Its an OK case. One thing to be aware of is that when the USB 3.0 port is used for the SSD you will get WiFi and Bluetooth interference which drastically reduces the signal. You can try lining the USB cable and board with some foil but make sure its insulated to not short it. I used some electrical tape to insulate then board, then foil over that. And it helps a fair bit.

Need a little bit of help here. I've burnt the image to my ssd. I've used a sd to change the boot sequence to usb first. Still can't get it to work. Im guessing I'm missing a step or 2. Any set-up advice would be appreciated. Cheers!

Have you updated the Pi 4 firmware first? There's plenty of guides for how to do this. Afterwards it should work fine and you don't need to change any settings after writing the image.

    Anyone get ext4-fs error

With retropie builds, I usually just rewrite the image if I get something like this. It is usually faster and less faffing around trying to repair broken filesystems on linux.

@@RetroGamingBanter I used gparted to expand the partition that probably caused the issue. I will rewrite image and see if it works. Thanks

@@rockym83 It should automatically expand the partition on first boot. If not you can do it through the Raspberry Pi settings.

I have not had any issues myself. What issues did you read about? If I have some time I can check for them.

@@RetroGamingBanter freezing at boot, and loading screens

I have booted it up probably 15+ times over the few days while making the video and playing afterward and its never frozen. The bit after the intro is actually part of the first boot up sequence with reboots etc.
By default there is no emulator/game loading screens, you have to enable them which I have not done, so there could be an issue with them enabled. If its not enabled then its just a short black screen while the emulator loads up. I never had any issues though. I will check it later on with them enabled and try some random emulators and games and see if anything happens.

Do you have an installation guide? I'm just getting into the pi and retro gaming, so the torrenting and everything has got me a bit lost

I have this running fine on my Retropie, however, I've gone through the controller setup several times and I can't seem to get ANY controllers to work with the exception of the "Fire" button. (I'm using an Atari Fight Stick w/trackball). Any ideas?
