That works. Im doing the fenders on a 81 stepside. I thought the same of shoring it up first. My thought was plywood and dry wall screws, insted of clamps and tape. Ive already got holes to fill, whats a couple more. Thanks for posting your video.👍

Get it girl. Nice work. Next time try reinforcing the back with fiber cloth piece. It require more work but it will be stronger and only adds like 1-2pounds to the fender

I'm not done fixing these as i stated this is simply stabilizing them before i remove them at that point definitely in going to put fiberglass on the back. I didn't just take this off because it would have fallen to pieces and I'm not fiberglassing over dirt it won't stick. The inside of these fenders are filthy

So smart. I would not have thought to build it back up just to hold it's shape when you remove it. Super smart. It was a mess before you started. Thank you so much for sharing

😆 thanks! Trust me I've taken off stuff just to have it fall apart in my hands and then i can hardly patch it back together. None of the bolt holes would line up etc 😆 I've learned from previous mistakes

Should of sanded the surface first cause the fuller has nothing the etch to so it will fall off over time ..

You didn't listen to the first 2 minutes did you? Listening is key in life especially if what you commented on was addressed

How you doin? I got the coil spring mount changed on our '96. That wasn't fun. I cut all the rivets off and after I pulled the remnants of the bracket off, I used my rivet gun to drive the rivet chunks out of the frame. The kit comes with bolts and aircraft nuts. The original brake line came off without a fuss, but I did soak it with Kroil for a night. Keep up the good work!

I love your DIY attitude but your process is completely wrong. Just saying.
