So HERE WE ARE WITH THE NOSTALGIC PRESENCE!!! Finally from Netflix we get POWER RANGER ONCE AND ALWAYS!! I MUST SAY THIS WAS MF AWESOME! From the rangers to the suits to the villains the way the made things modern the way they made things cannon to power rangers as a story just it was awesome it’s hard to put into words how this makes me feel but this is definitely a Love Letter to Power Rangers Fans EVERYWHERE!!! Big shoutout to David Yost and whomever else that worked on this bc this is exactly what fans needed I appreciate this so much !

I’m glad I got to meet Billy, Jason, and Zack in person. Zack and I both had our Legacy Power Morphers, that were used in this movie, and gave me a chance to do awesome morphing poses together. That Legacy Morpher is one prop that I will not give away.
When I first saw Robo Rita in this yesterday, my first thought was literally "She really went overboard with the Snapchat filters". 😂😂 but this was really well done. Cheesy dialogue, great action, so much nostalgia and a simultaneously heartwarming and heartbreaking tribute to Thuy and JDF at the end. I do wish we had actually seen Bulk and Skull instead of just their pictures on a sign.

They actually got all the original actors and voice actors and even seemed to use Trini and Tommy's fighting ADR as well. It's the original actor for Alpha and Rita.
Shame they used some random guy for Jason at the start. That wasn’t his voice 😢 only heard him at the cemetery scene
I loved this TV Special so much. Netflix may have struck gold with this I hope anyways. I hope more and more people like this in the future.
It was so campy. So cheezy. And I loved it! I think they flubbed it at the end though, I wanna see two big guys wearing cardboard suits and I got some kinda weird CGI. Overall, not bad!
RIP Jason David Frank and Thuy Trang. Walter Emanuel Jones looks great for 52. That was a remarkable 30th-anniversary special.
They said that once and only was a teaser. Netflix didn’t give it a big budget. But they left it open and left the sets up just in case it did well. Now that it’s doing well we might get one more episode like a part 2 or a 10 episode mini season.
If they made a movie I'd watch it . Or a TV series I watch it too.

My only complaint, in all fairness, is the dedication to Thuy Trang was disappointingly long overdue.
It is overdue, but to be fair, the way the show/franchise is structured, there really was no organic way for the franchise to pay tribute to Thuy Trang WITHIN the different PR series. The show changes casts and storylines every year, with very little connections to previous/early seasons other than the team-up episodes and occasional guest appearances of former Rangers. As the show has gone on, within the continuity the original Mighty Morphin team is pretty irrelevant in terms of the storylines for current teams. With this being the 30th anniversary and them wanting to pay homage strictly to the Mighty Morphin' team, NOW was probably the best time to do it, and pull it off in a way that makes sense. Given than Trini's daughter is a major character, it definitely makes sense for her to take on the mantle now that she's of age.

If you don't know, Bandora was Rita's name in Japan. And that reporter girl is Annie from BuzzBlast in Dino Fury, a minor character but still a little cameo.

I noticed that at the beginning of the movie you caught that they used voice over for Tommy the green ranger, but in fact they also used voice over for Trini, Kimberly, and Jason the original yellow, pink, and red ranger. They had to do that to explain why Rita captured the original red and pink ranger and the rangers had to bring Rocky and Kat to cover for them. Of coarse Tommy was the only original ranger that was never replaced throughout the MMPR series and that’s why they didn’t bring anyone in to substitute for him.
Wish that Jason, Kimberly, and Tommy were actually in the Special instead of Being Voice Overs!

They actually used ADR and other audio clips from the original show…cleaned them up and everything…for Tommy, Jason, Kimberly, and Trini…when Trini yells BILLY!!…that was directly taken from the episode High Five…

They changed 1 thing from the comic cause in the comic Zack married Trini and was Minh's father but in this he is Minh's uncle and never marries Trini.
I think that would’ve been an interesting bit to put into this special…

I respectfully disagree. Power rangers was never as popular as mmpr. I think they should do a bit more mmpr focused to get the core nostalgia base hooked and then branch out to the rest. Maximum profits lol
@@zackshikari In space and Lost Galaxy was very popular, although Lost Galaxy was blowing budget that they hardly had, that season was very expensive.
Both Zeo and Turbo seems to be popular among fans as well as Time Force. Then there are those who only grew up with the Disney era. Not to mention the current kids who only watch the later seasons.
Theres some sad news though Super Sentai in Japan might be coming to an end due to low viewing ratings and low toy sales
@@markcruz359 sorry I stand corrected. In space was pretty big. I fell out at lost galaxy. I just keep revisiting the first 4. But in space still never felt like MMPR. All the kids around me kinda grew out of it.
I think they should get a bigger budget and then have a mini season that follows after this with the same team but then show other characters from different seasons. Kinda like the mega battle but actually put in a story for all the characters working together and just just a 3 second cameo

this is very similar to what they did in ghostbusters afterlife by using unused footage from the first ghostbusters movie with the late harold ramis who played egon! while the ghost version of egon was played by ivan reitman himself in heavy protestics to make him look like egon and he was the director of the first and second ghostbusters movies!

Loved this one so much and it is such a good way to wrap the original rangers up in a way. The dedications at the end made me cry though and for the record the actress of Trini the yellow ranger died in 2001 from a car crash and she was only 27 years old so sad. they changed Trini's history here though but I don't mind that because her having a daughter is cool. Tecnically when the rangers were all turned into kids by Rita's father Trini decided to stay in the past and Ayisha who was from the past replaced her in the future as the yellow ranger so she couldn't have had a daughter but like I said I don't mind that they added that detail in here cause it's cute and her daughter looks and acts a lot like Trini so that is cool too. I liked Trini's daughter here she's cool.

This was pretty good. I thought it was weird though that they made it like the original rangers got their powers back from their successors. Timeline kinda weird. I really like the way they morphed this time. Great effects. I’m curious why JDF didn’t come back for this one. He was really big with the Power Ranger series so much that he did a movie with a more adult Power Rangers theme that comes out Sept 2023 called “Legend of the White Dragon”. It was nice that they acknowledged him at the end along with Thuy. The original series didn’t just need the budget but the technology to make it like this. It’s interesting they called for the “mega” power sword and not just the power sword like they did in the original series. Looks like somewhere along the way Billy upgraded the power sword. So it looks like Tommy & Kat ended up together with a kid. I don’t remember the song they sang at the end being in an episode. I wonder if it was just them sitting around the set doing it.
The song at the end is from the episode "The Song of Guitardo." It's episode eleven of season 2.

@Will N it doesn’t make sense for him to decline a power rangers project in one breath and start working on a whole different one that is in league with saban and working with other people that were part of the power rangers universe at different points, this isn’t just some random fan film, it’s being made by people who have worked on past and current power rangers projects

The reason why I say that is because everything looks so flat. Even their thumnails look like they're drawn characters. As always, I mean no offensive if they're real people.

Perfect approach for this Special. Get the original actors that are available. Stick with what made Power Rangers great and upgrade the lame stuff. I especially enjoyed the pacing. The original show drags too much.
