Y'all's prediction game is on point
this might go without saying but don't read any of the comments. Some of them have absolutely no chill. Major spoilers out here. Also the "thing" jinora was looking at wasn't just a statue of a spirit but like all of the statues there, its an avatar that she is looking out. I would also notice that it is also made of wood not marble or whatever the other statues are made of.

Apparently they really didnt want korra yo rely on the past lives the way they thought aang did. That's why they do as little with them as possible.
@@pistolwhip6910 they said go back....Though only Kuruk directly said find Raava. So of the known Avatars, only he knew. Also its not as though the Avatars knew what to do about spirits. Every recent Avatar either fought them or completely ignored them; Aang had just started to reconnect with spirits in small doses. To quell their destructive side or meet with what's necessary for him to progress/deal with the current battle. Korra expands that as she deals with understanding the importance of spirituality and figuring its function within the material world, for all(not just the burden of the Avatar alone).

I honestly always kinda felt the same way. The art for him is just unappealing, and the show really wants to push him for the younger viewers I guess. My first attempt at watching Korra I will admit I snobbishly let things like Meelo really sour my feelings about it, but I do know there's lots of great stuff about Korra now.

Korra was actually animated by Koreans, including atla. If I remember correctly season 2 of korra even had help from a Japanese studio.

Korra story is good, it's just that Aangy story is a masterpiece and will always be. But I'm definitely enjoying Korra's story.

Meelo running into a rock while riding an air scooter is similar to the manner in which Aang collided with a statue in the opening sequence for Avatar: The Last Airbender.
This is the first episode Asami does not appear in since her introduction in "The Voice in the Night".
At 12:00 that statement sums up Korra's character for this entire season and possibly the series as a whole in my opinion. 😂

Even though this season is seen as the weakest of the four, your near-constant attempts to figure out what's going on, really highlights that even the "weakest" season is still very engaging.
That pretty much sums up avatar as a whole. Even the worst is awesome
The worst of shows as great as LOK/ATLA are better than most shows bests. That's why I vehemently disagree with those who despise this season. As though it's the worst in all of anime/animation/tv in general.

Sheera's predictions are, most of the times, on point, and I'm kinda into it. Though I dont really like this season of TLOK, (cuz of the plotholes, maybe idk), i always love watching these guys react to these.

I understand dislike for certain aspects of this season. That's a bit contradictory though. As they did predict many things in ATLA as well...So if you're consistent in your assessment. Then you'd should say that with ATLA as well(doubt ya did/do though.) Imo, both are upper echelon animations. ATLA a couple notches higher, simply by the parallels and having everything clearly come full circle.
The writing is fine. They're watching it as adults, it's not that hard to feel something is off about Unalok and that the spirits look different/corrupted from their usual image.

On one hand they predicted ALL the plot points, and this makes the 1st part of season 2 on the weaker side. But it is INCREDIBLY well thought out. The season 1 finale inflated her ego that she truly is unstoppable on the physical department. But with that inflation she is extremely vulnerable to a psychopathic narcissist.
Which is exactly what Unalaaq is. He plants his full “trust” in her, and is very aggressive to those around her and says, these people can’t be trusted. And she starts putting serious doubts on her greatest allies because his “trust” is so large that it can’t possibly be wrong. And yes to the outside everyone is desperately trying to show that they are still the trusted friends and families, yet they don’t notice the true toxic action of the one separating them. From far away it’s easy as hell to see. Up close, it’s freaking impossible to pick up on. The dynamic is SO well thought out and I’ve seen this A LOT. Just because it’s predictable doesn’t make it any less amazing. And mid season her doubts on allegiances leads to doubt in herself. Which amplifies HARD into one of the best parts of the season. Season 2 is unquestionably my favorite. Even if that’s an unpopular opinion.
