Bit of a mismatch. Though Luminara has never been depicted in a lightsaber fight in legends and Aayla has been in a few, Luminara is a jedi master so she outclasses Aayla. A better fight would be Barriss Offee vs Aayla Secura. What would be even better is Quinlan Vos & Aayla Secura vs Luminara Unduli & Barriss Offee.
Kit Fisto is the superior duelist when compared to Oppo. Form 1 is perfectly suited to deal with Oppo's physical makeup. Being able to move his body to attack at any angle, having 4 arms, and attacking with his tail is the equivalent of multiple opponents. Like with Grievous one person but multiple attacks. So I must disagree with your verdict on their marital arts ability.
I don`t have access to source books, but from what I have seen from Kit Fisto throughout all the different media, I always got the feeling that he wasn`t just a Shii-Cho style specialist. He very frequently shows acrobatic maneuvers, which makes me guess that he has some training in Ataru, and his use of Jar`Kai would indicate that aswell, because Ataru is a possible gateway to the style. The fact that he has such a strong reputation would indicate that aswell. Looking at the other swordmasters of the time, they usually had some skill in several forms. Even Doku had atleast researched the other forms and implemented some aspects of them into his personalized style. Other high level masters of the time like Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, Obi Wan, Anakin Skywalker, etc. all used a variety of forms in their style. It seems odd to me that Kit Fisto has a similiar reputation even though he only knows one form. His skill in hand-to-hand combat would also suggest that he got more then it seems, Ataru and Niman both would encourage hand-to-hand implementation, and he is also skilled at incorporating force abilities combatively. Yep, he's a form 1 master and we don't know his level of skill in Ataru, but he was credited as knowing Ataru in a book so he's at least proficient, maybe even a master with Ataru. Pretty sure he also has some training in Soresu and possibly Niman.
Like the previous video of this season, I found this matchup to be much more interesting than I thought it would be initially. I also appreciate that these videos have been shorter than previous entries not that detail isn't essential, but, as you know, editing is a lifesaver when it comes to making videos and such. Can't wait to see more of this season and other content of yours. Also, I think and other fans of this channel would appreciate versus series that are out of the Star Wars realm, but that is entirely up to you and I think we all respect that. Godspeed!

Probably not. I interpret him as one of the permanent members of the Jedi Council (the others being Yoda, Mace Wind, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Plo Koon, and MAYBE Saesse Tiin) and thus him not being on the Council in episode 3 may imply him being killed in a similar event. Perhaps the bombing or an assassination. Or just old age if we wanted to be dull.

My comment will probably get lost in the other comments but I feel like Fisto would be able to fight against Oppo Rancisis and possibly best him in a similar manner to his defeat of General Grievous, like grievous, Oppo used randomization and unorthodox attack patterns, perfect for a master of Shii Cho to fight against. Just like Kit Fisto was able to not let his weakness against 1 opponent affect him during his fight with grievous, Fisto would do the same against Oppo Rancissis and best him.

A few things. First, in Legends, Dooku warns Grievous that he needs "fear, surprise, and intimidation" to defeat the Jedi - without these, he best retreat. In Labyrinth of Evil, Mace and Kit attack Grievous and his MagnaGuards, with Windu taking Grievous. Grievous observes Fisto quickly defeat his MagnaGuards. When Grievous later corners Palpatine's escort, he muses that if Palpatine was protected by Jedi of Fisto's caliber, Grievous might not have been successful. So in Legends, even before getting his organs crushed, because Grievous was no longer a mystery to the Jedi, he was not sure if he could defeat Kit Fisto in a fair fight.
PresidentWordSalad It also helps that Kit Fisto’s primary lightsaber form, Form I Shii-cho, was a perfect counter to Grievous’s own fighting style since Shii-cho practitioners particularly specialize in dealing with multiple opponents. Grievous may be a single warrior, but fighting him is usually like facing two or four opponents at the same time.

Request for one of the Forcecasts: You guys have spoken about your tier system of ranking combatants in the Clone Wars era, but why not go through the chronology and do similar things for popular characters of each time period? I think it would help to clear up a lot of things if there were some definitive reference, not just for the leadership of any era but also the other major characters that are brought up.
The very fact that Rancisis required a Vapaad user to resort to trickery and assassination to be defeated speaks volumes of how superior he is to Fisto in a frontal assault. I really like Kit Fisto, but he shoots himself in the foot by restraining his use of outward Force techniques, WHILE being a Jedi Consular. In my opinion, he is a Consular in name only, given his excessive focus on swordsmanship. His logic is also massively flawed, as it's actually much easier to end conflicts non-lethally with pure Force usage rather than with a fricking laser sword. Rancisis carries the title a lot better, embodying it in every single way. Not only in his variety and intensity of Force powers, but also in his mentality of always reaching out to the environemnt and manipulating the fight, tripping the enemy up so that a bout of raw power never happens. Awesome video, I always love ones with Consulars in them.
If Sora faced Oppo in single combat he'd win. Sometimes people tend to overlook the circumstances leading up to the assassination and make it out to be more than it was. Sora wasn't afraid of Oppo.

Don't have a lot on Leia but she is like top tier master, Scourge I know a bit more on and he is the better duelist+nice variety with force abilities. Leia is more a utility/support force abilities, Scourge is more combative.2. Don't know Lowabacca.3. Nihlus all the way. Force Drain would slaughter Galen.4. I know both characters pretty well but I honestly don't have a good answer for that one at all. Malgus is a heavy handed dualist and more experienced but Exile's force abilities are to much of a wild card for me to call.5 and 6: Don't know enough about them.7: If u mean Darth Sion then an immortal dark lord of the sith vs a jedi knight?? I'm sure Scion is someone else but idk who he is.8: Don't know enough about Karrid.

I'd love to see an anikin solo vs anikin Skywalker. Both young and aggressive both trying to find a moral anchor between there advanced power and there Jedi code, and of course the main two catalysts for Jason solos fall to the dark side
I don't believe Kit was all about restraint, I think it was only because in the TCW instance, Nahdar Vebb. Had already cut down a droid, and then proceeded to force push the droids body for no reason.
I have three questions to ask Evan. Which combatant has THE best chance to defeat GM Luke Skywalker (he is invincible) in a one on one match up? Have you considered using Revan again? Between Darth Bane and Darth Caedus, who wins in your opinion?

I see both Krayt and Bane holding a huge uphill battle but beaten in battered they barely win over Luke and Yoda. Since I believe Dark Transfer plus Force speeds playing a factor. But I will stress it depending upon who falls first and sadly I have to likely see Yoda falling out first unless Luke acts as a shield protecting him while Yoda gathers his strength for another wave. But in the end I see Yoda falling first than its perhaps turns to 2 on 1.
I'd be intrigued to see another Rule of Two book-ends battle, although it would need to be the Sith'ari Darth Bane taking on the chosen one encased in armour, Darth Vader. I'd be interested to see that

I think that your videos are great. I do think that you were a bit harsh on The Ones though. It took Luke and Krayt to beat her yes, but you could make this a outside the realm of Beyond the Shadows. Beyond the Shadows combat is very poorly defined, and a person like Tahiri Viela was able to kill a Abeloth. Any this is just food for thought. Besides that I agree with you 100%, being that the ones can create a volcano out of nowhere. Please do Ben Skywalker vs Asoka Tano

+Red_Emperor591 Hmmm, thats a tough one. In terms of overall combative ability, I do place Darth Malgus and Lady Lumiya very much on par. Malgus may be more overtly devastating, but he has no actual experience agents the LightWhip and his tactical tunnel vision is something I can see as working in Lumiya's favor due to her preference for Trakata style tactics and force illusions. It's tricky, very tricky.

Yeah I know right!!! I feel Depa Balliba is very under the radar kind of character so I figured who other than you to shed some light on this otherwise unknown character. Also I figured matching her up against Shaak Ti would be a very interesting fight since it would be a very different clash of styles.

There's not much information out there and I'd love to hear your thoughts It seems like the combination of lightsaber the force would make for a great fighter. Honestly, I think Oppo's tail would have been a disadvantage in a lightsaber duel since it provides a bigger target which you need to guard from attacks. Additionally you couldn't attack with it because if it got parried, the parry would simply cut it off.

A few things. First, in Legends, Dooku warns Grievous that he needs "fear, surprise, and intimidation" to defeat the Jedi - without these, he best retreat. In Labyrinth of Evil, Mace and Kit attack Grievous and his MagnaGuards, with Windu taking Grievous. Grievous observes Fisto quickly defeat his MagnaGuards. When Grievous later corners Palpatine's escort, he muses that if Palpatine was protected by Jedi of Fisto's caliber, Grievous might not have been successful.
So in Legends, even before getting his organs crushed, because Grievous was no longer a mystery to the Jedi, he was not sure if he could defeat Kit Fisto in a fair fight.

I thought the idea was novel since they are in the same league and it would be give me a chance to update my Kit Fisto breakdown will be helpful for.......reasons....:)

Request for one of the Forcecasts: You guys have spoken about your tier system of ranking combatants in the Clone Wars era, but why not go through the chronology and do similar things for popular characters of each time period? I think it would help to clear up a lot of things if there were some definitive reference, not just for the leadership of any era but also the other major characters that are brought up.

The very fact that Rancisis required a Vapaad user to resort to trickery and assassination to be defeated speaks volumes of how superior he is to Fisto in a frontal assault. I really like Kit Fisto, but he shoots himself in the foot by restraining his use of outward Force techniques, WHILE being a Jedi Consular. In my opinion, he is a Consular in name only, given his excessive focus on swordsmanship. His logic is also massively flawed, as it's actually much easier to end conflicts non-lethally with pure Force usage rather than with a fricking laser sword. Rancisis carries the title a lot better, embodying it in every single way. Not only in his variety and intensity of Force powers, but also in his mentality of always reaching out to the environemnt and manipulating the fight, tripping the enemy up so that a bout of raw power never happens. Awesome video, I always love ones with Consulars in them.
If Sora faced Oppo in single combat he'd win. Sometimes people tend to overlook the circumstances leading up to the assassination and make it out to be more than it was. Sora wasn't afraid of Oppo.

Don't have a lot on Leia but she is like top tier master, Scourge I know a bit more on and he is the better duelist+nice variety with force abilities. Leia is more a utility/support force abilities, Scourge is more combative.2. Don't know Lowabacca.3. Nihlus all the way. Force Drain would slaughter Galen.4. I know both characters pretty well but I honestly don't have a good answer for that one at all. Malgus is a heavy handed dualist and more experienced but Exile's force abilities are to much of a wild card for me to call.5 and 6: Don't know enough about them.7: If u mean Darth Sion then an immortal dark lord of the sith vs a jedi knight?? I'm sure Scion is someone else but idk who he is.8: Don't know enough about Karrid.

I don't believe Kit was all about restraint, I think it was only because in the TCW instance, Nahdar Vebb. Had already cut down a droid, and then proceeded to force push the droids body for no reason.

I'd say that Sidious has the best chance against Luke. I'd also say that Caedus is above Bane, though only slightly.

I can understand pitting Darth Krayt against Luke but why Jaina Solo? She is basically a tier 2 (tier 1.5 at best) combatant in my opinion.

I see both Krayt and Bane holding a huge uphill battle but beaten in battered they barely win over Luke and Yoda. Since I believe Dark Transfer plus Force speeds playing a factor. But I will stress it depending upon who falls first and sadly I have to likely see Yoda falling out first unless Luke acts as a shield protecting him while Yoda gathers his strength for another wave. But in the end I see Yoda falling first than its perhaps turns to 2 on 1.

I think that your videos are great. I do think that you were a bit harsh on The Ones though. It took Luke and Krayt to beat her yes, but you could make this a outside the realm of Beyond the Shadows. Beyond the Shadows combat is very poorly defined, and a person like Tahiri Viela was able to kill a Abeloth. Any this is just food for thought. +Red_Emperor591 Hmmm, thats a tough one. In terms of overall combative ability, I do place Darth Malgus and Lady Lumiya very much on par. Malgus may be more overtly devastating, but he has no actual experience agents the LightWhip and his tactical tunnel vision is something I can see as working in Lumiya's favor due to her preference for Trakata style tactics and force illusions. It's tricky, very tricky.

Honestly, I think Oppo's tail would have been a disadvantage in a lightsaber duel since it provides a bigger target which you need to guard from attacks. Additionally you couldn't attack with it because if it got parried, the parry would simply cut it off.
