3:22 thank you for the tip! My 128gb image was a black screen for 15 minutes. It takes time to decompress and fill the 128gb card. I would of aborted & started over without your tip. Thx

Hi, i finished an image of mine on an 256GB sd card and i have the backup of that as a single file .img. Can i use etcher and install the same image (of the sd card) on my 2TB HDD or do ihave to use only images that have been made just for hdds?
Also do i have to change any option?
I am using retropie pi4 and i own the nespi case also.

    Hi there
I have issues with booting image on raspberry pi 4 (wolfanoz image 1tb)
    With SSD (Kingston 960 g)
I did the steps and commands literally!
    sudo apt update
    sudo apt upgrade
    sudo rpi-update
    sudo reboot
    sudo apt install rpi-eeprom
    sudo nano /etc/default/rpi-eeprom-update
    replace critical by beta
    crtl-x and Y
    sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -f
    sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -f /lib/firmware/raspberrypi/bootloader/beta/pieeprom-2020-05-15.bin
But still can't boot from USB
    What's your best advise?
    What should I do?
    Is there something missing?

See the guide at www.tomshardware.com/uk/how-to/boot-raspberry-pi-4-usb . You can start from step 4 which will install the latest firmware. Then follow the rest of the guide to set where to boot from. Also connect the SSD to the top USB 3 port (blue) if you are not already.
