      What causes it to be clear after cutting/polishing and the cloudy up later?
      Beautiful gem either way. So flashy from every angle.

      @@katatonicetc.7883 Thank you for the question. To be honest I don't exactly know all about it. I just know that when these opal soak up water they become very clear, and as they dry out they become cloudy once again. I will have to look this up and add it in a future video for sure though.

      Good work. I love opals and cut them myself.
      More australian then ethiopian opal bud its a chill hobby and every stone has its owne story.

Ethiopian opals are all we can afford at the moment but when we get the cash I will defiantly be cutting Australian opals. I hear they are some of the most frustrating but satisfying to cut. How long have you been cutting opals for?
