSD in my classic Gameboy?
You'll need a pretty small one. Maybe a Micro-SD card would work. Then you'll have no boot times and save times.
it's like he had boot times or save times before...
It's a joke
Heh, that could actually work. You just get a ever drive or some other flash loader, get a microSD to Sata if it exists. Then you can sellotape a SSD to the back.
to be fair cartridges ARE ssd's, just read only :p

druaga do you need a hug
JSN Gaming A solid state hug
I love how you always make a simple 10minute task take sooo long I get so much enjoyment from it
He can always make the easiest things look like the most difficult thing ever. I cloned to an SSD with Macrium Reflect and it was super easy.
When you threw the rusty CD/DVD optical drive down and it hit your CD, you reaction was hilarious. Lol
There is no boring Druaga1 videos, even if there were a 10 hour video it would be fantastic to watch.

I yawned, so i guess your video did the trick :P this type of content is DEFINITELY not your typical "DIY" stuff. I like it!
Next time he should install a computer into an SSD.
no ssd is ever boring
SSD in an OG Xbox using IDE to Sata adapters is it possible?
JH ZR if you clone the hard drive on to the ssd, the OG Xbox runs a version of Windows CE as a backend
JH ZR SSD into a Dreamcast would be even more impressive 😏
And then install Linux on the Xbox SSD.
Dylan Collins You can install SD card into dreamcast to act as a flash cart. Not easy, not hard. No point in using a Ssd even if it it would fit.
Sean Metivier Exactly, useless. An SSD in an Xbox using an IDE adapter would be really cool if possible. And a good video to watch.
I love your videos, greatest TH-camr ever! :D
You are the best bro Keep up the good work #SMOKETHATJOINT :)
Its bad when your player defaults to 144p on a Druaga1 video (and I have a Presario CQ61)

love the ssd formula
Oh. Druaga is having an existential crisis. Hoo boy.
woah I have that same laptop except it's an HP 17.3 G72 :D and I upgraded to an SSD not too long ago. It also has heat issues as well. It drove me nuts so I cut the bottom fan grill and made a large gaping hole on the bottom.
You should make more revisit videos!
Congrats on 60k!
Omg cq62 is my most used computer 😍 why didn't I watch your video before
I have the CQ62-240SF. With HP tools, games... and other crap. I bricked my preinstalled Windows 7 by misinstalling a "Windows 8 theme" which had to patch LogonUI and explorer.exe 😭 it happened after I installed Ubuntu on a 25 Go Wubi (virtual disk), to try it. I had to use it for 2 years before getting a new machine. It had bad sectors for a long time, so partition tools would not touch the drive. I had to overwrite the sector with zeroes using a command line tool on a parted magic cd... Now I formatted it and it's a decent Ubuntu Server... small Server because I broke the speaker cable by dismounting this PC. Long story...
Oh, the CQ62-240SF is even better because it has an Intel Pentium T4500, and Intel integrated graphics, and 4 GB of RAM, and 500 GB seagate hard drive, and a lightscribe labeller CD burner (I used the labeller feature once. Need more like this where you install ssd in an older laptop/pc, even newer whould be nice =D
