You know your a fan when after all these years you can still recognize the grunts when they fight.
They are very distinct.
Man, I live in Brazil and watched Power Rangers in 1995, now I'm 36 years old watching your reaction, even in different countries, I see that they had the same impact on you as they did on me, they are really missed, because in addition to being like a family, Power Rangers helped shape my character as a person, all the best to you, I hope more episodes come with the original cast!
Here's hoping. Like Java said this appears to be a dry run for a "series" concept. It's even listed on IMDB as being episode 1 or season 1. So only time will tell. Next up is Cosmic Fury; but, the legacy concept is pretty awesome and you best believe we will be there to watch it!
The campiness is definitely the power rangers appeal it's basically a soap opera with monsters and superheroes
I loved it. It was perfect and everything I needed. Trini is my favorite power ranger too.

Absolutely a fan of power rangers since the beginning with Billy being one of my favorites of all time along with Trini. This movie filled every single bill. And you guys are fantastic reactors so have a sub :) hope to see more!

Listen dude, all I can say is that quite literally you have had 30 years to get clued up on what's happened so yeah, it's a you problem if you don't know at this point. The special was fine as is 👌🏽
I mean Joe makes a good point though, it's hard to expand the fanbase if you enclose the story so that only the devout know what's happening. But agreed, he could have caught wise.
I was late to the party since Sweden didn't air the show found it on TH-cam. But I am as old as the show and it's special to me. Rest in peace all the wonderful actors/actresses and ppl who worked on the show that has joined the Morphin grid in the afterlife. May the power protect you all 🥺❤🔥

As a fan I loved that special. My only critic would be that they missed a huge opportunity. I really would have loved seeing them finishing out Rita with the Power Blaster.

Kindly note Zordon asked Andros the Red Power Rangers in Space (Season 6) ranger to destroy his tube to purge all evil which included the Rita, Zedd, the Machine Empire, Divatox, and Ecliptor...reason why originals came back, it is because of power rangers super mega force as it shows MMPR, Zeo, Turbo...so they had to balance out the old rangers with the second batch rangers who have zeo powers with the exception of Aisha who doesn't have any other powers except for Thunder and Ninja...however only unmorph ranger for the MMPR at this time was Tommy Oliver as the Green MMPR Ranger...Jason returns in Power Rangers Beast Morphers so he would have potentially received his powers from there plus he did call out the Other MMPR Rangers (all morphed) and Dino Thunder rangers minus Black and White Dino Thunder Rangers

Technically billy didn’t know if destroying the monster would destroy the rangers. He read the scans and then the scan said he had to kill the monster to save the rangers. Until then it would’ve been 50/50.

There's 23 Super Sentai shows that haven't gotten a US adaption. Super Sentai adaptions will return.
I’ll say for us original gen 1s the special hit everything. Not too dark but not too cheesy. But I get what oh boy was saying. If they want *NEW* fans from this special they would need to make it a bit more darker. That’s just the world we live in now. People want dark and edgy. Old fans were happy with the special and want more but showing this to a zoomer they wouldn’t like it. You have to experience the original to appreciate the new.

The reason why Rita was so Savage was because if you remember in space Rita was turned goodbye the Z-Wave. Alpha is artificial not real no. Keep that in mind. When the evil Rita essence took over. It was pure evil there was no form of consciousness. So besides the fact that the reunions special was upgraded to be and balance of both kids and adults can enjoy it.
Technically story-wise the fact that there was no soul attached to Rita it was able to push that character to literally murder someone

They weren't trying to expand the as in get more viewers they were trying to make it a more mature tone but still have that so both kids and adults who grow up with it can watch it. And obviously they're not doing too bad If the ratio on that film is high as they say it is
Yeah the juice bar looked way bigger in the series The only time it did it was a pilot so I agree it it kind of gave off this vibe of a smaller space

I wish the megazord fight would have l lasted longer I also wish they would have did what they did in the show with the individual zord cockpit with the epic one-liners it sucks it was like they had to stick I guess a strict 55-minute mark. Also Catherine Sutherland talks about a scene that they cut that had to deal with Trini and a younger version of mhine

I greatly loved this reunion special that being said it's a one view-only for me I mean I know it's Trini the characte but it felt like reliving I've tweet and watching her get murdered r but it's not healthy to be re-traumatized by grief of one person. I greatly enjoyed this special but for me it was a one-and-done viewing. For me for mandatory personal reasons.

I too as an LGBT person was glad of the LGBT nod but I was also glad and I don't care for other people disagree that there was no PDA and it was very short so anyone and everyone can enjoy it and this is not discrimination if they want more PDA they could gladly watch Dino fury are cosmic fury. In my opinion it respects the LGBT community but at the same time respect other people's religious beliefs that that there's no PDA and it's so short that it's not something for them to decide not to watch due to their religious beliefs. As well as it's not an insulting stereotype and I'm also glad there was no in-your-face politics in this special. And no I don't consider the gate couple virtue signaling to me would be any mention of I don't know patriarchy or race or gender issues. The only villain those two monsters and the putties
First of all the CG was way better than what they had for the mighty Morphin power rangers the movie. Second why is it always the dude in the black band t-shirt bitching about the CGI the toys would look stupid regardless of how nostalgic. So would having people in the megazord and monster suits at CGI isn't top-notch but it's way better than what we used to have I thought the megazord and it look like the lightning collection with the metal so I'm fine with it.
But sorry to tell you dude practical effects is dead and gone and the franchise is still non-union and it's owned by Hasbro who who values the same shity principal s Esteban how can we pay the actors less how can we do this crap for cheap. Cgi's cheaper than practical effects home.
