If you have remote play set up, you can follow the steps of my video using a phone or tablet as a controller. Or you could connect a keyboard and follow the steps of my vid that way (according to @Raccoon, "X is enter, Esc is O and F3 is the options button." Otherwise, you will need to grab every micro USB cable you can find and plug each one to your controller and press the PS button. Not all cords work. Most cables are only designed to charge - the cable you use has to be able to charge AND do quick data transfer. Also, you may have the right cable, but the connector might be loose. If none of your cords work, you'll probably need to buy a new one - preferably the PS official cable which is about 10 dollars on Amazon and Gamestop.

This worked for me as well, thanks so so much. Another tip for you guys: If you don t have another controller, you can plug-in a keyboard in the PS4 and it will work fine. The ,,options menu” button is the F3 on the keyboard.

It works normally. Use old controller, goto settings, go into Bluetooth devices, wait 60 seconds & scroll to bottom of devices list you'll see dualshock at very bottom. Everyone misses that, they never scroll to the fucking bottom of page do they assume there's a problem when there is none. I just paired my new controller with 40 seconds of removing it from box. Nobody ever scrolls down to the bottom of list of Bluetooth devices where the new controller is when it's plugged in. Hold ps & share button and then hit enter with old controller. Done.

Just to let you know (and if it helps anyone) : I didn't have another controller neither the possibility to have a new one, so what i did is get Remote Play for my phone and connect it to the controller (like the golden one), already have the PS4 connected to the same network as in my phone through Ethernet cable and voalá! Automatically, I got my phone as a controller in Remote Play!! I did everything just like you and got my "dead" controller back to life! Thank you a lot!!

@Atterberry, nah you won't. You could just remote share your playstation.
@@mratterberry3350If you have remote play set up, you can follow the steps of my video using a phone or tablet as a controller. Or you could connect a keyboard and follow the steps of my vid that way (according to @Raccoon, "X is enter, Esc is O and F3 is the options button." Also, you could plug in a ps3 Move Controller and follow the steps. Otherwise, you will need to grab every micro USB cable you can find and plug each one to your controller and press the PS button. Not all cords work. Most cables are only designed to charge - the cable you use has to be able to charge AND do quick data transfer. Also, you may have the right cable, but the connector might be loose. If none of your cords work, you'll probably need to buy a new one - preferably the PS official cable which is about 10 dollars on Amazon and Gamestop.

Just to let you know (and if it helps anyone) : I didn't have another controller neither the possibility to have a new one, so what i did is get Remote Play for my phone and connect it to the controller (like the golden one), already have the PS4 connected to the same network as in my phone through Ethernet cable and voalá! Automatically, I got my phone as a controller in Remote Play!! I did everything just like you and got my "dead" controller back to life! Thank you a lot!!

How can i do it when ps4 didn't connect to the wifi but connect in Ethernet cable ?? And didn't have a third controller
Thank you! This is the second time ive had to look up how to connect my ps4. First time, i did it by resetting the controller, completely shuting off the ps4, and connecting usb after 5+ tries. This time I had to do this method!

You came in HEAVY clutch. I’ve had this problem, 2 controllers only one works (and it’s faulty) so I got a new one today and I can’t connect it, it’s the same issue with the other one that won’t connect. All the other videos I watch don’t help at all and tell me the same thing over and over again but this video is the reason why I’m here right now chillin playing some ghost of Tsushima. God bless 🙏
