They changed the Zander life insurance commercial. I'm so thankful. I hated the old one. I have insurance, but that old commercial made me want to defy them. This new one is compassionate and makes me want to get insurance.
17:03 George Kamel with a banger of a quote “don’t combine in life before you’re aligned in life“
I love these two together! George seems to get such a kick out of Ken, so fun!
To Dan from Gettysburg, if you happen to be reading comments, let me please offer advice based on my prior experience living in a condo. Our neighbor's cooking smell entered our bedroom since his kitchen and our bedroom were next to each other. The smell was pretty intrusive honestly, borderline gross and disrupted an otherwise peaceful place to live. Another persons smell seems trivial until it happens to you then you discover how bad it can be for your daily life. So I understand this lady's complaints, although I do not agree with the way she is handeling it. Luckily, this problem can most likely be fixed with a $15 tube of caulk. The smell is most likely leaking through the outlets between your shared wall. Have the owner remove the outlet covers and caulk around the fixture and the back of the fixture where the wires enter. We only had to caulk our side to eliminate the problem completely since it's some type of low pressure difference between the rooms that pushes the air. The landlord could do both sides for you at minimal cost. The second the smell goes away for her, she will immediately be easier to live next to and your life will be better too. You might have other issues with her, but that's a different story. I hope this helps. Much love.
First call 😂😂😂😂😂. Im with you Ken.
What about inviting the old woman In the duplex over for dinner? Let her see that it’s just you two living life. I think she is lonely. Maybe make it once a month. If she has something to look forward to with you, maybe she’ll look forward to it and stop complaining.

That's the first debt-free scream I've seen without Dave hosting. I love that the other Ramsey personalities are getting the opportunity to host that experience! So proud of y'all!
Congratulations Steve and Julie and family!
Great advice Jade gave the caller that had the fight with his father so that he won't keep going into that vicious circle with his father.
The new Zander ad is less shaming
Way to go Madison! Thanks for choosing nursing; it has been a great career.
I agree with Ken! 2nd or 3rd date you need to talk money & core values. Otherwise you may fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy like the caller did.
Geez Ken! “Stare the old lady down”haha viscous ! What a fun side to see of ken !
A fair debt collection act! 🙌
Hello Ken and George!
Thanks for being awesome!
Gil (Your Salvadoran Disciple) :)
You combined your life before you even aligned your life ... Gold. I would also say he sounded way too intense and I think George's advice was perfect. ❤❤❤
Dan from PA with the crazy old lady neighbor. Keep cooking and doing your thing. If she wants to get loud at night, ear plugs my man. They really work !!
My favorite duo!!
The ones commenting on the call with the guy and the dad saying he’s lying have clearly never ridden along with, been on, or even been around a 5150 call. They will absolutely take ANYONE that another person says is a threat to themselves or others. They don’t ask the person because that is not their line of expertise. They absolutely do ID them, take them to the hospital and the hospital determines if they need help or not. It is not the LEO job, nor are they even allowed to make that call.
Ok, but that doesn't mean its right. You cant just violate someone's rights.
I don’t think anyone is questioning whether it is right or not.
I am a land lord and bad tenants are almost impossible to evict because other tenants move instead of helping us get them out. Please record what she does and make complaint to the local police non emergency. Then the land lord can try to get them out.
Quote because other tenants move and it's impossible to get the bad tenants out
So basically I'm curious if you are stating that in order to get out the bad tenants you have good attendance that are nearby or close physically and proximity to those bad tenants who are trying who don't want to move out that you need the good tennis to service witnesses? Otherwise I don't understand that part of your comment and thus it doesn't make sense to me yet
@@motoryzenYou need to proofread your post. 😂
@@katherinetyrrell8810 " bad tenants are almost impossible to evict because other tenants move instead of helping us get them out. "
You need to practice what you preach ( facepalms). How many times must I quote YOUR exact words?
Get an attention span already..
Bad tenant calls cops so good tenant calls landlord to complain about bad tenant.
The landlord can’t evict bad tenant for calling police because they have a right to call police.
But if the good tenant call police and reports the harassment the landlord can show in court that the bad tenant is bad.
@valerieojeda4181 see..how difficult was that? .. sorry but your original comment could havw been interpreted in more than one way
Tim, talk to a lawyer. That is illegal and a waste of medical resources. Offer your dad (through the lawyer) to settle out of court. Otherwise, you’re telling your dad what he did was ok and he won. He should at the least, have to pay what the deductible or copay would have been.
No deductible or co-pay b/c Tim did not have insurance (bad decision on his part.) Nope, he is not telling his Dad what he did was o.k. He is learning the life lesson that one should never go without health insurance - ever. BTW - fishy story. Doubting it happened like he said.
Any chance of being kind to the other tennant? Maybe take her over a serving of the chicken and noodles? Ask for her recipe, perhaps? Maybe airing out the kitchen when you're cooking would help too.
Someone choosing peace....😮 what a novel idea
She could have dementia.
Buy the house outright. Invest all the interest you would have paid on the house or invest the mortgage payment 'proposed'.. You win...period.
Jade and George telling Tim to pay the hospital bill of 14k is wrong. His dad should pay it. Stand up to bullies or they will keep bullying.
exactly
they need to take this to Judge Judy!
His dad is not going to pay it. Based on his actions and also the fact that he said he was not going to. So now what?
He has the money to pay it. Why waste time and energy on a losing battle?
And he knows to keep health insurance going while Daddy-dearest is still living…
To the caller at 43 minutes, dealing with family. If sue to my hearts content
Hospital will do absolutely anything to rack up your bill. When my wife was in labor with my son 3 years ago they pulled out an oxygen mask and hooked her up to oxygen. I think something is wrong, but they told me she doesn't really need it they just have to write down the took action in between each contraction. So they had her on Oxygen for like 3 mins and charged us 200ish for absolutely no reason.
It’s possible her oxygen had decreased from 100 to 93 (example) and technically she didn’t need it but they were seeing that it was decreasing and were trying to avoid it getting to the 80s. Just a thought.
@@nathalieisneon no they told us the only reason they did it was because the head nurse was on shift that day and she was a stickler about recording and action after each contraction.
@@mattTHEEgreatIf that is true, I would fight the charge. My doctor ordered me into a single room after the birth of my son because my roommate had LOTS of visitors and I was having migraines because I hadn't slept in almost 30 hours. I was charged a $250 differential for 2 days. I called and explained it to billing and they refunded $500.
Why do you think hospitals and medical care has become the way it has? Because of all the litigation - do EVERYTHING, even what's not really needed - to protect yourself is the way they have to operate these days.
I totally disagree with the advice given to Tim from CA whose father called in a bogus call to the police. I'd sue the old man just on principle alone !! Well worth the expense of a lawyer to spike the ball back in his fathers court. Yeah bud, relationship over....go find yourself another Son.
How is a single mother of 2 survive on $55k in LA?
I'm single and going paycheck to paycheck at the same amount.
Bless her!
Bless someone who has made poor decisions? No, I don't think so. Unless a death occurred, single mothers are in that situation because they chose poorly for a parent for their child - and there are LOTS of options to raise monthly income and/or move to somewhere less expensive. A series of bad decisions and overspending has put her in this spot.
@@Trustbutverify2651Liz changed her name but I knew this was her instantly. She hates single moms and women in general. Her poor in law children
@@OopThereItIs77777 I don't hate single moms. I say they are living the results of their choices which is something quite different from hate (a strong work, BTW). And I certainly don't hate women - I am one, have two daughters, and work with women. I changed my handle because I wanted it to be the same as the one I use for other TH-cam videos. I have never tried to hide anything and I am sure most people who comment realize it was me as I write lengthy comments (usually with a lot of upvotes.) Maybe you should stop practicing your favorite sport - jumping to conclusions about someone you've never met. Women have every opportunity that men have now for education and earning a good living. The signs of the character of someone are ALWAYS there for someone who is looking. Many women continue to make the same mistakes - not making sure they can take care of themselves financially since sometime in their lives they will likely need to do so, hooking up with a man or marrying him thinking they can change him, "finding" themselves pregnant, and relying on their feminine wiles rather than their brain to make good decisions. Calamity does happen unexpectedly, but by and large we are all the result of our own CHOICES. We are not victims of chance!
If the cops force commit you to a hospital, due to a false police report. I don't think the bill should be on you, that goes to the state or the reporter, but I guess it would go to you so my opinion doesn't matter. I would sue and press charges for a false police report. I would also attempt to sue the police for a false arrest, they need more than an unsubstantiated call ... yeah no, not letting that go. I would have everyone involved for everything I could get. I would get the restraining order. I would get a civil rights lawyer to go after the police and hospital. Especially if you live in a state that no longer considers un-a-living yourself a crime.
Honestly I think the case against his dad is a easy one, a lawyer would do it on contingency, and likely work with the hospital on reducing the bill, other than signing the contract with the lawyer shouldn't be any more stress in his life. Best outcome the dad is in jail, bills are paid for, and he now owns the business.
Ken your the best “do the garlic, drive the ol’ lady out”😅this woman sounds like a typical old nasty neighbor with nothing better to do. Some of these older tenants shouldn’t be living alone and need to be in a care home.
I agree
I was wondering if she’s just lonely.
@@kw3113maybe they should take her a dish!
George!
In regards to neighbor issues its not so easy it seems to have someone evicted. I went through a similar situation because of a noise complaint and the police were at my door so many times at 3am in the morning. Every time I was sleeping and even sometimes was not even there. Each incident was documented and even that was not good enough for eviction. We went to mediation and even that did not solve the issue. We eventually moved to a different apartment and can you believe that about 6 months later she found out where we had moved too and called the cops! The complaint this time was that we were knocking on her door and running away. Long story short she was evicted but this took over a year. We documented everything, went to mediation, and shared every incident with the landlord. What did it in the end was that police took her to the hospital for an evaluation because they did not believe she was stable.
Time for Dan to cook some curry!
Can someone please explain the divorce call at 54:10 ?
To me it sounds like shes taking advantage of her soon to be ex but Jade and George dont seem to act like she is.
First she says they are talking about splitting assests 50/50 then the ex is also talking about taking on the debt. On top of that shes getting spousal support, but still believes shes entitled to more?
Then says hes abusive.
But shes working with him on this?
It doesn't seem to add up. Personally it sounds like shes trying to screw over her ex.
Can anyone make it make sense please?
Doesn't make sense and the RS people ALWAYS take the side of the woman. She's 52 and has CHOSEN to be a SAHM after her kids were old enough for her to get employment. No retirement and no social security - all HER choices. In my opinion, she deserves nothing more than half of any assets (and not really even that.) And, BTW, I'm a woman. Women need to learn to take care of themselves financially and not put everything on a husband. It's 2024, not 1950. No sympathy for her - she didn't even work part-time!
She’ll get social security if they were married for at least ten years. It may only be half of his, but he was likely maxed out for several years so it’ll be a decent amount.
I don’t know if it works like this, but the social security tax limit is something like $160,000, so her benefit could be the same as someone who earned $80,000.
The guy whose dad sent you to the hospital... You should pay it and then sue. Don't wait to pay the debt because it wasnt your fault. Unfortunately you currently owe the money, pay it and then sue your Dad.
To the guy who has the issues with your dad, DO NOT PAY THE MEDICAL BILL! Get a good lawyer and sue the hell out of him. He should be paying the bill and all of your legal fees. The relationship is done either way. He should get justice for his actions. He is a criminal. You shouldn't be paying a single dime. If you do it would only be after you do as much damage as possible to him first. I have always had a great relationship with my father, but even just one move from him like that I would do the same thing. If you lay down and take it he will just continue this behavior with other people when he doesn't get his way. Do it for others around him if not for yourself.
Poor Tim. Your dad sounds toxic AF. Close that door and move on with your life! Blood IS NOT thicker than water if blood treats you this way.
Very fishy story - too many details that do not add up. You do not know both sides of the story and what he really wanted was a way to get the RS people to tell him how to get back his $16,000 when it was his own fault for not having health insurance. What other poor decisions did he make along the way?
First caller, the son, will realize that he is just like his dad. Leaving the family business for a better opportunity is one thing...going to the family business's main competitor is done for PURE SPITE.
normally i like ken and his advise and humor but maybe a little over the top on this one about the tenants
That call with Ken saying "two months! I'm saying 3rd date!" Bwah ha ha I am ROLLING. Good thing Ken and George aren't dating. Lol. You two are cracking me up.😂
On a serious note, it is hard to decide when to bring up the money talk. I tend to lead with it, I am sure too soon sometimes, because I am so excited about it.
In my culture, 3rd date is totally normal 😂 But we "date" with marriage in mind. We don't "hang out" for kicks and giggles.
I did too! I'm a Ramsey program fanatic so I think every guy I dated knew that. lol
Even before Dave Ramsey was a part of my life, I brought up debt to my now-husband. Didn’t scare him. He knew I was serious…about us and finances…
Why would somebody who didn't ask to go to the hospital, have to pay for any of it? I think I would get a lawyer. What's to stop his father from doing the same thing again if he has a history of calling the police?
If the story that the first caller telling is true, then this color should sue and I hate to say that but facts are facts, sue his father for the 16000 as well as pain and anguish
It’s the root beer float. My favorite duo.
They’re so fun!
Surely Tim’s father should be prosecuted for wasting police time.
And do YOU know the whole situation - or are you doing just what they did by jumping to conclusions with one side of the story? He also showed himself not the best decision maker when he let himself be admitted to the hospital w/o insurance and apparently totally unaware of how much "just one day" in a hospital could cost.
@@Trustbutverify2651 I’m afraid to say I do not KNOW the whole situation.
@@Nardaa-ox3be Logical explanation, thank you for your interest.
@@Trustbutverify2651You have a great point that we don't ever know the whole story when we hear one side (especially important on the internet) (although I do think it's more fun on the internet to assume a storyteller is being genuine in our response, but that doesn't mean let people trick us or not be honest when we do worry there may be more to the story) but I will ALSO say in some states, hospitals or first responders will be mandated by law to hold people in the ER when they suspect suicidal behavior or a mental health emergency. The caller may have been able to convince the hospital the call was fraudulent and thus let him out quickly, but that doesn't change that the ambulance ride and subsequent hours in the ER may have been legally required of the medical personnel and first responders. However, in that situation I would certainly assume that it should be easier for him to get his debt waived if there was no option for him not to get in the ambulance in a fraudulent situation. But in terms of not knowing the whole story, we also don't know what standards the first responders were nonnegotiabley obligated to.
35:30 Let's talk about the low interest mortgage versus the HYSA.
My mortgage is at 3.5 and my HYSA is about 4.5%. I pay a minimal amount on interest because I've paid a lot down already.
What everyone fails to realize, you PAY TAXES on that HYSA. So for me to make that extra 1%, I got docked about ~250 dollars on Federal refund because of the ~$700 I made in HYSA once it was added to my account.
Nothing to do with "being tied to a location", nobody ever talks about your interest gained being taxable income. While "free money" is still a gain, you don't get 100% of it..
Ive been following Ramsey for four years. Invested in the 4 categories but I’m in the same place as I started. Anyone have any input or used Edelman Financial? They used to be Ramsey endorsed but are not anymore. I have an appointment with them coming up but I’m afraid of getting a FA.

Totally with George on paying off the house for the simple reason that freeing up that payment can enable you to cash flow so many other major expenses.
Nicholas isnt ready to adult yet. He got way in over his head with his first and only girlfriend. Now that he has kicked her out he wants to move back home. Stay where you are and suck it up. People break up and move on with their life. Time to grow up.
This is a comment directly to the guy with the business credit card debt. While there is shame in the business debt and you hiding it. I have found that the best course of action is to involve your wife in the decisions. If you don't think she will understand the issues or doesn't understand the business, maybe just maybe you haven't thought it through enough. She can help and has your best interest at heart.
Nicolas decided to end a 6 year relationship with a woman because of a tik tok he saw.... sounds crazy
This is a good example of why I often say I hope anyone calling the show seeks additional counsel before making serious life-leaps! Even the RS team advocate occasionally for legal, emotional or financial remedies outside of their own, and rightly so. Nobody has All the answers neatly tidied away, particularly when so many callers’ facts and personalities are involved. Nicholas might have benefited from counseling before he jumped out of his relationship after “hearing Dave.” It could be he did the right thing but maybe he could have found peace in his decision if it hadn’t been so knee-jerk….and hey, there’s that other side we haven’t heard from either.
yeah... i was thinking this was likely a troll call

First thing that popped in my mind... Dave broken this couple up😂
Madison is such a disciplined young woman. So proud of her.
Why aren’t you checking if the odors are collecting in the neighbors apartment? Maybe better ventilation would solve this. Going to head butting aggression should not be the first suggestion
These first two calls are WILD.
The tagline for the 2nd one is awesome. “ I kicked out my girlfriend because of Dave”!
Nicholas should listen to the lady from ATL asking for a divorce.
47:00 - yes he needs to SUE his multi-millionaire malicious dad.
And you know both sides of the story, do you?
Who the heck treats their son like that…. Crazy
How is a couple making $270k have 50k on credit cards, 2 unpaid for cars, and zero retirement at 52?
their nest egg was tied up in a bunch of real estate properties with mortgages on them 😏
Great advice, George - FREEZE YOUR CREDIT! It used to be rather tricky with various PINs, etc. Now it's so simple. I've mentioned that MANY times in these comments.
I feel for Ann… I’m in the same boat.
No way I would ever pay a 16k debt I didn't incur
So I believe medical bills won’t show up on your credit as long as you pay like 10$ a month while she pays off those high interest credit cards. We had no insurance when we had our first child and it was thousands. They never came after us as long as we paid every month. 10$ per bill so we could pay off other more important bills and start the snowball
The smell call. I can’t. I almost died laughing
Sorry, didn't catch the callers name. But, being the bigger man and moving on and forward is the best revenge. Sorry you are going through this with your Dad.
1st caller, ladies beware; this is what happens when house playing goes wrong.
Madison, stop negotiating with your husband, stop dividing assets prior to reaching a final agreement on all issues. Let your attorney be your advocate, you've been settling for less than you deserve.
What happens when you are not aligned financially, but already in a committed loving relationship?
Take FPU together
What happedned to Ken ? He was on the show for the first 1/2 hour. Jade was put in instead after that half hour. No info was shared with the audience.
They frequently fill in for one another for the first while. No info really needed, in my opinion.
Could it be that Jade was supposed to be there all the time but she arrived late for some reason and Ken steped in? Some traffic or Kids school issues...
They don 't need to "inform" the audience of any of their decisions about hosting the show. This happens from time to time and, personally, I like the midstream switch-up. Remember - this is a three-hour RADIO show that is edited down for two hours on TH-cam. I'm sure people have things come up in their lives which make a last-minute change necessary. Maybe Jade and Ken both could only commit for half the time. Traffic? Doctors appointments? Emergencies? I would presume life happens to them as well, regardless of any pre-planned schedule.
You mean the first "hour"?
Nicholas sounds extremely defensive and narccistic. You can tell how often he repeats himself. Like he doesn't trust he's being heard. This man wanted a partnership, not a relationship. She dodged one hell of a bullet
A relationship IS a partnership. His girlfriend was a grown toddler, not a mature woman that you can build a life with.
Regarding Madison who is going thru a divorce - I have a feeling it is not going to be as smooth with all the splitting of the assets from an abusive spouse as the dust settles. Get a lawyer to protect you please, and get a good lawyer, please please please do your research when hiring a lawyer.
How do you know he's abusive? You only heard one side of the story, and that from a woman who never worked outside the home and now, by her own admission, is going to try and get more than half. There are always two sides to every story. You know who wins when you hire a "good" lawyer in family court matters? The lawyer.
Holy 💩 Dan grow a backbone 😂😂😂
8:08 cook some fish and boil some peppers, maybe some jalapeño or habanero peppers. 😆
I used to have a neighbor who always mad because I’m mowing the grass and complaining that mine lawnmower is too loud.
Why does she have your phone number?? Block her. And do welfare check on her screaming..record it
Jennifer, do NOT touch the 403b - George is right on this. Another reason he did not mention is that the 403b, when you are paying into it, can often lower your tax bracket. You can stop it, but you also need to be aware of what that might do to your taxes, depending on how much you are contributing.
So... how would Jade feel if someone out the blue moon calls and says Jade about to end her life? Then Jade gets a $16k bill... wait then Jade pays the debt and then the person does the same again... Really... how would Jade handle the fraud?
That is what is happening to this guy... he's paying for fraud and it could happen again..
These comments are so mean! Dry mouth, sarcasm, etc. Why are you trolls here if you can't take discipline?
there is a difference between "discipline" and just flat out bad advice. Ramsey personalities aren't perfect, sometimes they have bad days just like everyone else
3ed sate ..yes
I wouldnt tell the lady you’re recording her.
I would just record her AND then start calling the cops for noise complaints
That would help give the landlord a fight to get her out w the police reports and videos

It’s called living on absolutely nothing and she probably lived with her parents while she was knocking it out. Either way, who cares
She lived with four roommates. It also took her 24 months to pay off the loans. Your comment sounds like you thought she paid it off in one year, and it doesn't sound like you listened to her entire story, or you would have known that, @antwanfishscale6967.
@@bettedavis9261 no, I listened to it. ~40k year 1, ~120k year 2.
If she spent absolutely $0 on living, food, car, insurance she would still be 20-30k short after taxes to pay off 120k+ in debt. Either 1, her numbers are off or she had the best sponsors in the world to cover 100% of her living expenses.
Still think it's great to hear, but I pull great inspiration for my debt free journey from these stories and it loses it's luster when it doesn't add up.
@@OopThereItIs77777 We care lol. That's why we watch, then read and react to comments

Guys.... Ask more questions; $7,000 net cash flow on a property is nothing to sneeze about. That's not considering debt pay down, appreciation and depreciation. Allison! Keep your rental 2:01:00
