Is not hard if you know what you are doing. Most people that review the GT500 just hit the gas pedal expecting the GT500 to push forward. What you need is the car in the softest setting so that the car’s weight is quickly transferred back. Lower the rear tires psi and do a proper burnout to make sure those tires are warm and sticky. Also, there is no need to launch the GT500 with a lot of RPMs. Once you are ready to hold the car with the brakes while giving it a bit of gas. Release break and tap gas pedal and then let go to slowly start pressing it as the car starts hooking up. In other words it takes skill to properly launch a GT500.
All I heard was that Shelby’s menacing sound. That M4 sounded like a Tesla next to it. You gotta give it to Shelby for making such a beautiful sound from a V8.

I have a buddy with a challenger Hellcat and he never uses launch control from a dig and he's able to keep it from peeling out. Course some people can't control themselves and have no idea what they're doing, thats a whole nother story. This mustang owner has it dialed in obviously and is able to make a very very fast M4 look ordinary fast. Wow

Okay the title wasn’t click bait. That gt500 walked that M4. Mustang also (as always) sounds so good too! I was able to get 740hp out of my m4 with a stage 3 chip tune upgraded bmw sport exhaust and bmw high flow intake and upgraded intercooler.

However, I'm just a big boat Mopar Guy - had a 1972 Charger back in the day I bought in the army in 1978, with a 440 magnum - miss that car!

Agreed, it'd be a hell of a car. The 10spds are messy and unrefined in the Mustangs (You may not notice it if it's all you've been in or driven but the DCT in the 500 feels so much better) and have a slow spot on long pulls. It jumps out hard and carries it for a bit then it runs out of steam. It doesn't make the 10speed bad but I definitely prefer the DCT.

The owner of the mustang has learned well over time. When you start to get around 400+ HP to the rear wheels only you need some sort of launch control from a dig. Mustang never looked back.

Weight difference is 291lbs, not 400lbs, according to the curb weights stated. Not that big of a difference. The power to weight ratio favors the GT500 and I wasn't really that surprised by the race results, they're fast.
Great launch from Shelby defo would of been abit closer with the m4 x drive however the m4 not really a competitor for a car with 200 hp less it’s more m5 comp class/ e 63s

I won't argue that the GT500 is fast, but it made the M4 look as if something was wrong. Would be interesting to see the BWM acceleration figures compared to other M4 Competition tests.
Is that M4 Comp AWD X-drive. Also you know that the 500 is dyno tuned by Ford's Shelby division...If you add some of those goodies and a DYNO tune to the Bimmer like the houses they have in Germany and in other parts of Europe...the race would be a lot closer. I have AWD and someone at a track day meet pulled up in a 5.0 and I was already at the end before he was half way down the track. To be honest the conditions were very humid and the pavement wasn't 100% dry either. Everything depends on which condition is favorable to the opposing vehicles: Humidity, temperature, wind conditions, pavement conditions too. Lots of factors at play here. Love the videos Sam...everyday is a hair day! LOL!

Stock down pipes? The F8x maxed out stock turbo is just a tad faster than stock gt500. This includes full e85, downpipe, custom tune, and meth.

@@Wicked_RotF30 No you won’t, a GT500 when it gets traction on DRAG STRIP 1/4 mile time is 10.6 seconds at 134 mph, Stangmode got 10.5 seconds at 135 mph, M4 comp XDRIVE AWD 1/4 mile time is 11.1 seconds at 124.7 mph, the RWD does 11.6 seconds at 125.6 mph which is still slower than Stang, The mustang on STreet does 1/4 mile in 11.3 seconds at 132 mph, on drag strip they do 10.6 seconds at 134 mph.

The owner of the mustang has learned well over time. When you start to get around 400+ HP to the rear wheels only you need some sort of launch control from a dig. Mustang never looked back.

I believe it is in Race Mode, you need to see a launch Control in the screen and you can hear the engine prepare for lc

Never seen anyone launched a gt 500 that good. Bmw guy wayyy behind you can hear the throttle coming at least a second after the gt 500.

Way more power and a better transmission... sure the M4 has a better chassis, but the GT500 is no base 5.0 either. In competent hands the GT500 is a beast. I'm willing to bet an M4 would need at least E85 or meth, if not upgraded turbos, to beat a stock GT500.

Weight difference is 291lbs, not 400lbs, according to the curb weights stated. Not that big of a difference. The power to weight ratio favors the GT500 and I wasn't really that surprised by the race results, they're fast.
That GT5 is all business😤. It should come with a Parental Advisory sticker from the factory.

I won't argue that the GT500 is fast, but it made the M4 look as if something was wrong. Would be interesting to see the BWM acceleration figures compared to other M4 Competition tests.
Did anyone really expect the BMW to win? I ran a new M3 with my stock 10R80 and we were dead even from a roll! all I had was a drop in K&N filter.
10R80 Stangs are incredible. An Awd version of even a stock 10R80 Stang would low 11 high 10s in the qtr.

Is that M4 Comp AWD X-drive. Also you know that the 500 is dyno tuned by Ford's Shelby division...If you add some of those goodies and a DYNO tune to the Bimmer like the houses they have in Germany and in other parts of Europe...the race would be a lot closer. I have AWD and someone at a track day meet pulled up in a 5.0 and I was already at the end before he was half way down the track. To be honest the conditions were very humid and the pavement wasn't 100% dry either. Everything depends on which condition is favorable to the opposing vehicles: Humidity, temperature, wind conditions, pavement conditions too. Lots of factors at play here. Love the videos Sam...everyday is a hair day! LOL!
I have owned 16 BMW’s and currently have an AMG and an M so I love my German cars but that was embarrassing! Hand it to the mustang, it’s a beast and that M4 Comp is just a Prius in comparison - epic b!tch slap beat down.
