      Hey, great Job! I know another female guitarist that should be on a female G3 with Nita - It's Chelsea Constable. Check this out! th-cam.com/video/yK3EN48sCBc/w-d-xo.html Chelsea Constable has to be the most versatile female guitarist around/ Django, bluegrass, chicken picking and shred. Also, check out her original song with Paul Gilbert... th-cam.com/video/StPrhjfUfmU/w-d-xo.html

      @@Music_is_fun I have peavey ultra plus 120 watt head with a 2×12 and a 4×12 peavey cabinet. Know what I play through 85% of the time? A line 6 spider V 60 watt practice amp I got cheap or nothing at all. Being I'm currently not in a band right now. That's what I did dialed in a sound I liked. If I wanted a jcm 800 sound I would go to reverb and find a jcm 800. If someone criticizes or complains I just ask "when did I ask for your opinion?". I mean we are jamming in your garage I'm going to haul a stack across town to please you,...... not. Funny thing they usually complain I'm playing to loud with my 60 watt 1×12 line shit amp. Truth is I know how to dial in a tone that cuts through the mix but you know.

      Exactly. When i had a line 6 pedalboard i always went to almost the same amps i thought sounded good and just tweaked them to sound more metal or classic rock instead of going like "oh i need to dial a jcm800 model with this cab to play this iron maiden song..."

There's so much customization you can do with it. For instance, you can turn off the reverb, turn on the delay, turn on the EQ, turn on the lead boost, and turn on the WAH pedal all with a single button press. Pressing the button again returns you to where you started.

I can radically alter my sound instantly. Of course, I've had a lot of people react with confusion and ridicule because of decades of being sold the "proper" way to do things, which is really mostly image.

    • @uragonertoo1335
      @uragonertoo1335 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah , its about the effects. However there are so many levels of eq that along with the reverb, distortion and delay , you can almost dial in any amp sound. Boss processors seem to be heavily under rated , but they are powerful units if you take the time to learn how to program them. Plenty of parameters to adjust and plenty of effects. I have a stereo rig and it rocks.

    The great thing about using a unit like that is if it fails and that's a huge if BTW you can get one at any local shop and continue on with the tour. When you are talking tours a unit like that is inexpensive enough to have a spare pre programed and ready to swap out in less than a minute.

    • @toby1kenobe
      @toby1kenobe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They also take a sim card with the presets on, they can get a spare locally and get presets from the sim card

    • @saschaschneider6355
      @saschaschneider6355 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The downside is that if you can't get a unit locally your whole board, amp, cab is gone and you can't borrow eg just a spare tubescreamer from another guitarist as a temporary replacement until you've got a new unit. And you can't drop in a multi fx unit from a different vendor if you don't happen to have your setup in a format that's compatible with that device, too. Not saying that I'm against using this stuff, on the contrary, I'm more inclined to get the Axe FX, Boss GT1000 or similar stuff than I'm inclined to amass a huge gear collection, but it does have its drawbacks

    Great video and cool tones from Nita who always kicks ass. Also goes to show that somebody who KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING can make Boss GT's sound great. Too often people say these units "suck" because they dont know how to use them properly.
    Another great point by Nita: she goes by what sounds good to HER EARS. (not by comparing it to an actual amp) I still use my old GT8, and i think of the amp models as preset gain and tone/eq reference points. (like using different stompbox overdrive and distortion units.)
