Thanks mate! I have a feeling there is going to be a lifetime of development on the rig, the best projects are never finished after all. Got some cool build ideas after it’s done :)
Hey mate, just wondering if you have plans to put a gasket of some sort in between the tunnel and cover to reduce the chance of a rattle occurring between them. Or is using just nut serts and capscrews a secure enough method of assembly between the 2
Hey Scott, was thinking about either water jetting a gasket or possibly just using some stick on rubber as a gasket. More the merrier I reckon! I’ll get around to it after paint. Would help with water ingress as well.
Loved this episode. I worked in 3D animation for years with Silicon Graphics workstations back in the day and it’s amazing this scanning technology how far it’s come. Are you going to sell the roof consoles? I would be interested in one. Great work mate!
Super Cool mate !! As someone who has used cad a fair bit this will defiantly on my list when i start a new project. Curious what Cad software you use?
Hey Mate, using a few places around Melbourne. There are heaps of laser cutters/water jet cutters, basically whoever has the least lead time. DM me on IG and I'll share some of the names!
@@DesignedandBuilt make it happen!! On a side note I’m keen to ride trails with you and your brother, next year I will be building some of the best jumps with claw and fashion so yeah I’m keen to do jumping stunts🤙🤘 let’s hope we can get radivo and Manson out for a roll too haha
Possibly Jamie, like every 1st attempt it would need a little bit of refinement before I would be happy selling it to someone else! Would also be great if I tweaked the design so no one had to weld it up!
Another sick video mate, I don't want you to finish this build but i can't wait to see it finished. Your making mad content, keep doing you bro.👌🇦🇺

Thanks enjoyed watching very interesting well done
Thank you!
'obviously some cup holders as well' haha love it.
Rude not to include them, how else am I going to fit my 2 red bulls and 2 coffees to keep the project car dream alive?!
Another great video just looking great like the roof console designed.
Cheers James!!
We live in the future haha great job!
The future is now 😎
Great stuff Richard, that laser thingy is a real game changer mate. Seeya Rob
Cheers Rob!!
Awesome work super clean and professional
Cheers Nathan!
That's awesome
Thank you 🤙🏽
I bet You can Sell Copy's of that file?
Yet again mate fkn awesome work cob

Back at you!

Awesome Justin. It has come a long way!! Yep certainly am, just dialling in the design. Watch this space 👀
@@DesignedandBuilt I’ll keep my eyes peeled mate!
It was a good video mate but it was really short for what was done I like it where you have longer videos and have more things done in them
Cheers Bailey, yeah fair point. Fair bit of work virtually in this one and not as much fab. We’ll get back into it next time!!!
Super Cool mate !! As someone who has used cad a fair bit this will defiantly on my list when i start a new project. Curious what Cad software you use?
Thanks mate, using Solidworks!
Hey mate who are you using for your laser cutting and folding. I have a similar build where I need these services also

How do they charge?? Per hour or??
Day Rate for this job, I think it depends on the size of the job. Might be worth enquiring with them!
With a 3D scan of your car when it’s completed would you be able to do a 3D print of it so you have model of your exact car?
Now there’s an idea!!! Absolutely possible, I reckon I’ll do that :)

Keen mate!
Great vid guys. Are you thinking of selling the consoles?

Dose that scanner give you a cad working model how accurate it is
It gives you graphics files to work off, not part files. Accuracy is within 0.3mm!
I want to see what works there is no need to show in Your voice is enough
My voice is there to explain the work I’m doing!
...I've completely lost interest in the actual car, it's so overdone it's hideous but I'm staying for all the design and modern manufacturing stuff :)
Haha thanks mate, I’ll take that as a compliment I guess?!?
