ZL1 1LE vs GT350R vs GT3 at WeatherTech Laguna Seca

  • Fun session at Laguna Seca in our GT350R going at it with a ZLE and 911 GT3 for a few laps. Enjoy the action, this one had endurance racing vibes with the cars being so close together, you start noticing the effects of car weights and tires temperatures affect overall grip in prolonged periods of time as well as drivers' focus.
I hope this video answers some of your most popular questions about the GT350R and ZLE comparisons. Not many people out there compare these beast machines out on track where they belong. We hope to provide you that and more.

One of the best amateur trackday videos I have seen. Three well matched cars, but you were the best driver of the bunch. The 350R has to be the greatest 70K track tool ever. Well done. That Porsche Cup car simply shows how crazy fast factory built cars are. Well done fella..

Thank you! I really enjoyed that session! The 350R really invokes the emotions! I think it's one of the all time greats for on track joy! 1LE and GT3 are also one of the all time greats so that was a pleasure!

@@leggoracing8451 I had a 350R and sold it. I was used to driving GT3’s and RS’s. I couldn’t get past the size and weight and build quality, so I sold it. I sort of regret it. I now have a 2011 GT3RS 997.2 Gen. It’s quite the car but it’s value has gotten so high it doesn’t make sense to track it. So I am in a conundrum..

@@ACMEpowersports Hi Michael being that you have driven and been around these cars how do you find the power of the GT350's and 1LE compared to a base 991.1 GT3? I have driven the GT3 and honestly the power is not that impressive nor is the sound. You really have to get above 7k to feel any kind of poke and the exhaust is so quiet almost disappointing. Those other cars seem to deliver in other ways.

Thank you! I still have to tell myself to snap out of ghost following the car in front sometimes. With no traffic it's easier to focus on your line and reference points.
Can't really go wrong with those track options. You will have a great time at any one of those. I'd say go with the one closest to you. Laguna Seca has an annoying 92db sound limit. A few days in the year they raise it to 103 and that's when I take the R there without blowing sound lol.
