When shooting 1911s keep your thumb up on the safety pushing down, not always possible for everyone but that's how I learned and it can even help with controlling the firearm under recoil. It's not as intuitive if you learned on a modern striker fired handguns but someone who grew up shooting 1911s will mostly be riding the safety down while firing and might not even notice(like myself) that's also how I teach my friends to shoot 1911s. Thank you for the good reviews!🤘😎🤘
Fantastic info. Thanks for such a complete look at both!
Good quality review. Personally I like the information boxes what appear to compare both pads. Liked!
I replaced the pump sack that came with the Big Agnes with the Big Agnes Pumphouse. So much easier to inflate the pad.
These videos are always appreciated, I spent way more then 20k while learning, I could go back and buy everything sparing no expence and it would be 2-4000. at least 15000 wasted money on crap I gave away mostly, and then I discovered these videos where people share info. my advise to people is to spend a little exta and get the good stuff. a lot of my double buying products was upgrading products when I was disappointed in them. I have the tensor and the uberlight. luckily the nemo comes with my name on it lol
really great in-depth review of both very interesting pads. thanks a lot
Glad you liked it!
Thorough review. Thanks for your thoughts. Some people use clear nail polish under the pad by placing dots sporadically to cause friction to restrict the sliding
Great tip. Thank you for sharing
thank you this very helpful
You're welcome!
Thank you

You should test the wide versions of these pads. The wide version changes the feeling of the big Agnes pad.
I 100% agree on that! Size changes the variables. Anyway, this video was extremely helpful. I ordered Nemo Large but now I'm going to order Agnes Large too, and make a side by side comparison.
Thanks for the tip. Will consider that for future reviews and comparisons.
@@TheAdventureJunkies ten months ago was mid 2022 didn’t Nemo put out the updated 4.2 pad in early 2022?
is this also for people who are 115kg ?
I have both of these pads and I don’t see where the $100+ difference comes from. I love the q-core because the sides are taller so when your arms fall to the side, they have a pad to meet them. That’s a huge deal for a bigger guy. I’m 220lbs so I have the wide versions of both. My arms touch ground when using the Nemo. I really want to use my $$$ Nemo but man… the qcore is so comfy.
The weights for big agnes is everywhere. Their website claims lighter. But REI and you tell us different. What is the actual weight?
Helpful, thanks!
Totally unrelated, I wonder what brand those sandals are?
I'm fairly certain they are Bedrocks. Luna has similar ones, in my opinion they look better but i think the Bedrocks sitta better on the foot.
@@sunesnigel Thanks!
Do you have the newest Nemo Tensor? They come as "insulated" and "non-insulated" The new insulated Tensor has a 4.2 R value. The new "non-insulated" Tensor has a 2.5 R value.
Great point. We did use the 2021 version for this video. We'll be looking at the new 2022 version for future videos. Thanks!
I believe the Big Agnes inflating sack works without spitting in it - the nemo‘s of course does not fill as its opening is too small🤔🤷♂️ - what a surprise a pad with bigger volume / thickness needs more inflation😈
Not really fair to compare the inflation sacks that way; the Nemo sack looks at least half again the size of the Big Agnes. Of course it's going to need fewer cycles...
Good point. How do you suggest we could compare them?
@@TheAdventureJunkies About all I can think of to do is recognize the difference in volume as well material. The Big Agnes inflation sack is a thicker/more rigid material, and that probably does influence how easy it is to fill the sack -- but the volume is a bigger factor in how many pump cycles it takes.
I have the BA. I like the pad but the pump sack is terrible (and it weighs more than a battery powered micropump).
Price matters. Did you fall for the name? Big Agnes is a better buy all around.
It really depends on how important the price difference is for every person. For some, it might be worth it. For other, it's not.
Nemo is complete garbage and do not honour their warranties.
Terrible review smh
How so? What would you do differently?
