Rocky has used the power sword in season 2. Kat didn't take over the role of pink ranger till season 3 when they no longer had the dino powers so it was interesting hearing her say "Pterodactyl" instead of "Pink Ranger Power"
I love the implication that Tanya - the only Earth-based Zeo Ranger who hasn't been captured (Tommy), off-world (Adam) or using MMPR powers (Rocky & Kat) - is doing her bit to fight, even if she does get captured
While the choreography, cinematography and graphics were underwhelming, I will say I greatly appreciate that this felt written for the original fans of MMPR. Like you could tell a lot of this was written for those who grew up with MMPR.
I think it would be pretty cool if they spun this off into a new MMPR series. Like MMPR next generation, with Billy and Zack taking on a dual mentor role in place of Zordon Also a little detail you missed, when they're in the juice bar at the end, on the wide shot, the people using the workout equipment were all wearing ranger colors
jupamoers that's a new one for me! Did you ever also catch that the Dragonzord was originally made from a remodeling of the original MechaGodzilla from that franchise? Among other things the finger missiles/rockets are a big giveaway.
One I noticed that you didnt mention was that in the Juice bar, Rocky and Zack do all the different fighting styles/ moves that the OG rangers did. Like Rocky does Jason's tornado kick and Zack does the split kick in the air like Kimberly (if I'm not mistaken). Of course we all knew Zack was doing his Hip Hop Kido and Minh was doing the same Prey Mantis style like Trini.
I honestly really enjoyed this special, because we've never got to see Zack, Rocky and Kat all together and it felt really special. I did not realize that flip was what hurt Rocky and took him out of Turbo. Surprised we didn't get a mention of Justin somewhere. Wait, we're getting to the year where SPD happened? God, I feel old and that is weird. So, during whatever season is going on in 2025, we have to remember in the backgroudn SPD is trying to capture Grumm? That's weird. So, Adam and Aisha had a hand in making SPD? I'm confused about the lore on this.
I like the nod to continuity there with Space Patrol Alpha up and running to pave the way for Space Patrol Delta. And the lore is super confused, especially since Aisha shouldn't even be here in present day after staying in the past and sending Tanya to the 90s with the Zeo crystal shard to take her place. Also, given how the Alpha SPD Rangers have Space Ranger helmets, you'd have expected the Space Rangers to be making the Space Patrols, not two of the MMPR ones, but whatever. I like both Aisha and Adam enough to not complain too much lol.

I enjoyed the special. The only story problem I caught was Billy saying not to destroy the robots when they were stuck to a giant magnet, but at the end the solution was to destroy all the robots
I think the justification for that, was Minh had yet to become the yellow ranger and was still on a path to revenge. It wasn't until after she had become a yellow ranger that the solution was then to just kill all the robots. Works in my brain. Lol
I loved it! I wish they could have also added in a small tribute to Ernie, Robert Axelrod/ Lord Zedd (as He is the most recently deceased before JDF), OG Rita, and whoever else passed away (I am sorry who I may have missed) that was featured on MIghty Morphin. It was a FANTASTIC special! I hope it's successful that Netflix would consider doing a follow-up. It would be wonderful if they could get ASJ (after his legal stuff dies down), AJJ, Nakia Burrise (though she is technically in this), David Fielding/Zordon, Bulk and Skull, Ms. Appleby, Etc.,
I really appreciate how they used Jason, Kimberly, Trini, and Tommy's fighting grunts in the opening fight scene. Although.... Not sure about Jason's since it doesn't sound like Austin St John so maybe they actually used voice imitation or something?
I wasn't to sure if it was the voice of Austin as it sounded so wrong and I thought that it was someone else at the time doing it, I thought that would of got some sound board things
I think that might of been the only thing that was him and all, Shame as I thought they could of got him to make some of the sounds while he did the Beast Morphers Special

I did notice them but then I thought that people would of seen it and all, It was a good thing in there, I do wish they did it the old way and use their power coins
i only had one issue with the megazord scene, one is that they went straight through the forming and never had a "voiced" lock on and log in scene would have been an awesome call back, and a call for switch to battle mode
If you look closely at the top of the crystals, it looks like the coins are there. However, it would've been nice to see them form the crystals the old way.
The diamonds on the gloves and boots are made of a mesh looking material and I think its a nice touch, oh and the helmet for the pink ranger is a darker shade than the original and the suit itself.
David Yost WILL be in Cosmic Fury, yes, and so will Charlie Kersh. A set photo showed her with the cast. Heckyl from Dino Charge will also likely appear, which means we'll probably get to see the Dark Ranger in action.

Not gonna lie the crane thing went right over my head. I know youre supposed to have a permit or a cdl of some kind to operate a crane so I was curious if the actress actually got her permit to be able to do that scene. Or if someone else was lifting the crane during the quick edits.

Something that bothered me was how they didn't destroy Minotaur and Snizzard earlier, they kind of spared them several times and even said revenge is not the way to Trini's daughter but that bite them back
I would of destroyed them as the rangers know that when you destroy a monster their effects wear off, I would of just finished them off there and then to save time

Great video! I just learned that netflix made them shoot this entire special in like 12 days which is insane! The fact that it was as good as it was with so many easter eggs is amazing and thank you for creating this video, makes me want to go watch it again
This was a good movie. It was interesting how in the Command Center they showed other command bases listed. I liked how they made a presence of Jason, Kimberly, Tommy by Robo-Rita capturing them and other following characters like Ashley and Carlos and many more. The Megazord looked very unusual looking, all cgi made. It was great to have Zack back in the franchise for the first time since his unexpected departure in 1994 and having him lead the team. So this and the Forever Red crossovers were the best ones I’ve seen in Power Ranger crossover history.
Rocky used the power blaster. So... Technically he used the Power Sword. Also, does any one else find it weird that there are two swords from the same show called the power sword?

We have to recall that some ten thousand years before Rita was released from her first space dumpster imprisonment that Zordon had already found the first five Power Coins, and assembled an ancient/prehistoric Ranger Team to defeat, and imprison her. Unfortunately so far no one has thought to create a special, or series retroactively showing us any of their adventures. Maybe one day.
1977? That means for Trini was 16 when MMPR first started. Which probably means that Jason, Zach and Trini were likely going to be graduating anyway at the end of season 2. But didn't most of them not graduate until the beginning of Turbo? That means Tommy was younger and Kimberly would have had to be 14 in MMPR for that to have made sense.
Kimberly graduated in season 3 though unless she was younger and just happened to have classes with them. It’s why she passed the torch so she could see her goals as a professional gymnast.
Something you missed: Billy called it the "Mega Power Sword" which was what Jason called it when they battled the Spinx monster guy.. and then the next Episode, he calls for it by saying "We need power of the Mega Sword" and then the next episode he calls it "The Power Sword" Idk if its a reference to the very inconsistent naming of the Power Sword, but there you go! :D

Automatic seat belt from Radbug scene references to Lightning Cruiser putting seatbelt on TJ while taking flight. Front of Ragbug looks like the turbine of the red Supertrain Zord from Lightspeed Rescue. Radbug is blue with white pin stripe, 2 colors Billy used when he teleported during his time on the show. Same goes for Rocky's civilian uniform, it's both red and blue. Sandwich on the billboard is not from Pudgy Pig episode, but a reference to the Bulk-wich in the time capsule episode. Rangers saving civilians from ruins and calling them to safety goes back to Countdown to Destruction part 1. After a hard fight, the Rangers had to stay powered down to hide from their enemies. The term Z-Wave was originally used in an episode in season 2, except the Z stood for Zedd, not Zordon.
Technically Kendrix died too, she came right back to life at the end of the series but I actually named my older daughter after her, my youngest daughters named after Kendall.

Saban's team ran into a problem regarding the Green Ranger because Burai died halfway through Zyuranger. The solution? Write Tommy out of the show. How? A two-parter in which he loses his Green Ranger powers. Of course, to prevent Rita from regaining control of them, Tommy passes them onto Jason, just as Burai passed his power onto Geki in Zyuranger.
I think the ranger figure is just the lightning collection figure with added scuplting, you can see it especially on the ankle and pink ranger elbow area. Nice video by the way

4:23 to 4:26 is also the first time Kat ever used Pterodactyl powers. In season 3, her powers came from the Crane Power Coin after Kimberly's departure.
I'm happy to see Aisha of course, but there must be time travel shenanigans if she's in present day with Adam since in the quest for her Zeo Crystal fragment, she stayed behind in her ancestors' time while Tanya came to the present to take on the role of Yellow Zeo Ranger. Also there's the whole issue of how are the MMPR powers and Zords back? I guess Adam's appearances morphing into the MMPR Black Ranger in callback episodes in the later series confirms that the MMPR morphers still worked, even if they were damaged and unstable. Maybe Billy has been repairing them. The Dino Zords however are gone like twice over, first wrecked and transformed into the Thunderzords and then those zords were destroyed later. I guess maybe Billy rebuilt them from scratch? Also, it was nice Rocky got his chance to morph back into the Red Ranger suit after missing out on a chance to be in Forever Red (apparently they caught him in the middle of moving and he couldn't make it over for filming.)

Another time was when they brought the power cannon together to blast Cannontop in Season 2. They never really fought with the weapons individually in that episode, but it was the first and only time we saw the power cannon being used with Rocky Adam and Aisha in the team
Thee last time all the Rangers used the weapons was in Rangers Back In Time Part 2 in Season 2.Yes, the Power Blaster was last used against Cannon Top in Scavenger Hunt. Adam has used the Power Axe in Storybook Rangers and again in Once A Ranger. The weapons were scrapped entirely in Season 3, again to curb the violence parents were complaining about. Alex, that theatre was a vortex and the Rangers couldn't summon their weapons or teleport out.
I have a theory regarding Rita. Although Robo Rita was destroyed, if you think about how many times the Daleks returned when The Doctor defeated them I don't think it's beyond possibility that Rita could return again (and again). For instance, I know that all of the Sporix were captured at the end of Dino Fury except for Mucus. What if Mucus somehow managed to revive Rita again?
As I can recall…rocky did use the power sword within the power blaster but Kat did not use the power bow what’s so ever. True Rocky did not use the sword alone itself but he still used it in the power blaster

We know that all of the arrangers are the same age up until Justin, since they are always in the same classes in school even, even the replacements. So that makes them 16 when they became rangers in 1993. However, that also means that only 2 years pass in between Season 1 & the first episode of Turbo when they graduate High School
i could imagine either they would send multiple monsters in a day so like 2 or even 3 episodes could be the equivalent of a day or even a week there time

There were a couple times when the megazord sword was called the "mega power sword". I wanna say one was "a pig surprise". My guess is they realized that they named two things "'the power sword".
You didnt mention Troobian. (empire aka grum from spd) that adam mentioned. Also.. missing the "Megazord sequence iniated, megazord activated" wasnt in the zord sequence.
I think the "too much pink energy" with Kat refers to her having her Ninja powers, Zeo her Turbo powers (all pink) so adding Kim's pterodactyl powers to it would be dangerous as heck.
Trini wasn't the first Ranger to die. While an argument could be made that it's Zordon, as far as humans go, Kendrix Morgan, the Pink Galaxy Ranger was the first to die on screen.

I really appreciate how they used Jason, Kimberly, Trini, and Tommy's fighting grunts in the opening fight scene. Although.... Not sure about Jason's since it doesn't sound like Austin St John so maybe they actually used voice imitation or something?
I wasn't to sure if it was the voice of Austin as it sounded so wrong and I thought that it was someone else at the time doing it, I thought that would of got some sound board things

I did notice them but then I thought that people would of seen it and all, It was a good thing in there, I do wish they did it the old way and use their power coins
i only had one issue with the megazord scene, one is that they went straight through the forming and never had a "voiced" lock on and log in scene would have been an awesome call back, and a call for switch to battle mode
If you look closely at the top of the crystals, it looks like the coins are there. However, it would've been nice to see them form the crystals the old way.

The diamonds on the gloves and boots are made of a mesh looking material and I think its a nice touch, oh and the helmet for the pink ranger is a darker shade than the original and the suit itself.
David Yost WILL be in Cosmic Fury, yes, and so will Charlie Kersh. A set photo showed her with the cast. Heckyl from Dino Charge will also likely appear, which means we'll probably get to see the Dark Ranger in action.

9:26 Rocky briefly used the Power Sword in “Scavenger Hunt” to form the Power Blaster. He used it again in “Rangers Back in Time,” Part 2 when the team fought Goldar and old monsters guarding the Rock of Time.

Not gonna lie the crane thing went right over my head. I know youre supposed to have a permit or a cdl of some kind to operate a crane so I was curious if the actress actually got her permit to be able to do that scene. Or if someone else was lifting the crane during the quick edits.

Something that bothered me was how they didn't destroy Minotaur and Snizzard earlier, they kind of spared them several times and even said revenge is not the way to Trini's daughter but that bite them back
I would of destroyed them as the rangers know that when you destroy a monster their effects wear off, I would of just finished them off there and then to save time
Zordon has a rule never to escalate first, unless they escalate

Great video! I just learned that netflix made them shoot this entire special in like 12 days which is insane! The fact that it was as good as it was with so many easter eggs is amazing and thank you for creating this video, makes me want to go watch it again

This was a good movie. It was interesting how in the Command Center they showed other command bases listed. I liked how they made a presence of Jason, Kimberly, Tommy by Robo-Rita capturing them and other following characters like Ashley and Carlos and many more. The Megazord looked very unusual looking, all cgi made. It was great to have Zack back in the franchise for the first time since his unexpected departure in 1994 and having him lead the team. So this and the Forever Red crossovers were the best ones I’ve seen in Power Ranger crossover history.
Rocky used the power blaster. So... Technically he used the Power Sword. Also, does any one else find it weird that there are two swords from the same show called the power sword?
Maybe Robo Rita's machine got so much more power than she expected because of Tanya and her Zeo powers?

1977? That means for Trini was 16 when MMPR first started. Which probably means that Jason, Zach and Trini were likely going to be graduating anyway at the end of season 2. But didn't most of them not graduate until the beginning of Turbo? That means Tommy was younger and Kimberly would have had to be 14 in MMPR for that to have made sense.
Kimberly graduated in season 3 though unless she was younger and just happened to have classes with them. It’s why she passed the torch so she could see her goals as a professional gymnast.

Automatic seat belt from Radbug scene references to Lightning Cruiser putting seatbelt on TJ while taking flight. Front of Ragbug looks like the turbine of the red Supertrain Zord from Lightspeed Rescue. Radbug is blue with white pin stripe, 2 colors Billy used when he teleported during his time on the show. Same goes for Rocky's civilian uniform, it's both red and blue. Sandwich on the billboard is not from Pudgy Pig episode, but a reference to the Bulk-wich in the time capsule episode. Rangers saving civilians from ruins and calling them to safety goes back to Countdown to Destruction part 1. After a hard fight, the Rangers had to stay powered down to hide from their enemies. The term Z-Wave was originally used in an episode in season 2, except the Z stood for Zedd, not Zordon.
One thing I thought was odd: Alpha sends out an All Rangers warning about Minotaur, but doesn't mention "Stay away from Snizzard"?

Saban's team ran into a problem regarding the Green Ranger because Burai died halfway through Zyuranger. The solution? Write Tommy out of the show. How? A two-parter in which he loses his Green Ranger powers. Of course, to prevent Rita from regaining control of them, Tommy passes them onto Jason, just as Burai passed his power onto Geki in Zyuranger.
Continuity errors and using toys for filming props are absolute campy staples of MMPR
and I wouldn't have it any other way.
We don't get a cameo from Michiko Soga because she died in 2006. They just used old footage for the part that shows her.

I think the ranger figure is just the lightning collection figure with added scuplting, you can see it especially on the ankle and pink ranger elbow area. Nice video by the way

4:23 to 4:26 is also the first time Kat ever used Pterodactyl powers. In season 3, her powers came from the Crane Power Coin after Kimberly's departure.
I'm happy to see Aisha of course, but there must be time travel shenanigans if she's in present day with Adam since in the quest for her Zeo Crystal fragment, she stayed behind in her ancestors' time while Tanya came to the present to take on the role of Yellow Zeo Ranger. Also there's the whole issue of how are the MMPR powers and Zords back? I guess Adam's appearances morphing into the MMPR Black Ranger in callback episodes in the later series confirms that the MMPR morphers still worked, even if they were damaged and unstable. Maybe Billy has been repairing them. The Dino Zords however are gone like twice over, first wrecked and transformed into the Thunderzords and then those zords were destroyed later. I guess maybe Billy rebuilt them from scratch?
Also, it was nice Rocky got his chance to morph back into the Red Ranger suit after missing out on a chance to be in Forever Red (apparently they caught him in the middle of moving and he couldn't make it over for filming.)

Rocky has uses the sword to make the power blaster. It happens once in season 2.
He used the Power Sword again in "Rangers Back in Time - Part 2".
Rocky has used the power sword before when they are stuck in the monster house by zedd and Rita in a three part episode. Kat, to my knowledge, never used the power bow.
Another time was when they brought the power cannon together to blast Cannontop in Season 2. They never really fought with the weapons individually in that episode, but it was the first and only time we saw the power cannon being used with Rocky Adam and Aisha in the team
Thee last time all the Rangers used the weapons was in Rangers Back In Time Part 2 in Season 2.Yes, the Power Blaster was last used against Cannon Top in Scavenger Hunt. Adam has used the Power Axe in Storybook Rangers and again in Once A Ranger. The weapons were scrapped entirely in Season 3, again to curb the violence parents were complaining about.
Alex, that theatre was a vortex and the Rangers couldn't summon their weapons or teleport out.

I have a theory regarding Rita. Although Robo Rita was destroyed, if you think about how many times the Daleks returned when The Doctor defeated them I don't think it's beyond possibility that Rita could return again (and again). For instance, I know that all of the Sporix were captured at the end of Dino Fury except for Mucus. What if Mucus somehow managed to revive Rita again?

We know that all of the arrangers are the same age up until Justin, since they are always in the same classes in school even, even the replacements. So that makes them 16 when they became rangers in 1993. However, that also means that only 2 years pass in between Season 1 & the first episode of Turbo when they graduate High School

I think the "too much pink energy" with Kat refers to her having her Ninja powers, Zeo her Turbo powers (all pink) so adding Kim's pterodactyl powers to it would be dangerous as heck.
I thought too much pink energy was a reference to Kendrixs when she sacrificed herself

Trini wasn't the first Ranger to die. While an argument could be made that it's Zordon, as far as humans go, Kendrix Morgan, the Pink Galaxy Ranger was the first to die on screen.
But Kendrix was revived at the end of her season, and she returned in the next one for the team-up.
