    The old saying the last 10% takes 90% of the time. I feel like you are around that point. Don't feel bad about it taking longer than planned. You have done so much learning along the way.
    Be interested if you have had the ok from the engineer about welding to those tabs to seat rails.

      @DesignedandBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Benny, thank you :) you're absolutely right about that last 10%. To your second point, yep. It is overbuilt to what VSB 14 specifies.

    Nicely done. I put the same seats I. My GQ with custom made brackets (by me). They are great seats as the height adjuster is built in. Mine are a tad higher too so it's great for wheeling.
    Love your progress.

    • @DesignedandBuilt
      @DesignedandBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, yeah I played around with the height for a bit, it may not look it but too much higher and I would have risked hitting my head on the roof if I went over potholes! I do enjoy them high though, excellent vis :)!

    Is the bronze paint some kind a special rust inhibitor?

    • @DesignedandBuilt
      @DesignedandBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Odin, it's actually weld through primer. Not sure I will paint over it, it rubs back pretty easily and is just to keep the bare metal from rusting away.

    I know they're not cheap but have you looked at any of the vintage air options?

    • @DesignedandBuilt
      @DesignedandBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the vintage air slimline, they are designed for a LHD car and don’t fit well into a 40 series, they are definitely a good value for money option In comparison to some of the stuff out there.

    • @_bodgie
      @_bodgie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DesignedandBuilt I was thinking more along the lines of the integrated options with ducting. Some seem to be pretty compact and may tuck up under the dash. You're probably very limited given the plans you have though.
