That solo piece is stuck in my head from past 10 days, it is so addictive. Some notes feels like they were meant to be placed during a certain rhythmic point where no other notes will fit.
'76 - Bicentennial year. Brings back so much memory. I had a paper route back then. Still remember listening to this song on an AM radio on my bike early in the morning throwing papers on people's porches.
Wow! I was not aware of Barry's passing! 😿 I've been listening to this song every day for the past several months, specifically because of his guitar playing! Thank you for the awesome tribute! RIP to a true talent 🎸🕊
Great job on this Barry Bailey classic....My fave version is from the Old Grey Whistle Test...76?...it's here on TH-cam with the live vocals and everything.
Do you know what amps Barry used? I suspect it was Marshalls but not sure what model. I saw them back in the 70s and for whatever reason never paid much attention. I know he used that gold minibucker Deluxe.
I have seen him playing thru Marshall Plexis but I have also seen him playing thru Marshall looking heads with no logos on them at all. His band mates used a lot of Ampeg amps.
The music of my younger years, nothing today even comes close.
Barry Bailey Had a very unique style I think he was very underrated guitar player . Amazing guitarist ! RIP
RIP Barry Bailey...one of the all time great guitarists. It was all about the music with him the way it should be..not for show
I am a kid from Doraville, Barry Bailey was a cool cat
Awesome song awesome group. 16 year old memories

He was an awesome guitarist R.I.P barry bailey.
Rest in peace Mr. Bailey. Thank you for your contribution.
Never was there a better lead. My favourite of all time. Thank you Barry Bailey.

First show ever saw and best show ever saw
His playing was absolutely fantastic!

Oooo I really wanted to hear the lead outro. So awesome. Good work. Brings this old man some misty eyes.

Excellent
Awesome! Im a huge barry bailey fan. Good job man
Que lindo suena porla puta madre!
ARS was Ronnie Hammond on vocals, and Mr. Barry Bailey on lead guitar. Don't be fooled by Rodney justo and the want a bees.

@@andym328 Thanks, I've also seen that "no name" looking Marshall amp before. I think JR Cobb used a Fedner Super Reverb at one point.
He used a Les Paul straight into a Marshall head. No pedals. That guitar was given to Jason, his tech after he passed.
Did Barry pass on? So sad to hear that.
Barry Bailey died March 12, 2022, at his home in Madison, Georgia, from complications of multiple sclerosis. He was 73.
@@andym328 Thanks, He was the real deal. A true guitar slinger.
So sorry He was the real deal
Wow I didn't see any write ups. Great band. 👍 RIP
Barry was the man !!!!! Many historic licks rolled off his fingers.
LRB would have got some of their ideas from ARS ….
