  • Here is a yoga video specifically for toning and strengthening the pelvic floor (otherwise known as the pelvic diaphragm). Keeping the pelvic floor toned yet relaxed helps create stability and balance in the pelvis and, subsequently, the rest of the body.
This standing yoga sequence is created to be safe for those suffering from pelvic prolapse of any kind and can help build stability around the pelvic and bladder area to repair prolapse and reduce incontinence. If you suffer from a weak pelvic floor, prolapse and/or incontinence, then these yoga exercises can really help tone the pelvic floor while reducing pelvic tension through practising in a relaxed way.
All of these yoga exercises are in the standing position (no sitting or lying down in this video) and can be practised with a chair or wall nearby to assist with balance. The main movements we flow through are standing mountain posture (Tadasana), a gentle balance with breath and arm movements on tip-toes, 'scooping' pelvic tilts standing and in chair posture (high squat), and a gentle tree posture with arm movements (including a block) and, of course, the breath!

These are yoga exercises for incontinence and weak bladder, yoga for urine incontinence and bladder incontinence. You get the jist!

Nice flow! It's good for me because it addresses my balance problems (thank you!) and it's always good to go back to basics, as it were.
