That E3600 is a new model from Pecron. You must have just got it recently. I've had their E2000LFP for about a year now and have been quite happy with it. Glad you're safe and your home is still intact.
How are you planning on recharging it? Tripped the breaker? Wow, guess the surge on that AC is pretty big. Finished the video, and heard you had a genny, Be safe over there, I got the west side over here in the panhandle
It is difficult too recharge it when the power is out, but it's a good thing too have when it it's an emergency and just hope that the government would fix it quickly as possible. But if he have he could be using solar panels when it's a sunny day. Ecoflow has smart generator there you can fill up propan with it, but in emergency like that it is nice too have just too survive some few extra hour or even days without need too worry about it. Personally i would priority the refrigerator too keep the food in good quality and would also be working with the neighbors about it if they have some food so they could be working together about it (but just for the food and only emergency phone calls if possible). And at time-to-time could recharge the phone if the phone grid are still working and some aa and aaa batteries for playing with the gameboy. All of the other things i would consider as luxus during a crisis because you would never know how long it take the government too fix the issue with the electricity. AC, anything like that i mean if i'm cold then i would bring everything i had and if i'm warm, then take of all of the clothes. I dont see the necussary with all of the things he was using because it will be spending alot of electricity. And if he don't have any other plans then waiting for the government too fix the grid, then i would be spending absolutely minimum with electricity.
Nice! I have a similar setup with Ecoflow. Have 2 suggestions. Get a Midea inverter AC. They are awesome and use inverter technology. Second suggestion is to get a 12v to 48vdc converter. I use my car for this and get 720W coming in as faux solar to my Delta Pro. It's a covert way to charge when I don't want to run my 3000w inverter generator to mass charge.
Thanks! I was going to get the Midea AC but it was out of stock when I needed and AC a while back. I also purchased the Pecron 12 to 48VDC converter and have it installed in my 2022 Ford Maverick. I'll have a set of MC4 outlets in the bed as well as near the hitch so I can charge as I tow my camper. I also have plans to max out the solar with a semi-portable setup.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Subscribed for updates. I’ve been doing some testing myself, and the amount of power my meter is telling me vs advertised capacity is quite different. I’m getting to zero percent on about 2200 watts. Is this normal?
Wont power it long at all with the ac running. Also how are you going to charge it when the power runs out unless you have a decent wattage solar set up?? You are way better off with a good gas invertor generator. Will run higher loads and just refill. With solar generator it can take hours to recharge and only if you have sun if the power is still out. Good Idea to have both kinds on hand.
I just 2 of these exact units. 0-100 charge in about 3.5 hours. Our power outage here in Reno are typically because of a wild fire or a snow storm and typically the outages only affect certain parts of town. When my Perron hits zero I am planning to take it to a part of town(friends house or business) and charge up the Perron and bring it back home assuming and plug back in my refrigerator, etc assuming the power outage is still happening.
Just Curious, how long did recharge take? I like the idea of not listening to the generator the whole time. And i am more than sure my clunky old 5KW basic generator is wasting gasoline when only pulling small loads. Im not going to dive into the whole entropy of fuel conversation and say i just like a few quiet hours. :)
It can recharge from 30% to 100% in about 45 minutes using the 30 amp plug at a 100% charge rate. I will be making a video on charging using my Westinghouse iGen 4500DF generator. I have about a 24 hour run time with the E3600LFP on the Refrigerator, Freezer, weather station, and Starlink without charging it. Depending on your load, you should be able easily to get over 8 hours of quiet time!
=Ordered this unit for Pecron a week ago and not yet shipped. Pecron said shipping label created 6 days ago but FedEx has not received unit to ship. Pecron is blaming delay on FedEx which is bullshit. Pecron customer service is crap. No longer sure I wish to expand this system, that is if I ever receive my 3600.
I had a similar issue with my order. The E3600LFP actually shipped about 2 weeks after the shipment notification was received. I had a the same issue when they shipped all 4 of my expansion batteries.
Oh my goodness, look at the cables running everywhere, look how much it can run, impressive, not really. Keep pushing the loads, and that high frequency chipset is gonna fry, as they all do. Bluetti, Ecoflow, there all the same, cheaply made high frequency chinese crap. Solar generators are great, low frequency is transformer based units, real power proven day in and day out, yrs on end, and they are repairable, unlike the chinese junk, when they break, and they will, they are put in the trash, money straight lost. So I'm not really impressed, but glad it got you through. Titans, from Point Zero Energy, the only portable low frequency solar generators on the market. Proven 24 hrs a day non stop for over 5 yrs straight and still trucking. Piss poor planning leads to cables running everywhere. Good pre-planning, 1 cable will supply the whole house. JM2C
@butterless96 I have one, actually I have 2 Titans and 15kw in batteries, 5 kw solar on my roof, a 5500w continuous gas generator, and enough sense to know how to use them, don't hate on me for the truth, sometimes the truth hurts, but it's still the truth. The only truth I'm hearing from your comment is,don't tell the truth,it might hurt a snowflakes feelings
@truthhurts2149 As Will Prouse the solar guru said you can not build a unit that is equal to this for the same price. And minutemanprep has been running this unit 24hrs a day for almost 5yrs straight without a problem, that's pulling a full 2000w solar in everyday and discharging it daily. It's the only unit I know that can utilize any chemical battery, ie, lead acid, gel, and or lithium from any manufacturer. Knowledge is power, power is low frequency, transformer based just like the world's grid, but you can waste your money however you see fit. Bye 3 for the price of 1, and the 1 will still be running when those 3 are dead
@@dustydawson8977 sure you can..I can go price the components right now for way cheaper than their base unit with no batteries. I see you put your faith in what a TH-camr said vs going to verify for yourself...

Thanks for the comments on the Pecron. Seeing feedback on how they perform in Real life situations is good. info. Hopefully you get power back soon.
Great video. People should learn from it and work on their own situation.

You should consider putting a (soft start) in your a/c

@hickshomestead113 Outstanding! I purchased the Pecron also. Going to tap into another car if necessary.
Do you have to worry about generator thieves for the outside gas one?
No, I live in a rural area and my gate is locked when I'm not home. I also have good neighbors that keep an eye on things while I am at work or away.
Any further updates?
I will be making and posting a follow up video today!
Awesome ❤

I haven't done a full discharge test yet. I haven't gone below 30% yet. Other than the shock hazard and the noises everything is going as advertised.

He mentioned in the vid that he has a gas generator outside.
@robertdaone I have 2 generators. A Westinghouse iGen 4500 DF and a Troy-Bilt 6250. I'm just testing the Pecron and getting data points.

How much did you pay for that zero point? Can build your own at that point and get three units for what they are charging for 1
