    ABOUT ME + SLEEPY SANTOSHA
Hi! My name is Rachel. I am the creator of Sleepy Santosha. I am a certified yoga instructor who specializes in yoga for chronic illness. Although I hold two teaching certifications, the classes I teach are largely inspired by my own firsthand experiences with chronic illness and my personal yoga practice.
Because I know what it is like to live with chronic illness, I am able to create yoga classes that intuitively support the needs of someone who is experiencing chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, etc. and many of my classes can be practiced in bed. If the practice in this video didn't suit your needs, be sure to check out the other yoga classes on my channel. I try to provide a variety of intensity levels.

    I just wanted to say
you've given me great comfort in a super weird time. I'm 22 years old with rheumatoid arthritis, and have had it since the age of 17. In the beginning, it used to be incredibly painful, to the point I had to bare a cane, but eventually, I found peace and relief through different methods, so much so that I swore I was in remission for some years. It was blissful. However, right now, due to stress and other factors, I've had to succumb to a terrible flare-up and haven't had full, painless mobility in about a month. Couldn't walk or do much, really. I've been slowly recovering and have been missing my usual yoga and meditative practices because my body just couldn't handle my normal poses yet. It's not only left my body uncomfortable but also my soul. I struggled to feel "normal." My equilibrium had vanished. But I awoke this morning, and decided to dig for some gentle yoga for chronic pain, and I came across this video. Let me say, I haven't felt that much relief in weeks. Thank you thank you thank you. I will be returning to your channel often!

I can't do much of this because of leg surgery, I'm unable to kneel or put my knee to the floor - what a shame - this looks so comfortable!

Aw! Maybe after you’re fully recovered! Until then, you could try doing this MFR practice seated in a chair: th-cam.com/video/4lLUcMwa_y8/w-d-xo.html

@@SantoshaSpirit I don't think my leg will improve much - there's loads of metal plates, nails, etc in there which will stay because they had to rebuild my leg. Thanks so much for replying -= I'll go and have a look now xxxx
