No igniter is a plus, they are too unreliable.
thanks
i have them now for two years, I hike maybe once per two months, so not many miles on them, never had any problem until i used them first time on a snow. They let the show in quite fast, maybe one h on snow. It was not a deep show. I will try to use something to spray on them. The grip is phenomenal on all surfaces! mud/snow/wet rocks. i really love them, i use them on light trails, heavy trails and some easy climbing that i do-never had a problem until now
“Simmerability”? Hell No. Sorry my bad. HellNoAbility.
Great informative video. Could this be used in the snow? Winter? I’d be worried that ones feet would be cold? Better for spring / summer?
Is there a Trans Gender pad ….
For me fuel consumption is big thing, so the one that "only" boils 10L may seem not a good deal just looking at fuel consumption. Because it empties the canister much faster it must have a much higher output. A higher output can actually save fuel when it's really cold and the pot cools down from the outdoor temps. Then low output burners may not be able to keep up. Strangely that higher output isn't reflected in the boiling times. Could be the pot insulation, size and shape. One did some tests myself and the most fuel efficient is a nearly full pot.
At 7:15 you say Zip lasts 33 mins. On 7:43 you say zip will boil 10L. But according to the table those it's the flash that does 10L and is empty after 33 minutes. Which one is correct?
I’m currently rockin a pair of Salmon boots gifted to me . Gave me a blister breaking them in but now they are the best boot I’ve ever had . Light weight , waterproof up to the ankle and better yet, in the morning I can put both feet in the boot with laces undone without touching them with my hand standing . A fast fitting on the go type boot . Very convenient and comfortable. Outstanding design
Should have started with BOTH identically Sized, Brands & with Full Canisters
That lace eyelet he's having trouble with is a line lock. It works as designed to allowing you to have the upper lace tight and lower loose or vica versa or all tight or loose. Have felt any slippage in wet anything. Contigrip is pretty awesome. It's not C4 Stealth or Continental but it last longer of course. Like most Salomon, excellent boot that just needs a real insole like a Form Moldable or I guess Superfeet if you like those.
Wouldnt use a liquid fuel stove on dry tinder in the wind good way to cause a big problem
Is your boyfriend named Jerry? LMFAO! Dude, lay off of the estrogen.
Why you don't recommend this boots for city walking? And what do you recommend for city?
This was helpful but it would be awesome to see how it's done step by step
Word to the wise Taking aspen to burn to white ash and mixing said ash put the aspen which contains sodium hydroxide which is acidic enough to clean when mixed with 1 parts water to 3 parts ash to create a soap that will strip soot And use water to wash off burn container *Edit* up in Alaska the snow is creeping down the mountian and the winds in the Matanuska valley they are around 50 to 70 miles an hour No need for the fan We do have pine here hardly any hard woods if any in Alaska So fat wood. (Wood found at the base of the tree's trunk when a pine is known to hold much sap so chipingsmall chunks for the fire starting makes simple with only a few chunks no need to truely harm the trunk to have enough to ensure a fire will catch even in the extreme wind condition Yet black spruce (pine) is everywhere here This device is the best option for a small / incognito camp at Alaska keeping the garmin in reach and the starlink charged constantly is a must when out here in rual / remote area love this peice of kit
Need wide option for us side sleepers!
They are the same regardless of tiny differences. This is not competition.
Not a bad video thank you for sharing it with us. I spoke about blowing straight into an air mat, something I have been doing myself for years (well before pump sacks). So, my old Thermapad will have mould in it! In your demo, you blew/breathed into the pump sack bag, surely you shouldn't.
Much agreed with most points. They fit a little larger and wider than most 14s for me, but in a good way, and the lacing system still keeps my foot in place. I think because of the way the tongue, gusset, and heel lock-in strap are designed, I can wear them with a thin sock comfortably but the tongue/gusset seem to allow them to expand for me to wear a thick sock as well.
This guy is the best product reviewer!
The charging is very very bad. It barely produces mores than what it needs to run the fan. Forget about using it for phone charging
This is NOT a backpacking stove at that weight
How does certain stitching keep the weight down. Yiu do not know what you are on about.they do not need breaking in. Aand its not "eeeva" midsole. Its e,v,a. Its actyally a harder more durable sole thats why adidas used continental tyre company to make the sole.all terrex are slim fim abd you never need to size down.creator has no clue
She has no clue.for example the soles are made by continental (tyre company) due to haed wearing ect ect.they ar slim fit and allways true to fit. I think youve bought and tested a fake pair. They look like copies
Water resistant.not water proof

Hi There! Do you happen to know a way to soften a new overly stiff rope? Its so stiff that a blakes hitch won't hold .

my biggest issue is walking through wet tall grass and having a soaked foot even though the boot is supposed to be "waterproof"

Does the mo burner fit into the zip ?
Probably will, I know the pots are all interchangeable

Good review. I’m a 64 year old with a springer spaniel dog. I also had a quadriceps knee tendon snap and repaired a year ago - I can walk but my right knee is still a bit weak. I am on my second pair of these boots (in 4 years). I walk 3-5 miles every day, mostly in woodland trails which have been EXTREMELY wet and muddy this past year. Now I confess I clean off the heavy mud after a walk, but otherwise do the boots no favours at all! Now, I have found both previous pairs comfy right out of the box - no running in needed. Even with my knee I find the stability in all conditions superb, I don’t find them heavy, and great grip even in 5inches of mud and water. However, I am debating what boots to buy next, and this is because the gore tex fabric around the toe box starts to leak after 2 years. Is this because I don’t dry them I wonder? May be my fault. So I’m off to the stores tomorrow to try various options, but because these are so comfy I’ll probably buy another pair! The waterproofing is an issue (no, it’s not water wicking down my socks into the boot (tested). I walked through some puddles today, and the toe box area was very damp when I got back to the car. Probably if you properly dry them in between hikes, they may be ok!

Superb review. I was able to form a complete opinion after this one video! Thanx!

Good Video. A long time ago a friend and I went to over 10,000 foot elevation in Colorado to hunt. We didn't check the weather for-cast ahead of time. We got a foot of snow the first night and the temperature dropped to 20 degrees below zero. We had a butane cooking stove. We had done just about everything wrong.
Just got an Neoair for $99!!!! That’s a steal!
Neoair is for most campers. Xtherm is definitely overkill, unless you’re camping in the snow. Other than that save yourself a few bucks and go with the air.
the best light weight hikers I've ever owned EXECPT they need Vibram soles as they are slippery on wet rock
Why don’t they put an igniter on the Windburner?!?!?!? Does anyone know anyone that has modified an igniter on the windburner?
