You did a great job with this one, Evan! Though, as much as I hate to admit it, using Old Ben in a match up is fundamentally flawed, just because of how featless Old Ben really is. After all, as you said, we know almost nothing of Old Ben's Force abilities (Something that Marvel's current run of comics in the new continuity is hopefully going to rectify). Personally, I'm of the belief that Force abilities can't atrophy, though I can't think of any examples off the top of my head to back up that hunch. Still, it was a good match up, and I'm definitely satisfied with the outcome. It was nice to see someone do Old Ben some justice after how many people I've seen over the years who just totally disregard him.
May I suggest Lord Hoth vs Darth Malgus? I noticed how similar they were in the fact that they practically lived on warfare, and thought it'd be an interesting matchup. Besides, I've only seen Hoth being used once, so why not? :)
While their personal combat skills are probably very similar cause of their stature and strength. But Hoth knows how to use the enviroment to his advantage much better then Malgus. In one of Hoth's fight he casually locks a foe in stasis calculating that a careless follow through from one of their companions would fell them. He did this while distracted by a distant explosion. Malgus tunnel visions.
Obi Wan is the better duelist, they're comparable physically but Cade has the advantage as a force wielder. Shatterpoint and dark transfer are potent abilities Kenobi has no answer for however

Rob George Not necessarily. Malak was able to put Revan in stasis aboard the Leviathan on significant amount of time. We also saw Valentine Farfalla puting RoT Darth Bane in stasis on second or two. And since Malak is much more powerfull than Farfalla, while Malgus is not as powerfull as Bane...
I still feel obi-wan has declined physically enough that I felt you were being unfair to do this at first but watching the video I was impressed at how expertly and kindly you were to arguably the most unsung hero to have survived the clone wars

I really like how you did a vs series with lord both. I feel that he easily was the strongest duelist of his time and would love to see hoth vs mace windu. Two battle master, powerful Jedi who love the thrill of combat, but control it and don't fall to the dark side. Very interesting fight that I hope you do. The lost tribe doesn't get a lot of exposure and I would love to see Gavar Khai go up against Quinlan Vos or Shado Vao. Get back at me man.
I think everyone is really underestimates Obi-Wan in A New Hope as much of people's analysis of his duel with Vader is based on the misconception that he was fighting trying kill Vader. Obi-Wan never intended to survive, a possibility Vader himself brought up earlier when speaking to Tarkin. His primary goal was to distract Vader so the others could escape. I think it's also fair to assume that his connection to the force was still at a close level to were it was in R.O.T.S. as Yoda's had only gradually weakened as of E.S.B.

I like this video and I understand, that you first chose Kenobi, then Draay. But I think there might have been a more interesting opponent fort Draay. Someone less clever and ressourceful, but still skillfull and smart enough. Qui Gong or maybe even young PM Kenobi. Also I was wondering: Are you planning on doing a double- versus in the near future? Because there are a few matchups that I would really love to see, but I can imagine they are a pain to make and jundge.
yeah, no. Dray is an offensive bulldozer, but he is still more skilled than TPM kenobi and arguably, qui gon. You're completely underestimating dray. Reckless doesn't mean they have no skill. It's just that only tactical fighters can take advantage of it, such as obi wan taking advantage of vader's defensive lapses. Dray is still a powerful force wielder and lightsaber duelist. Also, TPM kenobi only survived against his duel with maul due to sheer luck, not skill. Even if he noticed dray's defensive lapses, he isn't skilled enough to take advantage of them, because of due to his lack of developed skill compared to his opponent

Battle as in a Division of Imperial Stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire plus typical armor and air forces vs. An combat Division of Imperial Guard of the Warhammer 40k Universe. This including of course AT-AT Vs. BaneBlade tanks as a pure who would likely win overall combative fight between the forces. It is another way I try to think outside the box to give unique fights people won't expect, though personally I feel like the Council could do this idea more justice than I would since I haven't even made a video yet.
I really love the Knight of the Old Republic comic series. I absolutely enjoyed it and hope that at some point it will be made canon again. And, also, I have an idea that will probably never happen but how would a TV series adaptation of Zayne Carrick's adventures be? @@TrajGreekFire Zayne defeated Lucien by looking at the bigger picture instead of focusing on his personal vendetta. Haazen was going to bombard Coruscant by remote controlling the Republic fleet while Lucien and Zayne were on the planet, but Lucien wanted to kill Zayne's friend Gryph because he thought Gryph murdered his mom which forced Zayne to engage Lucien in a duel. Zayne tried to make Lucien see that his rage was blinding him to the true threat - Haazen - but he wouldn't listen until the very end where Zayne finally managed to convince him to work together to stop Haazen. The two then engaged in a pretend duel in front of Haazen where Zayne pretended to kill Lucien which gave him the chance to sneak up on Haazen and "disarm" him of Haazen's remote. In terms of the actual fight, Lucien had Zayne outclassed in almost every way and would have won the battle had he not stopped and only lost because he *pretended* to lose. But Zayne setting aside his personal grudge to ask Lucien to work together with him to defeat Haazen was, in my opinion, the mark of a true Jedi while his former master could only focus on what was in front of him and was blinded by rage. In that regard, Lucien lost to Zayne in more ways than one.
I would have loved to see you use the grand inquisitor for something. No one ever uses new canon stuff. It may be inferior to legends, but there are many new interesting characters. Especially if you use the grand inquisitors comic feats against Vader and Jocasta Nu.
Boy, your going to have a field day when the maul vs old ben episode on rebels happens. Considering that rebels is only two years before a new hope. The episode should show what old ben was possibly capable of by his final fight with vader.

Look at Darth Vader. There's no doubt that his abilities were extensively and irreversibly crippled after his defeat on Mustafar. Hoth isn't viable for the versus format because we know far too little factually about him in any area to construct a fair breakdown for him. The argument in favour of Hoth has always fell apart when put under any scrutiny.
@@tiredjediknight3110 I entirely agree with you, the problem with Hoth is that he does not have any detailed dueling feats to his name and no comprehensive analysis of his fighting style in an official source. We see him deal with fodder sith warriors and nothing else.
You know I wish we would have more balanced fights involving Kenobi. Too often I've seen him put up against characters that are either raging berserkers or at the very least almost entirely offensively focused with little sophistication with regard to tactics, opponents Kenobi is optimized to deal with. I'd love to see a fight between him and Luke at the end of RotJ, Yoda, Exar Kun, etc.

However Traya would have likely tip the scales in her favor using the force powers. Force Lightning or Force Drain (If given enough time) would be a turning point in the contest. Overall I believe lady Lumiya would likely win early and mid-fight. One is a old witch who is a master in the force, the other is a cybernetic psychopathic Sith Assassin wielding a unique style and weapon.
+Maciek Ciepły Lumiya whip was made to counter the standard lightsaber. in this case I would say that she'd likely would be beat the Triple blade hurricane employed by Traya due to the weapons nature and Traya lack of training in interfacing it with her natural fighting level. +John Reeves Galen vs. Cade is intriguing. I like Galen, but I'm inclined to favor Cade, because of his Dark Transfer and Shatterpoint abilities. Palpatine against Krayt is another cool match-up that I would love to see. For that outcome, I'd say it's 50-50 or 51-49, in terms of chances of victory. Palpatine is for all intents and purposes, the most powerful dark side force wielder. That being said, Krayt is in the same league as him, and can compete in terms of raw power and skill. Add that to the fact that he is a superior swordsman and far more physically fit. But these are my opinions. If you disagree, that's fine.

I think everyone is really underestimates Obi-Wan in A New Hope as much of people's analysis of his duel with Vader is based on the misconception that he was fighting trying kill Vader. Obi-Wan never intended to survive, a possibility Vader himself brought up earlier when speaking to Tarkin. His primary goal was to distract Vader so the others could escape. I think it's also fair to assume that his connection to the force was still at a close level to were it was in R.O.T.S. as Yoda's had only gradually weakened as of E.S.B.

I like this video and I understand, that you first chose Kenobi, then Draay. But I think there might have been a more interesting opponent fort Draay. Someone less clever and ressourceful, but still skillfull and smart enough. Qui Gong or maybe even young PM Kenobi.
Also I was wondering: Are you planning on doing a double- versus in the near future? Because there are a few matchups that I would really love to see, but I can imagine they are a pain to make and jundge.
yeah, no. Dray is an offensive bulldozer, but he is still more skilled than TPM kenobi and arguably, qui gon. You're completely underestimating dray. Reckless doesn't mean they have no skill. It's just that only tactical fighters can take advantage of it, such as obi wan taking advantage of vader's defensive lapses. Dray is still a powerful force wielder and lightsaber duelist.
Also, TPM kenobi only survived against his duel with maul due to sheer luck, not skill. Even if he noticed dray's defensive lapses, he isn't skilled enough to take advantage of them, because of due to his lack of developed skill compared to his opponent

This including of course AT-AT Vs. BaneBlade tanks as a pure who would likely win overall combative fight between the forces. It is another way I try to think outside the box to give unique fights people won't expect, though personally I feel like the Council could do this idea more justice than I would since I haven't even made a video yet.

I really love the Knight of the Old Republic comic series. I absolutely enjoyed it and hope that at some point it will be made canon again. And, also, I have an idea that will probably never happen but how would a TV series adaptation of Zayne Carrick's adventures be? @@TrajGreekFire Zayne defeated Lucien by looking at the bigger picture instead of focusing on his personal vendetta. Haazen was going to bombard Coruscant by remote controlling the Republic fleet while Lucien and Zayne were on the planet, but Lucien wanted to kill Zayne's friend Gryph because he thought Gryph murdered his mom which forced Zayne to engage Lucien in a duel. Zayne tried to make Lucien see that his rage was blinding him to the true threat - Haazen - but he wouldn't listen until the very end where Zayne finally managed to convince him to work together to stop Haazen. The two then engaged in a pretend duel in front of Haazen where Zayne pretended to kill Lucien which gave him the chance to sneak up on Haazen and "disarm" him of Haazen's remote. In terms of the actual fight, Lucien had Zayne outclassed in almost every way and would have won the battle had he not stopped and only lost because he *pretended* to lose. But Zayne setting aside his personal grudge to ask Lucien to work together with him to defeat Haazen was, in my opinion, the mark of a true Jedi while his former master could only focus on what was in front of him and was blinded by rage. In that regard, Lucien lost to Zayne in more ways than one.
I would have loved to see you use the grand inquisitor for something. No one ever uses new canon stuff. It may be inferior to legends, but there are many new interesting characters. Especially if you use the grand inquisitors comic feats against Vader and Jocasta Nu.

+TheSummoner86 Darth Plagueis said something about that. It had to with the implication that a "loss of connection" had more to do with one's psychological state than one's physical state. Look at Darth Vader. There's no doubt that his abilities were extensively and irreversibly crippled after his defeat on Mustafar. But Palpatine shared the viewpoint that a majority of the inhibitions on Vader's part were psychological, not physical. Palpatine believed that if Darth Vader were to confront the choices he made and fully shake himself out of his despondence, then he would have had been more than capable of reawakening the unparalleled power of the Chosen One inside of him.His theory was lent further credence by comments made by Plagueis regarding cyberization; even in extreme cases, it did not ultimately limit one's ability to use the Force. And we see Vader achieve this to a certain extent. Once he got used to his heavy armor and successfully re-tooled his lightsaber style, he regained some of his confidence and became easily one of the most powerful Sith Lords in the history of the galaxy. However, to varying degrees, he would always be haunted by the choices he made. An example of this was his mission to Atoa, as shown in "Darth Vader and the Lost Command". We see that over the course of his mission, he was driven temporarily insane due to the repeated visions he had of his wife. Vader's feats show that while he was able to make progress in coming to terms with everything, he was never fully able to accept what he became.

Hoth isn't viable for the versus format because we know far too little factually about him in any area to construct a fair breakdown for him. The argument in favour of Hoth has always fell apart when put under any scrutiny.
@@tiredjediknight3110 I entirely agree with you, the problem with Hoth is that he does not have any detailed dueling feats to his name and no comprehensive analysis of his fighting style in an official source. We see him deal with fodder sith warriors and nothing else.

You know I wish we would have more balanced fights involving Kenobi. Too often I've seen him put up against characters that are either raging berserkers or at the very least almost entirely offensively focused with little sophistication with regard to tactics, opponents Kenobi is optimized to deal with. I'd love to see a fight between him and Luke at the end of RotJ, Yoda, Exar Kun, etc.

+Maciek Ciepły They both are trickers in battle only difference between them is one is a natural force witch and the other is a cybernetic assassin with a unique whip, given Lumyia's skill and whips she'd dominate the fight. However Traya would have likely tip the scales in her favor using the force powers. Force Lightning or Force Drain (If given enough time) would be a turning point in the contest. Overall I believe lady Lumiya would likely win early and mid-fight. One is a old witch who is a master in the force, the other is a cybernetic psychopathic Sith Assassin wielding a unique style and weapon.
+Maciek Ciepły Lumiya whip was made to counter the standard lightsaber. in this case I would say that she'd likely would be beat the Triple blade hurricane employed by Traya due to the weapons nature and Traya lack of training in interfacing it with her natural fighting level. +John Reeves Galen vs. Cade is intriguing. I like Galen, but I'm inclined to favor Cade, because of his Dark Transfer and Shatterpoint abilities. Palpatine against Krayt is another cool match-up that I would love to see. For that outcome, I'd say it's 50-50 or 51-49, in terms of chances of victory. Palpatine is for all intents and purposes, the most powerful dark side force wielder. That being said, Krayt is in the same league as him, and can compete in terms of raw power and skill. Add that to the fact that he is a superior swordsman and far more physically fit. But these are my opinions. If you disagree, that's fine.
