The DarkHorse edition shoul of been compare to the Mach1, but if you wanted compare it to a Shelby it should of been the Shelby GT350 not the 500.
These two cars are not in the same class. Should be compared to a GT350.
True but I own a highly modified gt350r, even stock the gt350 would blow the dark horse out of the water. Plus it looks better.

Yeah I definitely agree with you on this one, comparing the GT500 to the dark horse, is like comparing a Ford focus to a GT 350 🤷🤷🤷🤷, there is so much wrong with this video. This is exactly what Trump be talking about fake news 😅😅
If we’re talking about price. You can get a used 2020 GT500 for the same Price as a fully Spec Darkhorse premium. For 80K. What are you picking? 500 HP with tech. Or RAW 760HP with everything you need to blow a Porsche off the track.

There's no comparison, I own a 22 gt500. Going to a dark horse would be a step backwards in my eyes. I've modified my car to the limit, 1000+rwhp, even a 6spd manual transmission retrofit and more.
You won't be able to do any of that to the dark horse, w/ it's locked ECU. Then the over the air updates and tunes, why not just stick a LoJack up my........well you know. Nope not for me, hopefully Ford well make a better effort on the next version of the mustang.
I agree the 2024 Mustang is a disgrace , ugly as heck, bad everything on this car, wrong move completely Ford .
You did a 6 speed manual swap on a 22 gt500? You sir are awesome! If I could afford it I would do the exact same thing. The dct holds it back just as much on the drag strip and a manual is 1000000000x more fun and engaging. No way I'd trade a gt350 or 500 or any s550 for a locked down ecu s650 that looks more like am s550 2.0 styling wise. This is unacceptable for an "all new" car it's a huge disappointment but people still run out and eat it up anyways because it's the latest greatest blah blah. So predictable. "Dark horse has the higher hp of any non Shelby" what an embarrassing way to flex the gt350 came 8 years ago and has more power. The s650 is a failure period. S550 anything blows it away especially a gt500 it's not even a fair comparison lol.

There's a tuning company in Illinois HPJ performance they offer in the manual retrofit. They first started offering it in late 2021 it's great you don't loose anything and fix Ford's mistake. New steering wheel w/o those flappy paddles, a gt350 console and brake & clutch pedals, etc now don't get me wrong it's not cheap. About $14k not counting transportation cost for the car, it's not for everyone but worth every penny to me. (Wife wasn't happy but I turned the table. Happy husband you get more love then, lol)
That dct was killer on the drag strip by only a few tenths, but played hunt and peck on the street or road course. Unless you were on it hard the damn thing had issues finding the right gear, unless you used those paddles.
No one I know is the slightest bit excited about, it was the talk at the last mustang round up. Very few people had something positive to say about the s650. Most were negative comments, not too many people are getting rid of their s550 for it.
Yeah it's the highest non-Shelby hp mustang, but that's all you're gonna get. No one leaves their mustang stock, you won't be able to upgrade for at least 2yrs. Right about the time the factory warranty goes out, coincidence I think not.

Run e-85, it's cheaper and makes more power. If you're worried about gas don't buy it, duh.

No just worry about quality charging stations every 4 hours.
What ever type of fuel you use whether Gasoline or electricity. You can run out of either. But i can fill my tank with gas in 10 minutes or less. With electricity. It can take around 45 minutes or longer to recharge.

Since the Dark Horse is the first new Mustang Performance series in over 20 years we wanted to see how this first model compared to the most powerful Mustang to date. This doesn’t discount the fact that the company has made many other amazing vehicles.

Because a new dark horse is 62k and a used gt500 is as low as 70k from what I've seen ..
So the Shelby doesn’t come with a 6 speed? If so that is a high miss
Correct, the GT500 only comes with an automatic transmission.
I drive car in the inside and not from the outside, sculptured instrument panel is the true trade mark of a wonderful car. Design language of this car's cockpit look abstractive, so messy to say the least.

People want grip and mustangs dont have it. Most people also want 0-60 or 0-80 capability (lite to lite). Until Ford can stop the crazy weight increaes each new model and do something about traction, tbe mustang will be playing 2nd fiddle to all others.
That GT 500 beats anything at it's price. Don't come on here acting like you know what you're talking about.

I take it you've haven't driven a gt350 or gt500. Besides the aftermarket got that covered. Have you heard of Steeda? Before you say from the factory, no one who owns a mustang leaves it stock.
Compared to the Camaro, Charger and Challenger,(straight line wonders) all of them handle like a brick in mud on a road course. Drag racing is like premature ejaculation, it's over too quick and not satisfying.
