Thank you very much for the great video. I have a Blackstar HT20 combo, and I'm completely new to the GT1000 world, which I purchased recently. Blackstar is not listed in the "main output select" section. Which of the options that GT1000 has you suggest me to use for my amp? I really appreciate your input. Greetings.
Finally,, thank you for this Awesome Video Tutorial, but i wonder. what if my amp doesn't have a trs input for footswitch. i use MT100 bttw. thanks again
I am seriously looking at the gt-1000 at the moment. As far as 4 cable method goes, will this work well with most amps that have an effects loop or will some work better than others? I am looking to pair with either my Marshall Origin 20, or picking up something new to use with it. Either a Laney Lionheart Foundry Super 60, or Boss Katana. Liking the idea of the Laney, because that would be me a unique preamp I can use.
hey dave i have a question i just got a tone x one pedal to use as pre amp and wanna use the boss gt 1000 just the multi effects and have also a power amp what would be the best way to connect tank you.
Setting up my EVH Stealth with the GT 1k core in 4cm.. Attempting to find unity gain level (using my daw through the attenuator). Plugged directly into the amp i leveled it out at a perfect -12db. When I introduced the GT into the signal in 4cm with zero effects blocks engaged (except for the send /return block). My levels are spiking above +10.. It sounds horrible. I have the sends and returns set to 100 but lowered them to 20 on each side which still clips but sounds even worse with cut outs and signal drops. What am I missing?
Awesome vídeo! The Silver Jub sounds fuckin' awesome! Does the Gt-1000 has any amp that can sound near close to the real amp? Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Can you branch off inside the gt1000 with your real tube amp sound and effects to an ir into front of house while still using your real cab?. So you can do FOH and real amp and cab with all the same effects simultaneously
I thought you were going to plug that 5th cable into the Fx loops send 2 to send to the input of a second amp. If you did that and this it would be 6 cable method 😊
I want to love the GT1k Core. I love its features, but have had horrible issues with noise and degradation of signal using it in 4cm with my EVH Stealth. As soon as I engage the loops it gets a loud high pitched whine and terrible noise added to the signal. It isn't gound loop. It doesn't happen if I run direct from the core's output into the front of the am- only with the loops engaged. Built in noise gates don't help. Odd thing is if I add a mastering fx block (only works on the rock setting) then all that noise disappears. I gooogled the problem and I'm not the only one - the forums were filled with people with the same issue. I want to love it but if I can't figure out and fix the issue
Hey man. Sorry to hear you’re having issues. Without actually looking and seeing what’s going on it’s hard to tell, but I’ll throw a few suggestions at you. - Do you have the cab sim turned off? Do this by going to the output and change from ‘Recording’ to an appropriate option. - Adjust the output level in settings. - Check the amp block is turned off. I have a GTCore as well. I’ll try mine in 4CM over the next few days and see if I can find out what’s happening. 🤘🏼
@@DaveWebbMusic awesome Dave, thanks for responding. I am set to recording, speaker sim disabled. Output level is -10 and amp block disabled.. with all blocks off in a patch I have no problems.. if I add an FX loop I get what sounds like feedback and noise and an 8db volume increase. The thing that is really odd is the mastering fx block set to rock corrects most of it except a slightly noticable degradation of the overall sound. I took some videos. I'll try and upload to TH-cam this weekend. I'm advanced, do rig builds, make my own cabling and never had such an odd issue which seems specific to the core.. which I would absolutely love and embrace in every way not for this issue. If you Google the issue it's been common for at least the last 4 years with many in the tech forums. Surprised there hasn't been a yt video about it and possibly a fix. .. Keep rocking.. you do awesome content.
@seanmichael8411 ok, so you don’t want it set to recording. You need it set to one of the other amp/cab combos. I reckon that’s going to be the fix for you. Thanks for the kind words, glad you’re enjoying the vids. As I said, I’ll still plug in and have a look. Let me know how you go!
@@DaveWebbMusic I really do appreciate you taking time out of your day to help me out. I spent hours with the device today trying to get it all dialed in. I switched to tube stack 412return, combo 212 return, even tried an 412 input option - always have the aird cabs disabled but still no luck. Tried new cabling, lifting the ground, the loops are just real noisy- They create a horrible hum and feedback. The EVH doesn't have a master volume (only preamp volumes) so I have to control the master from the core. So the signal going into the return from the core is always maxed out - wondering if that has something to do with it. Wondering if it would play better with an amp with master volume control. And still the mastering fx block removes most of the noise but only when set to "rock", but the limiter / compressor that is in that block chokes out the signal.
Hi Dave, how are u? Please consider changing the name of this video, I put gt1000 in TH-cam search and couldn't find it because of the symbol - It is likely that other users will not be able to do it either and you will have fewer views. I'm no expert, but I wanted to share what happened to me and maybe it will be useful to you. Maybe adding gt1000 without the script is enough 😊
Hey mate. You obviously did find the video, so that’s good. I will add BOSS, good call! The dash is in most of my titles, & loads of other peoples & it doesn’t affect my searches. Cheers for the feedback. Hope you’re enjoying the content.
I absolutely love my GT-1000
Super helpful! Was able to use the 5CM on my Rockerverb and now I'm off to the races. Thanks Dave!
Helped me loads brother. Thank you 👌
Yeahhhh, thats the vídeo i asked! Thanks! Im working but i will watch it when i can and i will comment. Thank you so mutch!
Cheers from Portugal 🤘🍺🇵🇹
Awesome vid mate!! Will have to grab cable and get you to show me how to set up with TAE!!
great video mate I've been wanting to try 5CM for a while now but just didn't know how to start.

Could you use your amp as a power amp by just plugging the output of the gt1000 into the return loop? Would you need to change anything doing that?
Even though I have a core :) I have a Tera echo plugged into its loop :) it’s one of those pedals that’s good to have instant hands on
4Cm is my go to since my head is a cheap crate and only use its power section. All my sounds are the GT-1000
But this is great info!!!
Excellent!!

Really cool vid dude ... except my brain hurts ... 🤘😎 Rock on Dude !!
Haha I know the feeling.
nice vid i wish somebody would do this with the gx 100....

If an amp has an fx loop, you’re good to go. 🤘🏼
hey, I just bought the Laney IDT (ironheart dualtop) and the the GT 1000 too. how's your setup going? could you offer some tips?
@@scusemewhileiwhipoutI ended up getting the gx100 - super happy with it. Don’t have an amp for it yet, been using the Beyerdynamics instead.

Have been watching your videos lately as I have the 1000Core. Currently trying to incorporate this with my BF Super Reverb, but it has no effects loop

With a bit of tweaking you’d come close.
Personally I like the X-Mod Amp, but also the Brit Stack or the Supreme amps could do the trick.

You can. You could set up a rig in 4 cable, while have a second out with IRs.

Hey. Any idea what to do for amp ctrl for a fender supersonic combo? The footswitch is 4 way and is 7 pin.

How to use on a dsl40cr? There are 2 channels. And every channel have 2 settings. Thanks in advance.
Awsome 👍🎼🎶🎸
Can i set the main output to "OFF"? What happens then?
Nowadays guitar stuff has become so complicated that being a guitarist alone is not sufficient enough. You have to be a digital scientist as well.
Not at all. Guitar can be as simple or "complicated" as you want.
