So now that power rangers once and always is around the corner we are back with some Power Rangers! And this Time we take a look at the 2017 Film titled POWER RANGERS. Five ordinary teens must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it's too late, band together as the Power Rangers. As a fan this was disappointing at the time of release yet the fandom has grown to like this film me personally I’m not a huge fan but this watch definitely made me feel better than I have before plus Whiite gold seemed entertained by it

Super amazing , it was super emotional as well . Just finished watching it on Tubie ... loved it . The ending got me when they mentioned tommy Oliver and the green jacket sitting on the chair .. someone should honestly pick this movie up and finish it just for the fans ..

Imo it was a solid attempt to do a 15+ adaption the cgi wasn't the best the suits felt odd however the story was good the characters felt real and I would've liked a sequel if only to see who they would cast as Tommy so solid 7/10

Well, it’s always been theorized that Rita was always the original Green Ranger since the 90’s. That’s how she was able to make Tommy the Green Ranger.
I personally loved this movie. I'm a huge Power Rangers fan and I enjoyed it. I loved the casting for the Rangers and the designs of their suits and Zords. I liked Rita's design and I thought Goldar's design worked for the movie.
I really hoped a sequel to this will be out. I love this version of power Rangers
The original sequel to this was cut. And it was change to the one that just came out a few days ago. Power rangers once and always. Brining back some of the OG’s

Power Rangers was my #1 show and tbh this felt like a love letter to me at least, I loved Rita mainly in her scene with Trini. I also mightve been overzealous cuz I was on acid in the theatre so my experience was cathartic 🤣🤣☠️🔥
I love this movie , I'm always gonna be incredibly sad a sequel never happened but I'm so happy at least this movie exist though 🤘⚡⚡⚡

This was a pretty good movie. I liked how they did the uniforms for the rangers. I also like how the teens are troubled teens and not perfect students and having them have to be truthful to themselves as well as others. The growth wasn’t just the five teenagers but Zordon also. He decided that he was being selfish to come back and brought Billy back to make the team a whole. It was interesting having the blue ranger be autistic (blue is the main color for autism). I liked the way the actor portrayed an autistic person. Very true and respectful to autistic people (having an autistic brother and daughter myself it’s nice they’re not portrayed as drooling idiots). I just wish they did the villains better. Rita was ok to a point but Goldar shouldn’t have been her main monster to attack but a minion like the series. The puttys were also weird. They needed more form to them. The other thing is the way the megazord looked at the end. Alpha said that the zords took shape of the strongest thing around which at the time was the dinosaurs. But when they formed the megazord it took Goldars form meaning that Goldar is the strongest thing around. Alpha’s design was good. His head was a little weird but I think I liked it better than the series. I think that Jason’s dad realized it was Jason when he told him to trust him. The way he looked at the red ranger after he got out of the truck and putting the newspaper clipping on the fridge makes me think he knows his son is a ranger.
I believe this Sept (2023) there is a power rangerish movie coming out starring Jason David Frank (Tommy). They talked about releasing it around what would’ve been his 50th birthday. It’s called The Legend of the White Dragon. It’s based on the power rangers but with a more adult theme. It’s also Jason’s final completed film. They just had to do all the special effects when he died.

When I saw this in theaters, I thought it was a good movie. I love the representation for two communities that I'm part of. Having the Yellow Ranger be a lesbian (supposedly unconfirmed) and the Blue Ranger be autistic was a good way to advocate for both communities. My two gripes with the movie are that I wish Goldar looked somewhat more like he did on the show version, not like a giant pile of 24 karat gold sludge, and I wish the combined Megazord toy felt like it was worth its price point for each individual zord that I bought to form it. Combined together, the Megazord feels really cheaply made and hollow, you could actually feel the light weight to it, compared to the three megazords from Dino Charge in my collection, which are more dense, like a paperweight. And you cannot argue that the two original cast member cameo appearance was iconic. Amy Jo Johnson and Jason David Frank's (RIP) cameos were awesome.
I made the mistake of buying the megazord for this movie. And it is a weak toy. Not fun to play with, and the connection joints on the T-Rex are top damn tight even for an adult to try and combine it. How is a child supposed to put the arms in?
Not to mention it's too expensive for how cheap it was made. Just a lot of thin pieces of plastic, it can't stand up on its own. The weapons were find of fun to fire, and the fact it comes with miniature rangers to sit in their cockpits was nice, but that's it.
On top of all that. The individual zords are just bricks, and the parts-forming pisses me off too. I always preferred transforming toys, and not just removing a hundred parts and putting them somewhere else. It's just a trash toy.

This movie was what got me back into the series growing up(cuz when I was in elementary school I watched the show on Nick Toons a lot) it is unfortunate that they weren’t able to make a sequel since they sort of hinted it at the end of the movie with the green outfit...😔

I love this movie way better than the original series. Growimg up in the 80s and 90s i mever got into PR much past the first series. I dont get thr hate for this movie has a darker tone and has that Chronicle like feel to it. Nice reaction

Overall, a great movie no question.The only drawback of the film, in my opinion, is the morph! I thought it would be more similar to the show. Calling the names of each of their respective prehistoric beast and just adding a little more flair to their transformations. However, the film, like I said, was an overall great film!
Yeah it was pretty underwhelming, and I didn’t like that it too long for them to suit up.

I genuinely think putting the cheesy power r anger music in the back added a fun element to it cuz these are teenagers and every decision they make is kind of a dumb one , why they’re in detention, going to explore the rocks….everything is them kind of being reckless, them practicing over the last bite of a brownie, everything just fits to what a teenager of their background would do, so having the power ranger theme song in the back felt like a group of teenagers inside joke at a party, it was intentional and were all in on it

Lionsgate and Netflix needs to hear your review because this is how all of us 90’s fans feel. The movie was good but they did not include the elements that we all fell in love with, which is why it failed overseas in China and Japan. They were expecting martial arts fighting and action, not a woke teenaged drama that geared towards Americans. Know your audience, which is the problem because they were trying to please everyone by making to many changes way too fast and it failed in the box office. I hope someone sends the producers your feedback because you really hit it on the head with the Mario and Sonic comparisons.

CGI has just ruined movies in general, but yeah Goldar, the zords, alpha all awkward as hell. I didn’t mind the Rita as green ranger angle only because going back to the original power rangers Rita just randomly had a green ranger power coin and creates the green ranger, this movie gave explanation as to why she had a power coin and I think if the sequel had been made it would have given a smoother storyline to the threat of the green ranger. I think it was also kind of hinted that Rita was the original green ranger in the series……… Overall storyline not bad I’d give a 9 out of 10 for that but the CGI in this movie I’d only give a 4 out of 10, if the power ranger suits weren’t cool than that 4 probably wouldn’t even be a 1
