- Update!! I have seen many comments about them having new wifi and not being able to do this method. I have also had some with fixes they did sorta using my method. The way I have seen used most often is using a USB Keyboard and doing the same procedure but with that. Please try this if the app does not work. I have not verified this but have heard from many that it does!! Good luck, thanks for watching and hope it fixes so you can all keep on gaming!!

Thank you so much for this. Similar situation when I synced my controlled to a different device and then it would not connect to the original. Like you, I tried every method I could find via the internet and this was the only fix that actually worked. Thank you again. You've saved me from additional hours of searching and frustration.

6 hours. 6 hours of my day was spent trying to get my ps4 controllers to work. Bought a new cord, bought a new house, I even bought a new monkey, nothing worked. This did in 5 seconds with 0 issues. Thank you random guy on youtube!

Instead of using the PS Remote App, I connected my USB Keyboard, applied the necessary steps shown in the video and viola, it works! I was sooo close to slam dunking my controller into the concrete out of frustration. Thank you!

How do you get past the press the ps button screen with the keyboard?
@@ru8ix715 You turn the console on with the Power Button on the console while the keyboard is plugged in, dont use the controller to turn it on.

When I downloaded the app it says I need to go to setting and do the code but I can’t because my controller doesn’t work. When I put it on charge it charges but it doesn’t turn on it just blinks I have tried everything please can anyone help me
I didn't get a code request or anything when I setup the app so thats weird...!
I fixed it all I did was got a new charger and it worked

What if you have never connected it via remote play? I cant get it to work because i have to get a number from ps4 settings to go into the app
When I did it, I never setup remote play, that is why I wasn't sure that would work either... What number are you getting? When I did it, I don't remember a number but I had to make sure I was on the same wifi or internet signal and it originally took a bit to find the Playstation so I just left my phone on trying to sync until it finally did...

Normally never do reviews for TH-cam videos!!! But you knocked it out of the park! I had a old PlayStation and could not get any controller to sync. Deleted all old controllers and blam!! Synced just great! Now works fine.

Worked great I did the same thing as you but with my iPad and I put the ps4 in one of the spare rooms hooked to a tv and couldn’t get that controller to work until I stumbled upon this video

FORGET the other videos with the USB connection stuff and the reset button on the controller, THIS IS THE WAY. Had been using my only controller on my PC with ds4 windows and this was the only way to reconnect it to my ps4. Thank you!

I just had this problem. Bought a brand new Controller from Target and it wasn’t working. Tried several different cables and no luck so I went back to Target to buy a new usb charging cable for strictly PlayStation and it finally connected. 🎉the usb cable is right near the ps4 controllers.
Omg I've been 3 days with my son trying to figure out why his controller wouldn't work bought a new one and same thing! This video saved the day .. and well now my son has 2 controllers lol
