ARS is a great Southern Rock band. A little more mellow than some. The Ballad of Lois Malone, Champagne Jam, I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight, etc. All worthy of your time.

The smoothest Southern Rock band in my opinion. Like bands at the time, Dr. Hook, Pablo Cruise, Player, Exile, and others they had the ability to crossover and appeal to audiences they or their label may not have realized they could reach.

I was in high school at the time and other than The Midnight Special you didn't get many chances to see a band live outside of a concert. It was always a thrill to finally see a band live who's albums and/or 8 tracks you had practically worn out.

I was born in Atlanta in the 70’s and my parents were so into this band. My father was also apart of a recording band in ATL called Cotton, during this time and opening up for lots of 70’s funky type recording artists during this time. He was actually opening up for Fats Domino the night I was born. But my parents LOVED Atlanta Rhythm Section the most. I probably heard them when I was in the womb. Also, Allman Brothers. I know they saw them when I was in the womb. These two bands were the favorites in ATL back on the day.

Will never forget seeing them live close to 45 years ago. It was in 1978, the initial Champaign jam at the then Grant Field in downtown Atlanta. It was just after they released the album of the same name. Bought two $13.50 general admission tickets. It was our second date with my now wife of 43 years. A.R.S. as they were referred to, was the headline band along with The Doobie Brothers, Santana, Mothers Finest, Mose Jones and Eddie Money. I remember it was a hot day in early September. We sat in the grass in the field on a blanket, when we were not standing. Little did we realize at the time that most of those bands would be legendary. Probably the best concert we ever attended.

So many good songs by this group. "Georgia Rhythm" will definitely get Amber chair dancing.

ARS as a group have never gotten the credit they deserve. They remain a vastly underrated band. Happy to see you reacting to one of their best songs!

Such great “vibe” band. We used to get high and just sit back and mellow out to them. Such great times and memories from this times. ❤

I never get third of this song! It is my favourite of all their hits and by far their most widely known hit. A mega hit Soft Rock single by this Southern Rock band.

This is one of those songs that takes me back to a very specific moment in time -- on the bus going back home after a class trip to NYC. It was in such heavy rotation we must have heard it a dozen times. I went out and bought the 45 as soon as I could.

I spent the entire pandemic begging all my favorite reactors to listen to "I'm Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight." Maybe you'll be the ones to finally hear me ask? It is the perfect upbeat song about how to keep your head about you when the world is going to hell around you.

Growing up an hour north of Atlanta, ARS was always one of my favorite groups in high school (behind the Bee Gees, of course 😉). Thanks for playing the great 70’s music, especially this one!

Ronnie Hammond, lead singer graduated from my High School. His brother was my Next-door neighbor at my first apartment and I worked with Ronnie’s wife. Plus loved their music. Especially Ronnie’s voice.
