Gorgeous opal, sand spot or not the play of color is so bold and bright! I think it would benifit from a bezel setting to hide the sides. Dont get to see color like that very often though, thank you for sharing the experience!

I wait on cutting anything until I have more then 1 opal to work on. Always have 1 that turns out good and don’t feel like it’s wasting time to set up for 1 and possible disappointment and just dealing with what I got out of the process.
