That tech is a true pro. Love all the small touches in his work and how thorough, gentle with the parts, and how he takes his time. First class work. All of this can be done at home but it's easy to snap off small clips and things if you're not careful. Great to see a real pro at his craft. Would love to meet you at Denton sometime just to say hi. You misunderstand. StreetSpeed717 is more of a vlogging channel of Mike's life and cars than anything else. Most of the installs that go on his cars are not done by Mike anyway, he almost always has someone else do it for him. If your looking for install guides your looking in the wrong place bro.

Guys, the corporate lawyers made the call to ship the PCM etc., separately. Tim K. didn't want to do it that way, but didn't go into detail about why they were shipped separately. He said as much during the Demon reveal.
I think the pcm change is that the car has to break in before the line lock and other racing stuff can work. I know its for the trans brake to work anyway.
I did one today. Couldn't have cared less other than the value of the vehicle I deal with 4 to 5 cars a day and this thing while interesting doesn't do any thing for me. It's just a job
most mechanics would think of him as the "nightmare" customer, the one who hovers over your shoulder as you work - what makes it even worse is he was filming it ( i enjoy the video but i feel for the tech - hope he didn't mind)

Got 3 Questions for Ya !! 1) What is the purpose of replacing the passenger side air vent with the supplied "Demon Crate Item " ? 2) Does the A/C still work with the Performance "Demon Crate Module" installed ? There is a Flat USB type Demon Key included in the owners manual. what is this flat red key used for ?
Yeah, introduce them to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. They have to prove that the alteration, part or whatever caused the problem in order to void the warranty.
I don't know why anyone would buy the Trackhawk over the Demon. Sure It has all weather capability but you don't drive special vehicles In snow or rain. I like the fact that the Demon has to go to the dealership to unlock the HO. It's like Clark Kent going Into the phone booth to become Superman. The Demon Is just flat out sick

Im shocked the Tech did not have you remove that CCW in the center console. I left mine and ford made me come up and get mine out of the glove box. I was still at the dealership. I caught that BTW what is it? I cant make out the make...
The Demon is one badass ride but Ill never understand why they didnt just make the tune switchable instead of having to swap the entire PCM. Its like all the technology in that car and then you go and do some friggen 90s shit like that. Its almost like the guy that was in charge of that part wasn't aware that mode selection technology existed.lol You had one job PCM guy! 😂😂😂😂
Is it an option to do it this way? I'd expect to sign papers on a demon and be done with it, with the exception of the personalized dash vent being installed, I wouldnt want anyone going near it.
Why not do the work yourself if you already know how to do it. I mean your telling him what to do. Thought that was the whole idea behind buying the crate.
It's not cost effective to do it yourself. The money that would have had to be spent to get the equipment and programing to do it verses what the dealership chargers is a no brainer, and it's a warranty issue. Plus the dealer refunded the chargers.

@Red.Flash 392, In order for Dodge to pass current standards, they had to sell the PCM and the rest of the items as an aftermarket product and have the parts shipped directly to you and charge you for it ($1). The PCM unlocks 840 HP and the center stack allows you to use the 100 high octane race fuel.
Tim K. (CEO of Dodge) said the PCM had to be shipped separately in order to appease the lawyers. The car is 100% legal with the PCM and 100 octane. It will pass inspection. Lawyers wanted the PCM shipped separately. He didn't go into the reasons. At the launch of the Demon, he explained the crate and why the PCM is delivered after the car is sold.

rebelrob , the air vent was swapped out for a personalized air vent that was included in the Dodge Demon Crate that's shipped out once you've purchased a Demon. The PCM install unlocks the car for 840 HP, and the center stack swap lets you activate the high octane fuel mode. Thanks for watching!
Why is this not installed at the factory. Surely you ordered the car so the personalization would be on the car when the factory gets the order. Why isn't the PCM and center stack put in at the factory. That is what makes a Demon a Demon no? So when you order a Demon it is not a Demon until this stuff is installed? Makes no sense.
bass man when you order a vehicle you still have the option to back out of the purchase until you finance it. Banks want finance a vehicle until you take delivery of it and have a vin. Once you take possession of the vehicle, you can call the dodge concierge . They will verify the purchase, and make the custom parts with your name on it since you own the car.
if you truly own the car why register it ?? when you register it you give ownership to the state.. and then you get a fraud title called a certificate of title ( non ownership but Borrowing from the government with payment to a bank if you got a loan)....

Dodge had to ship the PCMs to the house as an aftermarket product for the 100 Octane (for emissions), and they had to charge $1 for the crate that includes the PCM to make it an aftermarket product.
Kinda stupid to me that you have to purchase the crate and then take it back to the dealership to install these options, why not just install them at the factory when you opt to buy the crate? I would rather it be installed at the factory, then have the guy who works in the service department of my local dealership taking apart my brand new console.
Vincent Montano I said supersnake gt500 850hp. Its a Gt500 with a kenne bell 3.6 supercharger. You could get a 2.9 ford racing whipple supercharger installed at the dealership with full warranty. 750hp back in 2010. I put a 3.6 kenne bell on my 2011 Gt500 and made 801whp and 792tq on 93 octane and 21 degrees timing. 7 years later and still no need for warranty. No issues. Dodge is late to the party. We have already seen these go numbers and beyond last 10 years.
Michel Hadid yeah it is. They made 500 in 13/14. 850hp on 91 octane. They put down 747whp. 50 state legal. Stock ford internals. Just upgrades to a gt500.
Vincent Montano one needs race fuel and other needs 91 octane. That's a big difference. And one uses stock pcm and other needs com installed and race gas. Also Supersnake ran a 10.8 at 134 on street tire. No drag radicals or skinny front tires and was 4 years ago and a manual. Auto swapped Gt500s where in the 9s back in 2009-10 with stock engine setup. Supercharged 2018 mustang already went 10.2 at 135 already

Sort of annoying they didn't just have this stuff installed at factory. Seems silly.
Dodge had to ship the PCMs to the house as an aftermarket product for the 100 Octane (for emissions), and they had to charge $1 for the crate that includes the PCM to make it an aftermarket product.

Kinda stupid to me that you have to purchase the crate and then take it back to the dealership to install these options, why not just install them at the factory when you opt to buy the crate? I would rather it be installed at the factory, then have the guy who works in the service department of my local dealership taking apart my brand new console.

Dam 850hp Shelby Supersnake made it on 91 octane. Why can't big company like dodge do that?
Vincent Montano I said supersnake gt500 850hp. Its a Gt500 with a kenne bell 3.6 supercharger. You could get a 2.9 ford racing whipple supercharger installed at the dealership with full warranty. 750hp back in 2010. I put a 3.6 kenne bell on my 2011 Gt500 and made 801whp and 792tq on 93 octane and 21 degrees timing. 7 years later and still no need for warranty. No issues. Dodge is late to the party. We have already seen these go numbers and beyond last 10 years.
Vincent Montano demons don't come 840hp stock either. Have to use a pcm and race gas. Just like we tune our stock pcm.

Michel Hadid yeah it is. They made 500 in 13/14. 850hp on 91 octane. They put down 747whp. 50 state legal. Stock ford internals. Just upgrades to a gt500.
Vincent Montano one needs race fuel and other needs 91 octane. That's a big difference. And one uses stock pcm and other needs com installed and race gas. Also Supersnake ran a 10.8 at 134 on street tire. No drag radicals or skinny front tires and was 4 years ago and a manual. Auto swapped Gt500s where in the 9s back in 2009-10 with stock engine setup. Supercharged 2018 mustang already went 10.2 at 135 already
