The same with the Jedi presenting that multiple times that there were attempts to diplomatically end the war, it seems like both sides wanted to extend it and Palpy actively rejected any peaceful resolutions to end it or at least stall for both sides to cease fire and talk.
Because Palpatine didn’t actually want Padme dead. It was all a ploy to get the one person that him and his master tried to create alone away from the Jedi counsel. With all their emotion suppression also, can't clone troopers helm carry recording devices?
This is quite enjoyable and I appreciate the hard work that went into this video. IMO, there is just one possible flaw with your reasoning. Palpatine's plan hinged on provoking an aggressive and direct confrontation with the Jedi. Days pass between the time Palpatine reveals himself to Anakin and the Jedi bringing Maul and the separatists before the senate. I don't believe during that time that Palpatine would have done nothing. It would have been clear to him after, at most, a day that his ploy to provoke the Jedi had failed and he would have taken other measures. Palpatine is brilliant and has tremendous foresight.
I think that the Jedi would have also consulted some of the senators that they know they can trust, such as Padme and Bail Organa where they would have been able to be better prepared for some of the counter-arguments against Palpatine's charismatic persuasions.
Great insight! Unfortunately it was Anakin's fate to be loyal to Palpatine at that moment because of the prophesy and he being the chosen one. He was the one that was to kill Palpatine to destroy the Sith as it happened in the original timeline.
@@BIGESTblade Except Artoo was already a known enemy to the Empire during the time of ROTJ (especially having already been a wanted droid during ANH). He couldn't sneak into the Imperial Palace anywhere near as easily as he could have snuck into the Chancellor's office during ROTS (as he was clearly Anakin's droid at that time, and of course Palpatine was attempting to turn Anakin to the Dark Side).
I generally agree with you. Although I would change it slightly. I think the Jedi would have connected everything they knew about Sidious, Dooku, and the Sith and the Clones and figured out what was going on with the chips, they would have found out about the contingency orders and figured out how they could be used against the Sith. To that end, they decided to use a known friend of theirs Senator Padme to make their case before the senate and demand that the Chancellor be temporarily removed from the powers of his office until a trial could be held. This would prevent him from being able to execute Order 66. I see you also avoided discussing what would happen with Anakin. I think in the days following his revelation he would reveal the entire situation to Master Kenobi, and Kenobi as a friend and mentor would help him through it as things were going forward. Sensing Anakin letting go of his fear, the rest of the Council would recognize his path and that his great trial had been past. I think Anakin would have been made a Master. This would solidify his position within the light. The issue of his relationship with the Senator would be dealt with later. And I believe he would be permitted to attend the meeting with the Chancellor. Anakin's destiny was, in this timeline to destroy the Sith, and he would strike the final blow, not Yoda. And one more thing. I believe that the clones would have recorded their meeting with the Chancellor, via the clones, or with a hidden recorder, possibly broadcasting the entire conversation to Senators.
This is how your story with the jedi not knowing about the clones should have gone. All jedi were still dispersed with their clone units. All younglings were still at the temple when Yoda, Mace, Obi Wan and Anakin confronted Palpatine in his office. Palpatine knew he had the best light saber fighters against him. He did make one final plea to Anakin before he said his most famous words. "It's treason then." He called on his com link Execute Order 66, while the jedi flashed their sabers. He grinned and jumped out the window to escape. While the jedi had to look back and Yoda was the first one to decapitate their clone jailers. The jedi had a sudden alarm that they had to go back and protect the temple. So they fought their way through as clone commanders were walking their army pass the gates as one of the temple guards had betrayed the others. When the four main jedi came, there was a huge war going on inside the temple. They easily beat all the clones in front of them and turned the tide of the war. They were able to save the younglings and escape. Most of the older jedi were killed off, but all the younglings survived. With Mace, Obi Wan, Anakin, and Yoda in the lead, they went to a new location to rebuild their order as they now know that the Republic is now against them. End of story.
Didnt tcw show us that they can determine whoever is using a hologram? And dont we also know that nute gunrays chair had recordings of sideous on it? Not to mention ones from dooku, grevious, etc.
What is Obi-Wan got a call from Anakin during his fight with grievous and grievous heard Anakin say that palpatine is sidious causing them (Obi-Wan and grievous) to team up.
@@megavictor025 I agree that he wants to destroy the Jedi but I don't think he was aware that sidious and palpatine was the same. In the novel of the revenge of the sith he remarks why they kept palpatine alive.
Anakin - yo dude I need sus shit from papa palpatine dude knows the darkside . Yoda - yeah we’re fkd anakin dudes the senate . Anakin - aw come on man we’re smarter then this
If yoda stayed in coruscant, anakin would go to him not windu and yoda would arrest palpatine which would result in his death soon afterwards once his trial ends. Palpatine would not be able to escape this time nor change the battlefield and so yoda would defeat him as per canon
To this very day, I find it puzzeling, that it never occured to Anakin to talk to Padme about this. Not only is she his significant other, but she is also a seasoned politician. From all the people he should have asked for advise, it should have been her. Being a Jedi of incredible potential, all Anakin did was to ask people for advice that shared his very same worldview. Padme as a politician would've instantly realized the political implications and how Palpatine had manouvered himself into a position where the Jedi couldn't depose him using force.
He has to wait. His plan hinged on the fact that the jedi would act first, he'd then react and paint them as the traitors. If he impatiently struck out first, preemptively executing order 66 for example, his entire reputation would be destroyed and he'd be fighting everyone, everywhere. He may have won still, but he'd be rebuilding his base of power for decades. What I find more likely, is that he would have immediately recognized the game was up and after a confrontation where the Jedi couldn't have found concrete evidence of him being Sidious, covered his tracks completely, have Maul executed, offered money out of his own pockets to rebuild the war torn systems and effectively gotten away with it all, to fight another day. Palpatine is a very patient man. His spy network would have immediately told him the Jedi were making moves separating them from their clones and converging to Curosant, immediately alerting him to the fact that they knew about the chip and any clones that would face him, would never react to order 66. Effectively meaning that if he ever would have a direct confrontation with the Jedi, he would lay low. He wouldn't reveal himself, he wouldn't order the clones to do anything. He wouldn't show his lightsaber. He'd simply tell them they had nothing, their case against him hinged on the musings of a deranged murderer and that he would give up emergency powers and use his resources and connections to rebuild he would also actually do this. The Jedi would be all over him for a while, but he effectively returns to being Palpatine, the benevolent senator with all the connections and personal wealth, so he can tell the Jedi order to get all the way off his back, while he works tirelessly cutting ribbons at orphanages, goes to war torn planets and gets his hands dirty. What he does, is that he continues manipulating Anakin's dreams, until Anakin goes on a rampage. He'll use that rampage to severely limit the Jedi movements and put all attention on them being troubled war heroes that need to be admitted to the psych ward or something. At this point Ankin may have also grown too strong and mentally cripple Palpatine to the point where he basically dies while no one is any the wiser. Or he may at this point become more brazen, because he's been doing all this good work, while the Jedi just started killing innocent civilians, because they can't cope with the fact that the war is over. Jedi are placed under house arrest or something. Kamino is destroyed in some "unexplained terrorist plot" and the clones that had gone in to get their chips removed are swiftly taken care of. Now with the Jedi council mostly out of his way, for """some mysterious reason""" terrorists keep blowing up shit and lo and behold, Detective Palpatine is on the case, killing the terrorists. The Senate gives him some special powers, not quite the position of Emperor, but he has free reign at least. He'll go back to the drawing board and create another enemy and war in another decade or so. Doesn't matter, Palpatine has all the time in the Galaxy because he remained patiënt when it seemed like he was cornered and did not act out rashly
This only works if Obi-Wan doesn't report the death of General Grievous, which ended the war and was the signal to the Emperor that it was time for Order 66.
As much as I like this alternative ending, I still think that the plot device called Inhibitor Chips are still bullshit. In the Legends novels, the Clones were conditioned and drilled to follow every order, no matter what. And out in the field, the Jedi were the SO's. But when the Order 66 came from Palpatine, the Clones knew that Palpatine was above the Jedi in the rank, and given their conditioning, especially after witnessing their brothers being killed whenever not following an order, they followed the Order. Imo, it should have been stated that the Clones or Windu would have said something like "You are no longer in control, Senator" (since Palpatine agreed to step down after the ending of the war originally). "Clones, open fire." And I am willing to die on that hill, that the implimantation of the Inhibitor Chips, is on par with the 'fact' that the Force comes through the Midichlorians.
Anakin Skywalker should have told Padme about what palpy had said to him, he could have still been a jedi, if he never cut of Mace Windu hand he could of killed palpy
Wouldn't Palpatine have the Inquisitors by now to protect him in times of being cornered like this? Also, wouldn't the Jedi not further question Maul on Palpatine on how to prepare themselves against him?
I don't think the Inquisitor existed at the time, they were no Jedi recruited by Sidious, nor force sensitives pupils ready at the time. Maybe calling them wasn't even relevant, as Sidious looked confident enough. And I'm pretty sure the Jedi did question Maul, and prepared themselves for this fight. Maul was still hating Sidious at the time. He was trained a Sith and would act like one. Not necessarily hating the Jedi, since "The enemy of my enemy is my ally", but he would give advice of a Dark Side user, which Jedi most likely wouldn't listen, as they were using patience, temperance and careful decisions, unlike Sith trained warrior would.
What if Palpatine told everyone he was a Sith by the time of just before Revenge of the Sith? It wasn't illegal, and the confusion and inability to act would cloud the jedi even more Plus, Palpatine still had order 66 and could try an convince Anakin that not all Sith were evil Meanwhile the Jedi need to find evidence of Palpatine's actions as Sidious all the while knowing that a Sith Lord has control over pretty much everything, and they can't assasinate him or kill him because it would be murder of an innocent Maul and Dooku would be issues, but small ones to Palpatine
I've been saying this but the only way the Jedi can get out of this situation without killing Palpatine and doing it the legal way was to capture Nute Gunray.
Or, as an extra piece, have Anakin take over Sideous' get-a-way shuttle from Mas Amedda (Anakin, not allowed to be one of the Jedi to confront Sideous sees Amedda acting suspiciously for some reason and takes over shuttle) and be waiting for him when and if he jumps out window and Anakin takes him out unexpectedly as payback.
They 100% had the time. Democracy in the Republic is known as slow and difficult. The secrecy the Jedi were capable had gave them some time. If they had time to hide the Youglings, they had time to remove chips. Ashoka did it on Rex, with little to no understanding of it, on a simple Jedi cruiser. Imagine on a medical facility with experienced Kaminoans, medical personals, droids and the help of authority figures like higher up clone, Bounty Hunter Trainers..., enforced by Jedi, maybe Clone Force 99. In a calm controlled environment in which Palpatine had little to no control over, because it was Dooku's job to ensure the clone were not a problem. They had the time, and were probably not even in a rush.
Thanks!
Thanks for the help, man :) Glad you liked the video :)

it would also stand to reason that a result of all of this would bring a reform into the jedi's teaching. With all their emotion suppression
also, can't clone troopers helm carry recording devices?
What if anakin died in revenge of the sith and was reborn with his memories and appearance (but he starts as a newborn obviously)
Now that’ll be interesting. Would he be light or Darkside Vader or Anakin?
@@A23-y7u i think that he would want to kill the emperor and have his revenge on obi
35:40 *batman* I saw that!
I'm actually somewhat early for once, great video!
Great insight! Unfortunately it was Anakin's fate to be loyal to Palpatine at that moment because of the prophesy and he being the chosen one. He was the one that was to kill Palpatine to destroy the Sith as it happened in the original timeline.
I liked this a lot. Nice work!
What if Jedi realised Palpatine's trap but didn't have convincing evidence and were forced to coexist with the sith after the clone wars?
Artoo could download all of Palpatine's communication records with ease. There's lots of incriminating evidence there.
@@dionr1168 Were it so easy, all those Bothan spies wouldn't have had to die.
@@BIGESTblade Except Artoo was already a known enemy to the Empire during the time of ROTJ (especially having already been a wanted droid during ANH). Disney need to do some Star Wars what if in the style of marvels what if
Oh and one more thing as icing on the cake. The Grand Inquisitor is now Darth Sidios new apprentice leading all clones to fight the jedi. 😉
12:42 the question remains, what about the droid attack on the wookies?
*yoda turns his com off*
Yoda tells Commander Jet to execute order 66 anyway
i like how you dont go with the usual fanstory stuff making anakin seem like a god in your videos and pay attention to alot more canon details!
I feel like if the Jedi had decided to let the Bad Batch accompany them to Palpatine’s office as well, that would have been an awesome touch 🔥
100% this crossed my mind multiple times while debating with myself. Pretty sure they had a Great Role in deinhibiting the clones on Kamino
It's like the worse Hollywood gets, the better the TH-cams gets. Liked and subscribed
That has no sense, griveus knew that palpatine is the sith lord, the unique griveus motivation is to destroy the jedi
Anakin - aw come on man we’re smarter then this
Good what if's as always
If yoda stayed in coruscant, anakin would go to him not windu and yoda would arrest palpatine which would result in his death soon afterwards once his trial ends. Palpatine would not be able to escape this time nor change the battlefield and so yoda would defeat him as per canon
Excellent alternate history, but I think Palpatine would have sensed early on if the Jedi were on to him
Thats why you set to stun. The circular beam is harder to deflect.
Within human speed genuinely comes across as dead slow... I know it's inhuman speed you intended but the subtitle took it as within
Yea the subs get wonkey sometimes:/
I like to imagine that palpetine gave anakin his visions in his dreams with his dark side mind manipulation powers dx.
I just want to say this is some great writing I love it very detailed. And would have been a cool ending to see happen in the said alternate time-line
pretty sure palpatine would’ve had a better plan than wait for the jedis to arrest him since here he has way more time to prepare
Damn this is good!
"It took all 4 of you to take me down?" Sidious left the game
What if every single jedi turned to the dark side except Anakin
Having someone as strong on offense already in Mace and then Force Manipulation in Yoda....itd be like he was little Annie again lol
I think the only problem with this very well written fiction is that there's no way Sidious would just wait for the Jedi to act once he told Anakin
One of your best!
Mace Windu... overlooking the window escape route. He just can't escape it, can he? LOL
"If it black it wears push it down the stairs"
Grandmaster Yoda probably
The amount of "There's something I need to tell you" makes this hard to take seriously.
This only works if Obi-Wan doesn't report the death of General Grievous, which ended the war and was the signal to the Emperor that it was time for Order 66.
Ah, the "Jedi Masters + Anakin Council"!
Such a stable as heck institution ;)
great video
Take a seat, you must. A master you are not.
"and batman would remain alive and well" how sneaky of you lol
My brain has come up with like 4 different accents in your voice
"Clones, open fire."
And I am willing to die on that hill, that the implimantation of the Inhibitor Chips, is on par with the 'fact' that the Force comes through the Midichlorians.
Yeah, I prefer the "they were only following orders" thing.
Anakin Skywalker should have told Padme about what palpy had said to him, he could have still been a jedi, if he never cut of Mace Windu hand he could of killed palpy
I liked this what-if scenario well done
It wasn't illegal, and the confusion and inability to act would cloud the jedi even more
Plus, Palpatine still had order 66 and could try an convince Anakin that not all Sith were evil
Meanwhile the Jedi need to find evidence of Palpatine's actions as Sidious all the while knowing that a Sith Lord has control over pretty much everything, and they can't assasinate him or kill him because it would be murder of an innocent
Maul and Dooku would be issues, but small ones to Palpatine
I've been saying this but the only way the Jedi can get out of this situation without killing Palpatine and doing it the legal way was to capture Nute Gunray.
Really goes to show how much of a risk Palpatine took to depend on Anakin to make the right decision and join the dark side in terms of his grand plan
What I was expecting was that when the Jedi Masters met Chancellor Palpatine, several senators would also be in attendance as witnesses/mediators.
Yoda speaks in OSV for emphasis on his words, if he needs to be quick he’ll use SVO. After the subject, the verb always is.
Ki-Adi-Mundi: "What about the droid attack on the Wookies?"
What if Anakin told Ahsoka first about palpatine being sidious?
No way they would have time to get that many chips removed
