The way you describe the gothic series is funny
I owned 2 10s putting them at about 1500 watts. The xmax 22mm per PA tech phone number. Ran them for over a year. Better than kicker for a budget sub set up.
Wow I have 4 gothic subs I have them installed well 2 of them installed in a ground shaker bandpass box and I tell you what. They hit hard. So I BOUGHT 2 more another ground shaker bandpass box another power acoustic amp and I'm going to run 2 batteries. Thank god I'm installing them in my chevy avalanche. But ya very good speakers they really hit hard. Hard enough to shake the windows on my neighbors house 600 yards away hard
Personally I don't know how anyone could support a brand that false advertises. If you are on a budget, just grab skar audio..

Got the Walmart gothics on a skar amp.... no complaints even tuned low for lack of reserve power and a small box.

The 10 is rated 1k rms but starts smelling at 800? Clipping? Piss poor amp? Maybe it is still just way the fuck over rated. Power Acoustic sounds like shit in a box to me.
And here I have Hertz woofers that can easily handle twice their rated power. :D
They handle 600-700 rms. & i agree They sounds like shit. I have a pair. I have a new pioneer double din and Rockford Fosgate amp.
I have 2= (4 ohm Dvc...12" Gothics) in a Slot Ported Box tuned at about 45 hurts and wired down to a 1ohm (Parallel) load at the Amplifier! I am currently running about 800 watts continuously and they Beat like a Red Headed Stepchild!!! Defenantly worth the 90$ a pop Hands Down!! 💪🔊🔊💯🎆🎆
I have 2 12in gw3 had them at 1ohm each both being powered with a pioneer d7901 2400watts 1200rms they sure pounded hard but at certain times they would like pop but now have them at 4ohms have the gain from the amp like 1/4 of a turn subwoofer bass at -6 on a kenwood double din all I have to do is adjust the gain to the audio control epicenter & the bass boost knob provided with the amp they sound amazing they bump really good wired at 4ohms
if it helps I have the 12inch gw-3 sub's and they slam being going strong for 3yrs now

Your just reading off specs in front of a camera then showing pics of the product and reviews from other people. anyone can go on amazon or sonicelectronix and do that. People come to TH-cam looking for more than that. I mean No one would be watching Steve Meade if he just sat infront of a green screen or his desk reading off a spec sheet from the mfg website. Your channel is just one step above those review channels with just a stock photo the whole time and a bad robot voice.

Quinn Meche these subs suck ass. I have a pair of 15s and they BARELY handle 700 watts rms a piece and they start sounding like crap the higher they go, not to mention the nasty smell. I stuck with some kicker L7s with the same amp instead
Power acoustik rms is never true. Half of what they claim I think is more like it.
I have 2 of the gothic 12s running at 1000 watts rms/ 1 ohm... i built aeroport boxes tuned to 30 hertz and holy $h1t do they pound!!! By far the best budget subs out there in my n opinion, and under 100 bux at walmart! My poor car plastics are getting loose, and opening your mouth inside the whip is like speaking through a fan blade hahaha. Better get you some of these no joke. Just make sure you put them in a ported box

When people are talking about the gothic dual voice coil they should be specific do you have the blue 4 ohm dual voice coil or do you have the black Power Acoustik Gothic 2 ohm dual voice coil sub
I have the ones from Walmart...and I had then in a 2002 impala i looked under the seat for my remote and thought I busted my eardrum rang 3 days ...I also have a pair in my crown vic and boy my trunk is almost unhinged😂😂ive blown several subs from audio pipe,to polk audio to boss to orion and the Gothic pa, is by far the best I've had..the black and blue ones 2500 watts

I have three of these, on a 8000 watt power acoustic bamf amp. They do smell when breaking in, but besides that they are very good subs that pound really hard. I've been pounding them for a year now and they destroyed two sub boxes so far. But now I have a q-bomb box and they sound even more spectacular.
I guess I'm pretty randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to stream newly released series online?

Got mine a couple months ago from Walmart.... the gw-124 model not the gw3s
They do well in twos I have the 12’s and they lasted me two years. I’ve had them at1ohm 2400 RMS on a HIFONICS BRX-2400 YES THEY BUMP BEST TO DO 1200-1300 RMS @2-ohms. consistency

To add with any sub of this caliber should be put at 500-750 Rms for longevity perhaps they are NOT COMP SUBS.
254oz magnet my ass my soundqubed hds312 has a bigger magnet than those and its only 160oz 😂 eh but those power acoustiks are decent for the money just the specs are WAY off so I would ignore them.
With the SOUNDSTEAM technology they supposed to have SOUNDSTREAM did the same over/underrating the power. Nothing new.

personally have 3 15 inch power acoutiks, on a ssl 6000, the dual 2 ohm sucks to have 3 so to be safe wired to 3ohm. still a lil under powered but man does my entire caprice shake like a Mofo. Would recommend these subs to anyone looking for good bass at a cheap price. had mine for 4 years now almost and still bumpin

They over rate their amps by over 75%, I can only imagine their subs are the same. They're just as bad as Rockville, if not a little worse.

I need a amp for a pair of 12’s for the gothic series
I'm using Hifonics 3016.1 with two gothic 10 DVC "s wired at 0.5 Ohm (meter only sees 0.4 Ohm) been running for a year, amp gets hot after 2 hours of FLEX. If I were to do it again I would wire at 2 Ohms and use this amp www.amazon.com/TARAMPS-HD3000-Channel-Amplifier-Filter/dp/B00DZGCH52/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=taramp&qid=1559145910&s=gateway&sr=8-2 The only negative I could find for the amp is that BigDwiz says Thramps doesn't do well at low volumes

I have two gothic 12s rms 1200 each. Doing parralel wiring to go 1ohm. So will i need a amp that pushes 2400 too 2800 rms?
