    Story :-
OP (36F) is a primary school teacher at her local school. Her mother died in a hit-and-run accident when OP was 7. Her father abandoned her after the incident. Her paternal uncle and his wife raised OP. OP now lives with her husband (39M) and son (3M).
A couple of years ago when OP and her husband had just returned from their honeymoon, the couple paid a visit to OP’s uncle and aunt who raised her, for a family dinner. Op’s real father (65M) had shown up after years. He congratulated the newly married couple but was unapologetic about abandoning OP. He feels OP should understand his reaction to his wife’s death and let it go. He mentioned that he had remarried twice and now he lived with his third wife (41F). A month after the family dinner, OP’s father suffered a heart attack and needed money for coronary artery bypass surgery. He had a very unhealthy lifestyle and didn’t have insurance either. His wife reached out to OP and begged for money. OP used her emergency fund to give them half of the amount they needed. OP’s husband wasn’t very happy about it as OP was pregnant.
Now, Op’s husband needed a tumor removed. Owing to illness OP’s husband had to take a break from work which was unpaid. OP managed household expenses. OP asked her father for the money back since he had a shop that was doing good. OP explained that since she had provided money for his surgery even though she barely knew him he should return the favor. OP’s father refused to help saying he was old and needed money for his “old age”. Furthermore, he said that he wasn’t the one who asked, his wife did. OP’s husband had to take a medical loan and OP regretted spending her emergency funds.
Twist: OP’s father owned a DIY supplies shop through which he was laundering money. His wife was oblivious to this and therefore asked for help, but they were actually well-to-do. OP’s father cheated his friend, Howard (61M) for money. He was aware of the situation and contacted OP to expose him. OP and Howard wanted revenge. Howard provided OP with evidence. OP blackmailed her father without revealing Howard contacted her. OP’s father gave her twice the amount of money she needed.
In further updates: after receiving the money OP anonymously tipped the authorities anyways. He got arrested.

Mr Reddito, what I've noticed in most of these stories is that the people seem to lack common sense. The overall thing is that they need to vent which is fine, but the underlying question is they are looking for validation for aiding the toxic people in their lives. I mean it's common sense to me that if your father abused you, and neglected you, why would you even contemplate giving when you know they don't care about you. I'd pray for them but nowhere in the bible does it say lay down and tell them to abuse me some more. You've dug yourself out of the mess they left you in, are you really trying to show them that you matter. Those family members that push you towards helping them don't get it, that's why God gave each of us a separate and complete brain. When you say no, mean it.

Then I had a bilateral mastectomy with axillary node biopsy. And if all that hasn't killed me, I have to do 26 radiation treatments and permanently wear an arm compression device. I had the most wonderful friends and family, but it was during this time I went back to my Christian roots. God has left me here for a reason, maybe make sure my daughter is taken care of and my dogs. I'm really trying to not judge anyone like I did before, because it just makes me miserable. I mean everyone is human, and it seems that all humans are flawed because no one is a clone. If we as humans are flawed how then can we as humans sit in judgement of one another. I understand that we have societal norms, but each is an individual and react individually to certain situations that occur in life. Yes I expect teachers and others to be special but I also see them as flawed humans. The degree of flaws is the question. Am I right?

@@HauggyfulNO, she proved herself HUMAN, and even the best of humans are capable, when pushed far enough, of doing unsavory things. I don't fault her at all.
